Fun fact: If you rewatch the Bronya cinematic where shes gunning people down in the hallway, you can see the soldiers arent actually missing their shots. They are simply disintegrating on the small force field bubble Bronya has. If you watch it at half speed you can see them vaporize on it throughout the fight. Hoyo and their details c:

Not really for "someone" but for his own personal desires. You have to remember that by saving Kallen, he completely disregarded her wishes, And now with her lover (Sakura) and her best friend (Otto) both gone, she has very little reason to keep going on.
In all honesty, Otto's plan was incredibly shortsighted. Just because the Honkai didn't kill her didn't mean she wouldn't still be hanged for her crimes or that she wouldn't take her own life. Otto only changed that point because he was directly responsible for Kallen's death and he obsessed over this fact for five hundred years.

Where was it ever said that Sakura was alive there? Otto never even knew her and she was already gone by the time Otto changed history.
As previously stated, saving Kallen was for his own selfish desires whereas Kallen wanted to die.
@far4955 she is not, sakura died before Kallen was captured again. Her injuries from that whole incident is what got Kallen captured for the execution.

@@rounderthanpuffer the Star Rail Himeko is the Reincarnation of the one who died in HI3. Most HI3 characters have Reincarnations in Star Rail. In asian Culture and media Reincarnation is a thing, it can take Decades or Centuries for a soul to be reincarnated.

Kiana' story is one of hope she always wanted to become a beacon of hope. Throughout the story she comes to realize that she's losing everything because she always tried to do everything herself. While countless people try their best to save her instead. Everlasting flame is her realization that she can't do anything alone she has to rely on others as well.
One of the stories where power of friendship actually works
There's also heavy symbolism associated to her ending. She wanted to be the sun, but in the end she becomes the moon - not the source of light, but someone that reflects it to help people in their darkest moments; the moon features frequently throughout her story. She becomes the hope and guidance that she herself needed when she was a child, hence that final scene; but always by carrying the hope of humanity, collectively.
And how she mentioned how Sacrificing herself is her mission and duty when fighting Mei, she couldn't understand and let Mei go
Then when it came to Kiana vs Fu Hua, when she heard the same line from Fu Hua, where Fu Hua said it was her mission thus Sacrificing herself was necessary
She now stands at the same pov as Mei, understanding the hypocrisy of her own words, how she thinks she is doing it for the greater good but not thinking about her friends decision and thoughts.
There she matured once again.
And Himeko in the flames smiling to Kiana, like a mother figure who can finally let go knowing that her child is mature enough and she can let it go

It is a pleasant surprise, but I've grown to hate this trend of CCs spoiling themselves for clicks and views. Imagine instead of knowing what happens, you watched the befall or nightglow animations happen organically.
@@ML-yn9yueh personally I prefer they don’t know anything when they first see it, cuz most of the people ik tried playing the game and couldn’t get past it. Then they give up on it entirely. The early chapters of the game are really, and I mean REALLLY dated. A lot of them get turned off by it. It doesn’t help that the gameplay isn’t as good early on.

The Trailblazer's starting weapon being a bat is actually a reference to the Kaslana family, which Kiana is a part of. Somehow, pretty much all of them (except Kallen, that we know of) end up defaulting to a bat if they have nothing more powerful on hand. At least three Kaslana have been seen onscreen to use a bat as their default weapon (Kiana, her father Siegfried and their ancestor Kevin) on their weakest forms, and I believe Kiana was also given a bat as a starting weapon in Honkai Gakuen, so as a reference to that, Trailblazer starts with a bat as well.

Hi3 genuinly has some of the best story telling. Especially the later chapters like elysium realm and days of transcending finality
Tbh the story became good after chapter 12 and if u read the manga too, people don't appreciate siren as the first big bad villian enough because they don't get her full story unless they read the manga, siren could have been raised as kianas sister with cecelia and sieg 😢 it's sad the 2nd eruption ended with siren going crazy and getting sealed, cecelia sacrificing herself and seig taking away kiana (ours not the og by accident) and living in isolation
You probably already heard this, but there is a LOT of dark twist to the Otto/Kallen relationship. They never were lovers, only best friends. In fact, Kallen was Otto’s first friend who saw his value despite being a sickly youth. He had a deep seated unrequited love of her because her kind heart and unyielding spirit. She was the embodiment of what he wished he could be. When Kallen discovered her best friend experimenting on children to try and open an artifact of unknown power, she renounced him and took the artifact as she fled Europe for the far East. Eventually Kallen washed up in Japan, and was nursed back to health by a miko priestess named Yae Sakura. The grew close, and it is highly implied they were in love. The relic ended up corrupting Sakura, and Kallen was forced to kill the woman she loved. At that point Schicksal found her, her will broken and she did not resist capture. As if our dear Otto wasn’t satisfied with utterly destroying his childhood friend’s life, he then made a political deal to release the Honkai beasts into the city during her execution. The issue being that agreement would have ended with Kallen in hiding trapped in a loveless marriage to him. And he agreed, without consulting her and knowing she would choose death over a life where she could not be with her beloved. He treated her as a commodity. And obsession is not love. We do not trade the lives and futures of our loved ones. Anyway, I know I am likely in the minority, but Otto is a lying manipulator who did as he pleased not what was best. He is a classic narcissistic chauvinist who believed he knew so much better than his “beloved” he spent years “repenting” by cloning her, torturing those clones by making them fight each other just for a name, then cloning one of her descendants to forcefully turn into a Herrscher to kick off the events that happened. He literally either created or had a hand in every event of the game up to and including his own death.
I totally agree with you. His actions are immoral and downright disgusting throughout. But I do admit I love him as a villain. He might actually be one of my favourite villains in fiction, he's so well written.
FINALLY I couldn't STAND him when playing the game but everyone else seemed to love him. Glad to see I'm not the only one who recognizes that Kallen never loved him and he was a bastard for doing all of this in her name.

Ummm the hell are you talking about???? When Marriage was proposed, Otto was indeed up for it but he knew Kallen wouldn't had accept it due to what it would've meant, with the Kaslana family being under Apocalypse control. However, he still proposed the idea to her, which she rejected, choosing to die. In a last desperate attempt, he agreed to his sister's plan to released Honkai Beasts, planning to take Kallen away amidst the confusion. However, Kallen chose to protect the people and died protecting a child.

That is why IT WAS THE MOST SELFISH THING ANYONE CAN DO. The reason the game called Otto a clown cause that was how he portrayed himself. What's funny is that the person who hated what Otto Apocalypse has done is Otto himself. But like I've said, there's a lot of things that a Villain can achieve that a Hero cannot. After all, if Otto hadn't done all that he has for 500 years, their verse would've been doomed.
Also, let Himeko(HSR) interact with HI3 Himeko's broken sword, it will be a special dialogue(it may have pointing out at this part the part 56:33)

FINALLY, A HONKAI IMPACT CONTENT!!!
With Graduation Trip and Star Rails beginning Hoyo passed the torch to the next game in a symbolic way. The BGM you hear in that Short (Canon in D Major) is also what plays at Star Rails very beginning (with Kafkas imaginary Violin), and the Train in space motive, well thats self explanatory. To add to this Star Rail released only like 3 or 4 weeks after this short was released (let's just ignore the Trailblazer Kaslana (Kiana and Kevin to be specific) connection that existed from the beginning, but got with the start of Penacony hinted in the Story by Hoyo themselves (Archerons lines in the beginning and how they are different based on the TBs gender, "a friend i stood shoulder to shoulder with" for Stelle, whats fits Kiana to a T, and "i crossed swords with", which fits Kevin to a T being friends during the Elysian Realm and fighting him later))

Fun fact, you feel like Kiana is like Paimon because they are both related to the moon (e.g. costume design, appearance, hair color, etc.). In Genshin, Paimon is one of the three moon sisters, while in Honkai Impact 3, the name Kiana means moon goddess. But the real identity of Kiana in Honkai Impact 3 is a hersher(godlike beings who can bend physical laws). In Genshin, Kiana is the Sustainer of Heavenly Principle, aka the first boss who stopped and separated the Traveller siblings.

When playing the game, the animations will make so much more sense and you will have much more attachment to them.
Especially with the characters Mei, Bronya and Kiana. They go on quite the journey through PART 1 of the story.
And yes, you heard right. What concluded at the end there was just Part 1, and Part 2 is said to be coming out soon.
Fun little fact, the Welt in HSR is also the Welt in a bad alternate timeline of HI3 where he leaves to save the HSR version of Himeko after he couldn't save the HI3 one. He literally moved from one game into another, despite the two having no current connection otherwise.

story-wise, Elysian Realm is such an underappreciated achievement. Middle of the main story, the writers literally drew up 13 characters, of which 11 or 12 are BRAND NEW, NEVER BEFORE HEARD OF in the main story. Somehow, in the span of like 3 chapters and a NEW BONUS GAME MODE, they pulled 13 characters out of nowhere, and got the fandom so attached to them they're practically main cast level now. Hi3 writers are some otherwordly dimensional beings man
That was an early concept trailer of Honkai Starrail, the script had changed a lot between its release and the actual game release. So it's hard to infer anything from it. But yes, Starrail is very much tied to the original HI3rd
Only about 42 mins into the video but to clarify, Mei and Kiana are very close and are basically lovers, they'd do anything at all for the other. Kiana would sacrifice herself for the world, and she tries to do so partially to repent for damage she's caused (even if not intentionally), however Mei would sacrifice the world for Kiana. The two are fighting because Mei found a way to help Kiana avoid dying, and Kiana doesn't want Mei to put herself at risk for her sake. She'd rather die and help the world than be saved and risk hurting others.

in Star rail when you use Seele's Ultimate her eyes will turn into red, also in Honkai 3rd That Seele will change into another Seele when she use ultimate (Blue Seele to Red Seele) love this gimmick

I've been playing it for just 2 months, and I got more invested by playing the first 10 Chapters than I did in Genshin across all 3 years (and I joined at 2.4 BTW because of Shenhe).
The story is top-notch, the cast of characters all feel amazing and unique, the gameplay is fun and feels satisfying to use, the cutscenes are god tier animation masterpieces, the MC is beautifully well written and developed across the story, etc.
*This is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece I'm very glad I decided to finally try out.* 💙

very cool to see you enjoying these animations. honkai impact is one of my favourite games and the animations give me a lot of emotions. you're right in assuming they all happen at the end of large story arcs.
honkai impact goes into vaguely multiverse stuff so bronya, seele, sushang, otto/luocha, natasha, raiden and yae, are all alternate versions (this is well-established to be something that can happen). the welt in star rail actually IS welt from honkai impact though; he travels between universes at some point.
The story of the Thirteen Flame-Chasers was like 1 year and a half
that was probably the best reaction and understanding of the honkai animated short series that ive ever seen! you have earned a sub future captain! o7
this is great, and is absolutely amazing how u get emotional without getting context, now, playing the game, being here, for a while, some of these cinematics can make a grown man cry, I know I did at the end of because of you, every one of those images has an emotional baggage so fking big, its actually amazing how they tell entire stories with a single frame

In the scene when Kiana caught her, Mei tried to Minecraft herself. It's partly from the second Honkai game which this game continues some of the storyline of.
That's why Graduation Trip was the most memorable thing for us we've been with the crew since it's infancy to it's bittersweet ending. 😢
I think he somehow understand now why us HI3rd players are having PTSD when we see Himeko on screen and now I'm worried because she will be joining the trailblazer for the next planet they will visiting.
I might be wrong (god, I hope I'm not), but I get the feeling HSR Himeko was given the life HI3 Himeko always dreamed of, as a compensation to the fans and to Himeko herself. HI3 Himeko had a hard life, it was just not the ending that was tragic; and throughout she always dreamed of the stars, but her dream was unattainable considering all that happened, so she shored up the next generation instead. HSR Himeko, on the other hand, has accomplished all these dreams, is famous and well respected, and in a way it feels her character arc is over before the story even began. Unless dynamics in the Astral Express change a lot (the danger here would be March's upcoming storyline introducing new elements), she doesn't seem to be at risk.

22:57 ok, a lil backstory of seele (zee-lah) and bronya, bronya is an assassin from russia and Seele was stuck in the sea of quanta before bronya saved her, they both grew up in an orphanage that secretly test honkai resistant children and do experiments on them, bronya was going to be sent into the sea of quanta but seele stopped them and volunteered to be the one sent in, she got stuck, bronya tried saving her but the scientists took her out but since bronya resisted so much she injured her spinal cord and lost some of her emotions and the ability to walk so she was given robot legs. In the sea of quanta Seele met Seele/ dark Seele/ Violina/ the herrsher of death of the past era.
Also I believe she was called silver wolf when she was still an assassin

Kiana is probably one of my favorite characters, the amount of character growth from a silly shounen tuna to a full fledged character, standing on her own, with all those who love her at her side.
You should give HI3rd a chance for the story alone. It’s one hell of a ride.

The video that you see Welt and Carole ride the Astral Express is actually the first concept of Honkai Star Rail and the girl that give flower to Carole that i heard from someone else is actually March 7th or Eileen but I don't 100 believe this thing (the girl that give a flower).

I think Bronya and Seele are 17 in early trailers. Bronya is quite short because she didn't had her second growth spurt yet - in Honkai3 her second grows spurt is canonically (as far as APHO is canon) after 19 which rare thing but do happen.
For the mayority the changes aren't noticiable, but people keep growing until 25, not 18
@@samuelchau9745 Yes, but often enough majority of teenage growth comes from one or two growth spurts when in half an year teenager gains as much if not more than in the next (or previous) two or sometimes even five years. So when for majority growth between 18 and 25 is like 1cm, for Bronya it's much more prominent as she had explosive growth moment.
@@al103Bronya went through several Honkai related experiments and transformations that severely messed up her body and mind. For a good part of the story, she is very damaged. But when she becomes a Herrcher, she gains the ability to reshape herself - an ability that Welt also had as the previous HoR, - including regaining her legs. Her final growth spurt comes after that, so it's not very much out there. I know a lot of people complained it was an excuse to make her more busty, but it's properly justified by the story so I don't really care.
@@Anknara LOL. I would be last person to complain even without Herrscher justification. When I finished school one my classmate was head shorter than me, when I met her 2 years later she was nearly head higher. So late growth spurts certainly happen.

The story of the flamechasers is another rabbit hole in of itself. Like, they do have a story chapter in the main story, but that only tackles the "end" of their story. Most of their story can be found in another game mode called "Elysian Realm". I'm not going to go on the specifics about this game mode, but you can just think of them as the simulated universe of honkai impact. Their story is there and if you ever play the game, I recommend you check it out. The story, as we can expect from hoyo, is really, really good.

HI3rd, though it does start slow becomes Mihoyo's best story and world to date, that's as someone who has played all their games (except GGZ and flyme2themoon) and am up to date with them. The game definitely has a barrier earlier in the game of being pretty slow and dated, but once the story picks up you are in for one of the best stories in gaming with some incredible characters and story arcs
Fun fact: That mecha in the first one? Welt Yang designed that. He also made a successful anime and movie series about it. In Star Rail when he talks about knowing a lot about mecha or his animation days, he means that.
"Honkai" is a concept as much as it is a force of nature. In Mandarin it translates literally as collapse or breakage. A "Honkai" can be anything that causes the death of a civilization. In HI3 it's actually called the Honkai. In Genshin, it might be The Abyss. In Star Rail, it might be whatever is creating Stellarons. In Eva, it's the Angels. Etc etc...
I will say if you have a friend like Otto and he says "He would burn the whole world to get you back." He will 100% do exactly that.

If you want to know more details regarding the honkai impact world history and certain characters , I would suggest watching honkai chronicles but if you mind spoilers then just watch honkai chronicle 1 : introduction of honkai verse and watch the others later after you reach certain parts of the game .
1. Chronicle for thunder reborn is Raiden Mei's event from before the game till the event of lament of the fallen .
2. Chronicle of Fu Hua is Fu Hua's story from event before game till event of shattered samsara .
3. Chronicle of Kiana Kaslana is Kiana story from her beginning before the game till the event of ever lasting flame .
4. Chronicle of Otto is from his story before the game till thus spoke apocalypse .
Also , Walt in Honkai Star Rail is actualy came from Honkai Impact so he is the same person in both game .

a very fun of a fact: Himeko was burning inside out and she was feeling it all, but the reason why she kept on moving was to free kiana from sirin(aka the "heavenly principal"look alike) 13:22
Yep. For those who haven't played, the suit Himeko was wearing - which she only uses for that battle, - slowly kills her through Honkai corrosion, in exchange for more power. The more she presses on, the more the suit takes. She knew from the onset that there was little chance of surviving that battle. She was dying anyway, from a previous battle to try to save Kiana; the serum she used to surpress Sirin, the Herrscher of the Void, was for Himeko to use on herself, to revert the damage she took.

I strongly recommend that you react to the three official Honkai Impact 3rd concerts "Starfire Sonorant", "Dreamy Euphony" and "Forest Capriccio".
Haven't seen much in the way of explaining here, so I'll give it a try (gonna try to go light on spoilerific details) ...
The main foe of Honkai Impact 3rd is the titular Honkai energy, which can create Honkai Beasts (the white-shelled creatures you thought were mechs), raise corpses as "Zombies", and hijack actual mechs (but mechs are just as often used for enemy-faction fights). However, the biggest trick of the Honkai is when enough energy gathers together, it can turn a human into the host for a Herrscher, which are Usually god-like civilization destroyers (give or take power levels and a few other factors) that can harness certain powers both elemental and conceptual ... for example there's a Herrscher of Thunder, Ice, and Wind ... or Reason (the ability to create anything), Sentience (the Herrscher in Shattered Samsara ... whom has control over the mind and illusions), or Corruption (the foe Elysia fought, which can just outright force its will on others and machines).
The main plot of the game starts when Kiana is awakened as the Herrscher of the Void, otherwise called Sirin, and Sirin wrecks absolute havoc before being subdued by Himeko. Kiana, her mind somewhat restored, tries to carry on Himeko's will, all the while dealing with a few plots from certain organizations and other emerging Herrschers.
Much of the animations were understood, but one thing I'd like to say for Kiana vs Mei is that Kiana would sacrifice herself for the world, but Mei would do the opposite ... "If saving you is a sin, I'd gladly become a sinner." And yeah, Fu Hua ends up possessed by Sentience, requiring Kiana to beat up that Herrscher ... I don't want to say too much, but Senti does become a recurring character in her own right.
Also, while Kiana is dealing with the Herrscher of Domination (the puppet-legion in Everlasting Flames) and Otto's scemes ... Mei is studying the Previous Era is the digital cityscape in the Elysian Realm, where she meets the 13 Flamechasers, including Elysia and Kevin. Unfortunately this is where the Herrscher of Corruption comes in and starts taking control of everything, requiring the 13 to team up to destroy the digital world while Mei carries on their stories to the real world.
I do kinda wish Transcendence was shown here, as it shows the rest of Kiana's journey into her "Final Form" at the start of Graduation Trip.
Oh, Reburn 2 is in a wierd spot canonically, as is shows the (I forget the actual name of the 2nd Divine Key) in place of the Astral Express, which has its own different backstory, and Carole is nowhere to be found in Star Rail. The mystery girl that kinda looks like March, I hear her name is Eileen, or something, but we know absolutely nothing about her otherwise.
The final lesson really doesn't stop making me cry everytime i hear the music
I always love seeing a new perspective! like many others said the version trailers are great to see some of the game in action. However if you want to know more about the star rail connection I'd highly recommend a video named Everything You Need to Know About WELT YANG Before Playing Honkai Star Rail from Homu Labs to see him in his prime! (He's a badass).
He's cool right now, and if you're talking about strength, then honestly, he's not that strong for hi3, and for hsr, even his prime would be too small to give a fight at least to the path eminator. But it was definitely epic!

At the peak of his powers when he was a herrscher, he could create an army from the engines of creation that was in the battle with Kokolia, it is enough for him to know the structure of the object to create it from the energy of honkai
