Roger in his prime is just so beautiful to watch. I think prime Roger could beat prime Novak. The one-two punch serve and forehand combo especially on game points and match points was kinda missing late in his career.Too bad prime Roger has Rafa as his kryptonite. Roger was beating everyone and then lost easily to Rafa in the finals in so many slams simply because Rafa was hitting all balls to his backhand.

@@goyam2981 His one-two punch was rendered ineffective by the slower courts. It’s just sad that he was up against younger baseliners on the surfaces that they feast on the most.
It’s ridiculous to see how much RF evolved over the years while staying at the very top echelons of tennis.

Exactly Alcaraz is like Fed 2.0, and I think deep down Alcaraz wanted to avenge Fed’s lose at 2019 Wimby as Alcaraz kept saying that it was his dream to play Novak in the final, and well, he did it, but wow, I just can’t wait till the U.S Open now, I hope Alcaraz and Novak will face each other in the final again.

The reason Federer is one of a kind is the way he moves, he his by far the most graceful tennis player on the court. You can see alcaraz isn’t nearly as elegant as Federer. I have never been nor am I a fan of Federer's. Yet, whenever any move of his is compared to anyone else's, I can't help wondering how could he be the more elegant of all.
Even in this video, we see an elegance gap between the two (and maybe maybe a slight technical gap as well: this I am not sure of).
Needless to say, you could make this video because you know all best Federer points by heart :))... and are following Alcaraz very closely.

It's really painful to watch any footage of Federer.
I miss the 2003-2007 years so much, he was so quick, so perfect, it's called nostalgia I guess, from Greek nostos ‘return home’ + algos ‘pain.

In tennis, in general, many strokes are similar. Federer was unique. There was no such tennis player before and there is not now. Carlos doesn't look like him at all.

Some resemblance is there, especially his tendency to go for the drop shots, at vital moments too, but he needs to work much harder for the accuracy part. He plays with a lot of power though, Alcaraz, Fed was a power player too but not to that extent, not as athletic either. Honestly, comparing these two different type of players is a bit foolish. Its two handed vs one, its silent vs high grunting.
All my best of luck to Alcaraz though. I just hope he remains fit. Then he can achieve so much he cannot even dream of. And above all, he needs to stay a gentleman, a down to earth human being, unlike that other garbage who set the most terrible example of tennis.
