22:35 I keep hearing this in commentary whenever you see my Gaira NOT following up w/ 8BC Heavy pursuit after 360 CMD grab. It’s done on purpose to prevent the opponent from having the option to trigger SoN .
In a situation like this, the opponent is desperately trying to hold onto SoN while trying to win w/o it.
I will then make a few trade-off meaning i might let them get away with a throw punish or a couple of random normal hits. In either case, I am only looking for an opportunity to CMD grab…. To end it, or else I can still take it to the 3rd round. It is a calculated risk in my favor.
What ends up happening is that it gives them a false hope especially if they manage to hit me with something. That is usually when they make a mistake or fail to foresee the setup for a delayed CMD grab.
They think they might be able to win without wasting SoN.
That is usually what I do. The next time I do it, you will see it then

When you first taught me this, I realized just how deep the mindgames of SON really go. It's smart (and very scary) to put them in a spot where they can't SoN but will die to a single grab as well.
