You're more of a pro-capitalist, in the way I see it communism is just a country sized monopoly on everything under one ceo, monopolies are anti capitalistic due to their anti competitive nature their existence is virtually impossible without having their ties to the state and politicians behind them something that should be separated like the separation of state and the church, that's why in anarcho-capitalism there are no monopolies because the other companies will join forces and use their PMCs to get rid of anything getting too big then go back to doing business and this is why you need the state because without the states monopoly on organized violence(the only thing it should have a monopoly on) both corporations and churches start a lot of wars, situation in US is grim on this specific front(I mean vigilante murder? we haven't had one of those since what 5 century ago?)

Remember that Canada is where 75% of the world’s mining companies are domiciled, giving them a reason to support fascist coups in Venezuela and Bolivia. As a Malaysian, I'm growing up in 80' s that always believing US as a good guys. By high school and university I'm slowly see how brainwashed and blind I'm. The Vietnam War, Iraq I& Afghanistan Invasion, Palestinian Holocaust and so on. No amount of Hollywood, Marvel, DC movies will convince me now that US is the good guys anymore.
Fair enough, but keep in mind the average US citizen is completely brainwashed and has no idea what's really happening. This is also a global issue in which everyone around the world is getting sold into a form of indentured servitude to multi-national private corporations by their own governments.
I've come to think that's what the leaders of the US have always meant by "freedom". The only freedom they care about is the freedom of those with vast amounts of money to use that money however they want. Including the consolidation of power and the oppression of everyone else. That's what American freedom really is.
They claim this, not recognizing that the government and the press are both merely tools for the capitalist ruling class to control the exploited and oppressed masses. As Michael Parenti said, "you can see the troubles you get into, the swamps you go into, the baby-talk silliness you get into when you think without Marx-when you think without class analysis". In Marxist terms, a billionaire-owned press is indeed a state press, so it is no exaggeration to call outlets like NYT and WSJ the USA's state press.
Actually, in Germany we have public media, but it still presents a lot of topics simmilar to corprate media. It's very frustrating. It's sadly not only the billioneirs
All through history since the creation of this vile colony, I fail to find a single good done by the US. Even their contribution in defeating fascism was overblown and ended in massacres.
All the times GWB said "we fight them over there so we don't have to face them here at home" was all smoke and mirrors (hardly any "shock and awe" at all).
The One question I have: why do government agencies, like the CIA, eventually declassify documents, that prove their wrong doing? Why does the government admit to the public that they’ve cheated, so one must conclude that they will do it again?
Because no one really cares and no one is in a position to change things. Also, it allows them to show how freedom loving they are such that the same people that criticise them will be the same people to take up arms against the likes of Hitler or Stalin should there 'freedoms' to criticise be threatened.
The world has always been those with the power using it to better and enrich themselves. It isn’t “good” per se, and ironically I hear so much about the CIA and little to nothing about similar agencies activities in other countries it probably gives me a skewed view. With that said, the agencies are proud, as people so often are, if their activities worked at enrichment.
ChatGPT thought my response could be better fleshed out. I’m not sure that I agree, but JIC, “The declassification of such documents might seem counterintuitive, but pride could be a key motivator. Intelligence agencies, like people, often take pride in their accomplishments-even when those actions involved morally questionable tactics. They may view these actions as necessary sacrifices for the ‘greater good’ or evidence of their effectiveness. By revealing these activities, they might hope to showcase their ingenuity, persistence, or success in achieving strategic goals. This phenomenon reflects a broader human tendency to rationalize and even celebrate results, regardless of the ethical cost. While legal requirements and political shifts play a role in declassification, this pride-driven need for recognition may also explain why such revelations occur, despite their controversial nature.”
Do you know anything about Venezuela? Even left wing goverments of Latin America like Chile and Brazil are denouncing the fraud. The americsn media is 100% correct
Which is always hilarious cause the same people were crying like little girls during covid over empty shelves , Yet they never would put 2+2 together and realize that's exactly what western countries do to places like Venezuela except infinitely worse . They expect other countries to.thrive with a massive boot on their neck but when shelves are empty here and hundreds of thousands sleep on the streets without the boot on our neck they can't figure out the disconnect .

The empire is crumbling, that's for sure. The focal point is the conflict in Ukraine and Middle East, where the empire is losing badly, though they had a stroke of luck in the middle east lately. But overall, with the BRICS starting to rise, western hegemony is done. Let's hope a better future awaits.
I wonder how many people in the intelligence community have the phrase "I make my own luck" on a motivational poster in their office. Maybe it has a kitten at a podium with a red flag behind but the kitten has a red dot on its head. Anyway, geopolitical developments (and especially their timing) are very, very rarely able to be chalked up to luck or chance.

Just a small correction, Mazzilli wasn't from military despite being incorporated up to 1935 and having fought the 1932 constitutional revolution against the first Vargas government. When the coup ocurred in 1964 he was president of the chamber of deputies, which to this day has the prerogative to be the president in the absence of the actual president and their vice (not exactly the case back then since Jânio resigned and Jango was in a diplomacy trip in China). He was just a puppet for 13 days before Castelo Branco took the presidency through an indirect election and really started the dictatorship.
Started looking at the US with suspicion after re-electing Trump. Made me question a lot about the US and their moral high ground. That was an eye opener. I’m South African, we not any better, but at least we are not under any delusions about our country, it’s ‘freedoms’ and who is really in power

Little correction to a common mistake: the shah (king) of Iran was not installed nor even reinstated after the coup against Mossadegh, he was always the king and Iran at the time was a parliamentary monarchy. He just grabbed more power.
Also, Mazzilli wasn't a military, he was the president of the lower house, later (just a couple of week) there was another change to Castelo Branco (A GENERAL)

Dear Second Thought. I like your content, support through Patreon and rarely miss a video. I am also one of the millions of Venezuelan living in another country after my homeland was destroyed by what Hugo Chavez started and Maduro continued. Your reporting of the 80s and 90s is accurate, as well as what brought Chavez to power. Nevertheless, you didn't mention that since 2002 Chavez had the highest revenue from oil export ever, both as part of the cyclical nature of the business and empowered by the Irak war. Chavez started many social programs and fought imperialism by throwing massive amounts of money at it that no predecesor ever had, while he dismantled any semblance of separation of powers and government institutions. Every single job openings were meant to be filled by loyalists, regardless of preparation, and that would imply political obligations such as participating in rallies. Politics penetrated society to the point that it was inevitable and you had to be on right side of it or be excluded from society. He won elections because he gave money and food away to people that needed it. When the money ran out, consequence in part of how the oil business runs worldwide (fracking and sanctions didn't help), there was no longer money to give away but also no government institutions to allow any kind of accountability or change of power, and this is when repression started. By that time, there were many armed people loyal only to the regime to enforce it. I am sure the NYY is bullcrap and their reporting is biased as sin, but you picked a bad example to prove that point. Please do better. Finding someone from Venezuela to give you some perspective isn't hard, over 7 million have fled the country because of this. I am sure you can one that survived the ordeal.
Friendly jordies has just done two live streams watching a video of the Australian mining companies anniversary party. They admit the current government hurt them making money but at the same time talk about how much they spend in the economy. It's scary how much power those industries have.
This has been going on since the end of the American civil war when it started to expand its international relations. No longer isolationist, despite whoever becomes President, the US is one of if not THE worst nations for interfering with other countries for their own economic gain, yet it cries and whines when other countries do the same to them and to others. No one country is good and just, all the major powers do this sort of thing, but America does it best, gets away with it for a few decades, then wonders why unrest occurs in countries that it victimized for said gain (arming terrorists being the most common cause).
Awesome video, maybe cover the fall of Kadaffi in Libya, that has to do with central banks and their power over everything. Maybe you don’t want to dig into that rabbit hole but you could just cover how the same thing happened in Libya as described in this video.

US and other capitalist countries claim to have free press because its owned by billionaires as opposed to the government😂
Aristocracy of dollars
The USSR won WW2.
i had to respond to the last part what do you mean by that?
Technological developments is the only thing I can think of
@36G it would've happened anyway.
@@gimelnus other than a sorry show of strength, was the nuclear bomb necessary?
I’m not sure that I agree, but JIC,
“The declassification of such documents might seem counterintuitive, but pride could be a key motivator.
Wow. Then certain people keep bringing up Venezuela as a negative example and no one questions them.
Do you know anything about Venezuela? Even left wing goverments of Latin America like Chile and Brazil are denouncing the fraud. The americsn media is 100% correct
Same w Cuba, China, you name it.
@@tonywords6713 Cuban people have some serius struggles... Same with 10THOUSANDS Venezuelans walking up ALL THE WAYto north till US... not fueled by NYT but by MaDURO...
Really great video JT. People who think there is a "freedom of opinion" in the western journalistic world are delusional
Its wild to read about covert regime change from 40 years ago, then learn about CIA shenanigans in Korea today haha
Imagine all the evil shit they are doing now, we will only find out about in 50 years.
Thanks!
While I don’t support all of your ideologies, I commend the incredible work that is presented in such a digestible manner.
LOL the pre-roll ad I got for this video was the CIA “Masterclass” one

China is here and they will take over 😅 no American corporation would be able to compete against a plan market like China BYD will devour Tesla and all other car manufacturers it’s over Marx was right!!
Consistent quality in every dang video. Thanks for keeping up good work
Damn, that was a killer of an ending, that short bit is gonna stay with me for a while.
Objectivity has been shown the middle finger by the mainstream media. Watching from Nairobi, Kenya.
It's not lying. Its Strategic Story Telling. Especially in front of Congressional Oversight. Trust Me.
It doesn't matter. Lying is still lying, and these lies are killing so many innocent lives and destroying possible opportunities because of America's meddling.
I live in venezuela for 5 years as a student now and it was my first presidential election in venezuela.
Propaganda works guys! For real
I could not believe what i read in the international news... 1000000% lies 🤢🤢🤢

I know two different people, one who struggled for years to even be able to flee from Venezuela to Spain, and another one who is trying at this very moment and will finally be able to next year.
I don't think US would make it any better (and it's probably behind a lot of the problems currently there with their sanctions) but Venezuela is not a good place to live right now.
Two AP headlines from the last week :

Just a small correction, Mazzilli wasn't from military despite being incorporated up to 1935 and having fought the 1932 constitutional revolution against the first Vargas government. When the coup ocurred in 1964 he was president of the chamber of deputies, which to this day has the prerogative to be the president in the absence of the actual president and their vice (not exactly the case back then since Jânio resigned and Jango was in a diplomacy trip in China). He was just a puppet for 13 days before Castelo Branco took the presidency through an indirect election and really started the dictatorship.
the gaza war really shows their true colors.
Started looking at the US with suspicion after re-electing Trump. Made me question a lot about the US and their moral high ground. That was an eye opener. I’m South African, we not any better, but at least we are not under any delusions about our country, it’s ‘freedoms’ and who is really in power

I think we would live in more healthier society if this channel would have 100M subscribers, not some shallow Mr.Beast. But still, 1.8M - very impressive and warms my heart

Well done JT. What really puzzles me is the extreme ignorance of American citizens who still believe they are the “good guys”.
A mix of jingoism and faith. Evangelism plays a huge part in turning a lot of people's brains off.
Isolation. No outside views

As a variation of the NYT slogan says, "All the news that fits." It just relays the ruling class's spin.
You may want to call Ian Neves back to talk because similar stories may come from Brasil next year
These so-called Western democracies and pillars of morality need to stop putting their colonial noses where it doesn't belong.
Little correction to a common mistake: the shah (king) of Iran was not installed nor even reinstated after the coup against Mossadegh, he was always the king and Iran at the time was a parliamentary monarchy. He just grabbed more power.
Use of the word 'regime' is revealing.
I got an ad for the CIA masterclass on this 😂😂😂
Hi CIA
I have immense admiration for your work; it's truly awe-inspiring. Thank you for enlightening people and making a difference.
Just a small correction, It's not Eduardo Goulart, it's actually João Goulart. Huge fan from Brazil!
Also, Mazzilli wasn't a military, he was the president of the lower house, later (just a couple of week) there was another change to Castelo Branco (A GENERAL)

JT, you continue to impress with your dedication to sourcing your points and your overall presentation. Your channel is the first I point folks to when I want them to hear and consider that the US, and capitalism in general, might not be as pleasant as they constantly hear.
I enjoyed this video and learned wayyy more than I expected, thank you.

Anyone who pays attention to factual history knows how it gets shaped in realtime.
Brilliant video. Absolutely phenomenally well done.
Merry Christmas comrade JT!
@@xMasterAssassin93 what then was the Mexican/American war about? an experiment perhaps?

Awesome video, maybe cover the fall of Kadaffi in Libya, that has to do with central banks and their power over everything. Maybe you don’t want to dig into that rabbit hole but you could just cover how the same thing happened in Libya as described in this video.
