IX / Nihility is the embodiment of the nothingness of death, which is opposite to Fuli / Rememberance because memories preserve even that that is gone. They're literally polar opposites. Black Swan felt like she was being hunted because she _was_ The Nihility devours everything into nothing therefore her precious memories (and thus herself) were at risk of disappearing into literal nothingness, a fate worse than death for someone of Rememberance.

I feel its actually a bit worse.
Dying is one thing, forgetting another, but I think that for Black Swan, who as a memokeeper is literally a sentient memory, Nihility cannot exist. They arent so much opposites because that implies they are still on the same plane rather than one literally completely rules out the other.
So when Black Swan tries to peer into Acheron, when the Rememberance tried to gain access to the Nihility, something happened that the universe did not intend to happen, ever, something that technically cannot, that mustnt happen, and thus, Black Swan got literally flayed, skinned and torn to shreds mentally.

The visual story telling is brilliant here. Black Swan wanted a dance to learn of Acheron's memories. But when BS started to poke too deep into them, she was overwhelmed to the point of mental torture by the horrors in Acheron's memories. At least, that is how I see it.
The imagery of the various animal predators is brilliant too. BS went from the hunter, to the hunted. The dance leader to the dance follower.
And to top it all off, Acheron already has a bad memory, so combine that with Duke Inferno likely being no challenge for her, and yeah she doesn't remember them.
A dance can be casual and simple. Or a dance can be deep and sensual. This trailer went with the later. It doesn't have to mean lesbian or anything. All we are seeing is great visual storytelling.
Idk if overwhelm is the word but Acheron true self literally turned the table and hunted BS back. The imagery in the background of their silhouette dance is a swan being wrapped around by a snake, eaten, and swallowed until we then see the image of the swan only in its bones. Even in the dance Black Swan turned into several swans to fly away but Acheron grabbed and choked them one by one until they manifested back into Black Swan. It's like Acheron's true mind is torturing Black Swan for tampering in

I feel like people are ignoring the fact numerous things can be true at once, Yes, Black Swan was interrogating her but she still went out of way to be flirty and meanwhile, Archeron chose to engage with her. Like, we have this incredible short film with amazing choreography, shot composition, music, lighting, visual metaphors, and narrative ambiguities to think about and analyze and interpret. But instead of talking about any of this amazing artistic stuff, most online discussions range from vacuous to toxic. Like 40% of the discussion is people squealing because they're gay, repeating a surface-level observation over and over instead of thinking any deeper; 15% is people arguing about that surface-level observation, pointlessly bickering about whether two women doing a very sexual dance together counts as gay (it does); and 40% is people making the exact same joke about Black Swan fucking around and finding out.

I noticed in one of the images that there is something that resembles the aeon of Nihility, IX. does that mean Acheron could be an emanator of IX.
I might be wrong because it has been years since i didn't dance, but i believe Black Swan and Acheron are doing a (balleroom?) tango. And tango has an interesting story/symbolism behind it!!!
Tango represents love and sensuality, but not a "romantic" type of love... More like electric and unpredictable, almost forceful and violent in a way (notice how in some frames their chest and head are very far apart despite the proximity of they bodies)... I would like to say more but people will call me a cringe nerd so i will stop here, but it is an interesting topic if you enjoy symbolism!! 🌸✨️

I watched this video! And.....in this video for the whole time, I don't even seem to be breathing!
It was so beautiful and incredible! I just experienced the whole range of emotions. At the same time, all these emotions, even negative ones, were pleasant to me.
That's for sure the Animators tried their best.
By the way, the moment when the screen changes to black and red. I had a feeling that there was a second personality living inside Acheron. Some kind of monster that destroys everyone who tries to look at it. Because I had a strong feeling that the Swan was on the verge of death. Well, it's not for nothing that we were shown a lot of miniatures in the background where a predator runs after prey. And as we know Hoyo. They don't just show anything in their videos.

It wasn't a trigger word that caused the switchup. BS went into Acheron's mind to answer the question "What did you do, beautiful Ranger?". She went too deep and was basically being torn apart by the chaos/power of Acheron's memories. She also nearly got swallowed up by Ix because she nearly got too close.
Its that and - I think - magnified with her because as a Memokeeper she is a memetic entity herself. Her entire being is powered by Fuli, that is, the Remembrance, and Nihility is the literal antithesis to this. There is no logical way (that is, inkeeping with the laws of the universe as we know it) in which these two can occupy the same spot. Forgetting will always and without fail be the end of remembering.

To see what's going on? I can see that there is no relationship to even speak of. Hoyo made a fan service and then immediately removed any possibility of them having a relationship. Even during the dance - it was all too superficial. In retrospect, as far as the animation is concerned, the real reason for its existence is some foreshadowing regarding Acheron and to lure people (through this yuri stuff mostly) to pull her banner.

Also, Acheron is an Emenator of either Nihility (most likely) or Finality. I believe she possesses the ability to kill a Heliobi. If not, we might encounter a quest where his children are trying to resurrect Duke Inferno.

IX is like a black hole just swallowing everything up basically, so even though duke inferno can’t be killed, if he’s been swallowed by the abyss then it would make sense why he wouldn’t be able to revive.
Small correction. Duke Inferno is an energy life form, not exactly a Heliobi. Heliobi need to feed off emotions and originate from the Xianzhou. Duke Inferno was created cause Nanook destroyed his planet. And also he has connections to the Phase Flame, which is a creation of a Genius Society member.
