Back to the Italian style mispronouningsss!!!! I love this!! As an Italian I approve all the strict corrections, and Alan quickly adapts to them. Yet it helps us Italians to pronounce English words: whereas (laddove) he mispronounces Italian words with his accents, we basically understand how to imitate the English pronunciation of words. So in the end: we improve our English pronunciation. Was this the aim of the video? No: but we achieve a reverse engineering effect that helps us gain the native pronunciation of foreigner words. In short: our English pronunciation improves anyway. Two pigeons with a bean? Yes: due piccioni con una fava. Grazie Marco and Alan!

For me the, one thing I will never pronounce the way it should be, is Algida. In Czech republic everyone just says "alghida", it's much easier to go with the flow :) Also, great to see you shooting together again! Your videos helped me a ton when I was learning l'italiano :)

ooo erudizione.. that's a fairly rare word to use, just as in English, "erudtion" is especially rare. One of those "snooty* words used in literature more than spoken forms.

Instead of a logical Neuvante-neuf, we get "quatre-vingt-dix-neuf". GO FIGURE.
You guys are funny, there are a lot of double glottal stops in Japanese too, I totally get how you feel seeing people butcher your own language especially if they are using words without bothering to learn the proper pronunciation but to be fair it’s not that easy to learn each pronunciation just after hearing it just once until you can master the basic phonetics of all the vowels and vowel/consonant blends in a second language. I can teach anyone those basics for Japanese in less than an hour because it’s very simple except some sounds that truly require muscle development.

I guess you know that these Italian brands mispronounce their own names in their own commercials here in the US. So, basically, Americans are being taught to mispronounce Italian words by Italians.
