- Daniel is a prime example of a shop leader. Happy to share knowledge and tools, and guides the green horns through their tool buying. The shop he’s at must know how much of an asset he is to their team. The tour Daniel took us through was awesome, and I’m so thankful. If you enjoyed it, give this video a Like!

I'm the guy in the video, if any of y'all see anything that didn't get talked about in the video, drop a reply and I'll get back to you as soon as I get around to it :p
On the left side of the box, you have three plastic trays, yellow green and orange. Who makes them? Guessing you use them to hold parts when you are tearing apart something. Nice tool box you have
@jjgag601 Thanks man! They're magnetic parts trays/organizers, I actually have a black one as well. Snap-on makes them, I can get the exact part numbers for you if you want them. I can generally organize like a head/engine/transmission job size amount of stuff into each one, might take 2 for like a cab off diesel head job, so it's pretty rare that I need all 4 at the same time, but it does happen occasionally. I actually have several harbor freight triple and single magnet trays stuck to the side under the table that I also use for smaller stuff. I just like to keep things organized enough so I could potentially tear something apart, have it sit a few months, and then not have to think too hard about what suff is for what going back together.
I have the same exact 100 year anniversary box awesome!
Hello
I cannot find the low profile pitman arm puller at 21:56 anywhere.
Thank you
I absolutely love the enthusiasm the cameraman has. Seen the same tool in every box but acts excited everytime lol
Haha 😅
on god
It's so funny how every tech thinks the air hammer they own is the best hardest hitting one on the market 😂
😅
Definitely not mine, it kinda sucks but it was cheap
I don’t think there has been one video on this channel that hasn’t made me buy something. Every week I screen shot like 5 things. I thank you. My wallet doesn’t. Thanks for another great video.
You should see my shopping list 🫢😅. Hope to get you on this channel soon! Thanks Ryan!
@@ToolBoxTourcan we arrange a Texas tour weekend in the future? I’d be willing to help with the logistics if needed.
@@bowtiedooleyhopefully in the near future I’ll be able to swing down that way!
@@ToolBoxTour add me to your list, I am about an hour and a half north of Houston. Me and our lead engine guy would like to give you tours
What did I end up accidentally selling you on?
I feel your pain bro. As an introvert it’s hard to make friends. I do so many favors and make custom test harnesses for common issues on the stuff we work on.
just surround yourself around extroverts and they’ll adopt you lol 🤣🤣
@@jonathannavarro4540That's funny😄😄.
That's actually really cool
I’m the introvert that gets called “one way” 😂 because I’m always coming back to the shop with delicious food and I guess I was supposed to ask everyone if they wanted me to pickup their lunch too.
@@DillonDaVillain222 It takes a little research and guessing to find the connectors online. Sometimes it’s easier to just hack apart cars at a junk yard and get a bucket of spare connectors. My favorite test harnesses are for stuff that’s hidden so you can check resistance and how much voltage/amperage is going through the live circuit. They sell pinout boxes or you can 3D print your own. When you’re that good at wiring might as well have your own mobile shop and only specialize in electrical work. Shops will gladly outsource that for a car that’s causing headaches.
I was just sitting with a beer and another 2 or 3 in the fridge. Yes another video from toolbox tour.
Greetings from Holland.
Enjoy!
Freaking love these videos, watch them while on lunch during the nightshift. They make my work week so damn enjoyable. Something to look forward to all the time.
I’m glad I can make your lunch 🥪 a little more enjoyable!
How he said it is so true whatever tool I could cut out of borrowing from to coworker is what ur gonna buy next and if u borrow it more than 2 times u really need to buy your own
I agree! It’s a great rule to follow
24:00 “bought em from Mac whenever he decides to show up” So True
Common theme with the Mac guy
Our Cornwell guy is like this, I’d buy more Cornwell stuff if he actually came around more
Hahaha I've seen the Mac dealer 3 times in the 20yrs at my shop
Love the meeting of the brains in the back ground yup thats the problem haha
😅
This was a fun tour today. Loved it, and this guy is also funny and witty. A good combination of traits.
It was a fun tour! Glad you enjoyed it
Aw shucks
IR is the way to go for air impacts😎
I agree 100%!
Nice setup! One thing I’m thankful for after watching these videos is my employer provides all the torque wrenches as well as any measuring tools and some speciality tools. It’s a liability thing all those tools have to pass annual inspection. I own a few older click style ones but you could spend a lot of money on new digital torque wrenches.
Yeah they’re expensive for sure.
My coworker has that box and he keeps it clean. It’s so nice to see every day.
I love the graphics on it. Not over the top, but definitely stands out
Great tour! Plus, Daniel seems like he'd be a lot of fun to work with 👍
I think so too!
I love those style socket rails that he has. I have a few from harbor freight and a few from SK. Which are the same thing but with a metallic green.
Yeah the magnets are crazy strong 🧲
Great set of tools. Definitely buys the tools he needs or will need to get the job done when the time comes.
You got that right Keith!
If I learned anything from the Boy Scouts, it was to Be Prepared
Our master tech has the 100th anniversary hutch, box, both side cabines and the 6 draw roll cart.
Nice!
love see the professional's tool boxes and the tips they offer, Thanks for the video
Of course. Thanks Greg!
Another great tool box tour, good job
Thank you!!
having different color tools helps, especially for the mobile guys that work under the car, you can just grab what you need really quick without your tools being camouflaged with the rest of the tools
I enjoy the variety every week . It’s also nice to show my daughter all the different set ups.
That’s really cool to hear you share these with your daughter! I don’t know how old your daughter is, but I’m eager to start my 5yr old on his tool collection.
What’s goin on with the 3 people in the background just staring at a engine bay “ya it’s blown up “ 😂😭
Figuring it out!
😅
Ahh yes, good to see the professionals have those tools that they bought after they needed it for “next time”.
Exactly!
Cool videos. You could always check out some machinist/ tool and die tool boxes. That is a whole different world of tools
I’ll add it to the list!
Enjoyed that. Nice guy.
Thanks Paul!
This channel is insane. I'm like a casual car guy and rarely work on anything anymore these days, but tools are just one of those things that are so exciting. Guys are excited to talk about their tools, what they like and use the most... and all of us viewers are excited to buy them, at least until the bill comes. It's just fun to see everyone's different techniques for organization as well as where they keep the "daily drivers"
Yeah! People love talking about their tools. It’s kind of a shame when they spend thousands on their tools and they don’t have any way of talking about them or show casing their tools to anyone - just sit in their toolbox. I love this channel since I’m able to talk to them about stuff they don’t really talk to anyone else about.
Great video my Friend. Thank you for your time & video. Very much interesting & appreciated!
✌🕶🔧
Many thanks Alfred!!
“ what ever you are borrowing from me is the answer “ - truth lol
Someone I know has got a 100th anniversary box exactly the same as that one infact but without the power drawer. Very cool.
Love it!
So many of these videos throw shade at Mac for reps never coming around. Same story where I’m at. Flaky salesmen must be part of Macs business model.
Yeah I really don’t get it. There has only been a handful of shops that I have visited where there has been a reliable MAC guy and their box is chuck FULL of Mac tools, so I know they get good business. A lot of their RBRT products are so nice. No idea why it’s so common for them to be so flaky.
The normal guy in my area is named Bob, he's a complete clown shoe and everything on his truck is 10 years old and overpriced, I've never bought anything from him. We had a guy named Joe swing by a few times that was cool and had all the good stuff, but I guess for political reasons he can't come anymore even though Bob *might* swing by twice a year. Almost makes me want to quit and steal his job.
I think Daniel it's only one Tech guy on this channel who had a CANDY drawer! :D
Haha everyone loves candy!
Well I have seen some snack drawers on this channel
That Klein dmm should have no problem measuring 1.2 kOhm
Great episode, it's cool to see different tools.
Is someone able to tell me what the yellow, green and orange trays are on the side of his hutch at 8:13
Snap-on part # KADM21X71OR. $63.50
Im wondering how to reach out to see if you’d be interested in covering my toolbox. I think I have a pretty interesting setup compared to a lot of what I’ve seen on the channel so far
You can message me on instagram @ toolboxtours or email me at toolboxtour@gmail.com 👍
That bottom box ( kmp1023) looks my KRL 1023, but the right side drawers are larger. Nice combo with the hutch.
4:45 I have that Mighty Vac fluid extractor/ filler - love it !
9:38 now he needs to go to a Loves Truck stop to get the matching armor head gear lol
Yeah it’s super similar to the KRL series
I have two ir quiet air impacts 3/8 and 1/2 and they are awesome and strong
And easy on the ears
Yeah the quiet ones are deceiving. They sound weak but are incredibly strong
20:50.. the Matco air hammer is best... per TTC
I’ve heard that from several techs that have had the snap on and Matco as well
In the real world the Snap on hits harder... per life experience
Yeah, I got the FLLF80. Its my go to when stuff doesn't budge and I don't want to reach for a medium breaker bar. Gets you out of a lot, quickly.
Cos I know I can see the snapon guy on Friday, I don't worry about breaking it
Did you tell him his sockets are upside down on the Hanson trays? When the sockets are seated the other way the sizes can be read and they sit more snug.
Ah good catch!
The Snap-On 3050 is absolutely the best air hammer available! Mine has been putting in work for over 15yrs
the sword would be from cornwell, they always sell random stuff like that
one of the guys i used to work with bought a bull whip off of the cornwell truck and accidentally cracked himself in the back while playing with it in the parking lot
😂
Buhahah
Nailed it. It was totally Cornwell
You seemed to be in a hurry? Where you rushing him? Or, was that your editing.
We finished at about 1.5hrs worth of filming for the tour. At the hour mark, I let him know where we were and hustled a bit at the end. My editing does cut out a lot of small talk so the video isn’t an hr long.
....I spent like an hour on my cart and maybe 3 drawers. Maybe get enough likes on this comment or something and he'd drop an unedited version ;p worth a shot
I only buy chrome handle ratchets because fun fact the comfort grip isnt warrantied or atleast it didnt use to be.
Everyone knows that every Blue Collar is running Perc meta.
What he said those hammers are sexy lol I instantly started laughing 😂
Making my list now lmaooo
Haha my list is HUGE
Man, seeing the price of all that made me dizzy.
👍👍👍
Thank you
You're welcome Jack!
The cameraman is the Mark Weins of tools
I’m a metal grip only guy…
Definitely easiest grip to clean
@@ToolBoxTour a man’s grip
Link about 4% defect rate?
When I worked in a shop, the next tool I bought was always the one I had to borrow twice. Once may be a fluke but once you need it twice, you probably need your own.
Good rule to follow there!
Go faster to where? To the doom.
Hahaha
Please just let the guus who are are filming talk. You commenting over them just ruins your videos. I want to see tbier set up, not listen to you.
Wow this is the first time I’ve had a comment like this. Can you give me a time stamp of when I talked over him? I’m genuinely curious so I don’t do it again.
You ever get to Michigan you can come see my setup. It now lives at home. Some of these videos give me ideas of stuff to add to my collection.
Very cool. I may be in that area in the future. I’d love to see what your setup looks like. You can send me a message on instagram @toolboxtours or send me an email toolboxtour@gmail.com
Im halfway thru the video and adding the cost has made my brain go broke.
Lots of tools there. And I only show prices for about 20% of the tools he has.
Gak ada yg merk TEKIRO ?
👍😎👍
✌️😃
Nice tools!
You should try and find a machinist to do a tool box tour with.
I’ll add it to the list!
This was one of my favorites. I felt when he said "yeah they got me" when you asked if something was snap on when it was becoming obvious 90% of his stuff is snap on lol
Haha yeah I’m not used to seeing so many snap on power tools
I tell you whot though, as good as Snap On is, I've figured out a lot of it is made by like Lisle or OTC and you can get it off the interwebs for a lot less. Some things I'd still say get off the truck, but a lot of other things.... probably could have saved a few bucks and got the exact same thing
You need to do these in the UK!!!
Hopefully some day!
@@ToolBoxTour 🤞
Enjoyed the video like always.
Glad to hear it!
I bet I've got at least 1 older Snap-On tool than anyone watching this video. I have a socket from the old drive size system(drive sizes ellude me, but were in the 32nds of of an inch) with a date code of 1929. Not in the greatest of shape, and as I have no drive tools that fit it, it's used as a paperweight.
As far as ratchets go, even though there is only an occassionally around Matco guy, my favorite ratchet is a 3/8" locking flex head Matcho ratchet(steel handle) that I found in the trash with the flex head rusted up. Once I got it free'd up, although the locking teeth are very pitted, it works absolutely perfectly. IF I need something shorter, I have a "fine tooth" (for it's time, 72 tooth)rubber coated finger grip Ampro ratchet I picked up in the clearance bin of an Autozone 20yrs ago, and prior to finding the MAtco ratchet, it was my go to for nearly everything. I've similar to the toolbox owner, found the modern rubber handle rachets soak up oil and can't be kept clean. The Ampro ratchet handle is like plastidip, and is impervious to oils.
His grandkids will be paying that box off.
Every video..real original
Good job !!!!! Great videos :)
I appreciate it Michael!
