Man i needed one of these yesterday... I cut a hole in the wall..slammed in a door and was putting up all the borders and trim and had to use nails and a BFH(all i had)...
Dan left before the video finished...how rude!...lol Great video guys, haven't owned any Senco and the two nailers I do own are cordless, Ryobi 18 gauge and Paslode 16...I have been looking for a pin nailer for trim work as I find even the 18 gauge can leave a big hole to fill....this would be perfect and it looks like a quality made tool and Senco are known for their nailers!
Who gets to re-paint the quarter round? ;) Nice review guys....it looks like the 21LXP is a nice nailer....where is it available? Online only or in-store also?
This pin nailer is nothing once you've used a cadex 21g headed and headless pins seriously hope they put them in a tool fight or review the Cadex CPB21.50 21 Gauge Pin Nailer once you got one nothing compares. Mind you it's for professionals not the home handyman.
I see one huge problem that you guys said that would deter me from buying that nailer big time. It's the nails. If I can't find the nails, I'm not going to buy it. Simple as that. That's like selling a tool, but not selling the batteries needed to run the tool. It's a nice nailer and all, but it's no use to me if I can't get nails.
Yeah, I agree. And for a pin nailer it looks like it is leaving a decent sized hole. My 23ga Porter Cable uses headless pins and you would be hard pressed to find a hole. I know it doesn't have the same holding power but when I use my pinner I use glue too. The nail is acting as a clamp for the glue to set up.
Love2boat92 - In full disclosure, I work with SENCO. The 21LXP was just recently released and started shipping to retailers in late May. Those outlets that stock the nailer will also stock a compliment of the fasteners.
Im so disappointed with this gun. My gun blew a seal after only like 2 weeks. The max psi is 110 and my compressor was around 97psi. My co worker had a nail jam so bad that senco had to take it back. His gun was only like 3 days old. For $230 i paid it's not worth the money. The tool store i usually go to buy my tools from told me that they don't carry any more senco products because it's all junk. They use to be a reputable company. Not anymore to me.
Looks like a quality nailer for sure. I like the swivel fitting on the bottom. All air tools should have that. 5 year warranty is good too.
Looks like the 21LXP is a nice nailer left barely any marks
Good tip on the 21gauge being harder to find at the big box stores. it might be worth choosing a 23 gauge for that reason alone.
Thanks

I've got a nail in my finger by the 23g because of it curling out. It's not too bad. I do like the new 21g.
thats a nice nailer it would probably replace a 23 gauge in most applications. I'm liking the new senco's they seem like a quality tool.
Can't beat that 5year warranty

Thanks Bear!
Looks a sight better than my 18g brad nailer. I've been using a small hammer and nail set and putty on finish work this looks better for sure.
Awesome pin nailer...that thing left barely any marks in the wood...
Pretty nice pin nailer. I like it.

Most Senco retailers will have them. Painting sucks lol
Nice nailer, I have to wonder why there's no safety on it. Anyway awesome video guys.
Thinking about getting one similar to that.
Nice nailer. Using close in view on camera because that's all the room u have in the shop, saw the photo on Facebook.lol
Great review guys these pin guns are great
Nice review guys!!
Thanks Mike Z

Brien Yeah theres some difference between them. Using glue is always a good idea.
Rob Foster They should stock the nails too. I would like to see other retailers stock them too.
A little scary that it doesn't have a safety feature that most of them have but not a big deal.
I really want this pinner, it's kinda pricey tho :( good review as always TIA
Im surprised it doesn't have a conventional safety tip. I wouldn't want to accidentally shoot that thing even if its only a 21 gauge.
Nice and compact
Nice.

If you can't find nails for this gun then you have no business owning one, this gun is not for you diyers
