    I am not even exaggerating when I say this, but this video is hands down the greatest UA-cam video I have ever watched. Not even just the best Pokemon video either. You said it perfectly at the end when you dubbed this a passion project. I honestly think its so cool that you dedicated time and effort to a goal that may seem silly to some, but for you it was the result of learning, practicing and perfecting a craft. I applaud you and the achievement in this video. I'm so happy the algorithm brought me to this video and I cant wait to see what other content you produce in the future. You have earned a subscriber and I wish you the best in your future endeavors. Cheers mate! Job well done!

      Thank you sincerely for this lovely comment. If I had my way, everyone who's ever played a Pokemon game would get served this video and catch a glimpse of how deep the games really can go. I poured my heart into this, and wrestled with doubts of it ever really getting enough attention to be worth the effort.
      So every person like you who truly appreciates that effort makes me feel like it was worth it, and maybe it does have a chance of being my first truly huge success.

    From a genetic engineering researcher who used to work with CRISPR and a gen 3 nostalgia lover, I can confidently say this was a phenomenal deep dive into a topic that mirrors gene splicing in a bizzaro world way - it’s not often that a video finds such a niche, indulgent spot to settle in my brain. Amazing work, this is the level of passion I wish everyone was able to have. Thanks for being so rad (and thanks to UA-cam for bringing me a fantastic recommendation for once in a blue moon).

    I got into RNG manip through blisy like half a year ago with his competitive pokémon video, it was a topic I'd kind of heard of in the past but never really took any interest in. However, you guys have put it forward in such a way that is just fascinating; I get absolutely absorbed with this kind of content. What I think makes it so special is the perfect blend of informative dissemination of the inner workings of a classic videogame series, with the curiosity from its fanbase to achieve certain ambitions and otherwise unthinkable milestones/feats. So basically, what I'm trying to say is that guys like you make me happy to exist, because learning stuff is cool. Thank you for making content, take care man.

    Between you and Blissy, I've gotten REALLY into the RNG side of Pokémon lately. I dug around at my stepdad's for hours looking for my copy of Emerald so I could practice manips and mess with glitzer popping and such. Your videos only get better and better every time, keep it up!! Part of what makes a good teacher is being able to take complex concepts like this and making it so that people not only take it in but also want more. Thanks for the new Pokémon-related hobby (it's a hell of a flex even though im no good at it yet).

    "This method is totally, 100% legit and superior to any other way to get Pokemon that are impossible to get through normal gameplay (hacking)! It is NOT hacking! All I need is my carts, 2 gameboys, a program where I tell it the Pokemon I want and it scrambles the game's code to tell me exactly how to get it, 100 glitches where I scramble everything about a dozen other Pokemon... I am a GENIUS GOD cause I can put ~legit~ shinies in my game :D"
    a Pokemon isn't rare if you can just generate it... just be honest, it's cool to get into the game's guts like this, but why the weird pretentiousness....?

    • @PapaJefeYT
      @PapaJefeYT  Рік тому +4

      If this is how you feel, then no Pokemon is rare... because they can all be easily generated. The whole point was finding a way to get it, without just doing the obvious super easy thing and cheating it in.
      Pokemon only have value
      arity in-so-far as the effort put into acquiring them, and if you think what I've done here somehow disqualifies me from feeling pride or accomplishment, that's on you.

    Yo Jefé, i just came back to your video because i want to thank you. I started watching your videos back when BDSP launched. You really got me into rng manipulation in pokemon. I heard of that before, but i didnt know anything about it and it was like hacking or witchcraft to me. Throughout your videos i learned a lot about the process behind it and was able to execute it for myself. Your explanations are just on point and i caught every legendary pokemon in its shiny variant. You, admiralfish, anubis and blissy made that possible. I really appecreciate your work and its sad that you can only like and subscribe once, because you and the guys i mentioned deserve a lot more recognition for what you do.

    Nice! Just one small correction at 5:33. Instead of using 1/1.4 billion, it would be
    logbase(1431655764/1431655765)(0.5) * 3 * (1/60) * (1/ 24) * (1/365)
    Which comes out to a nice quick 5664 years!
