Hi Jen, you do an excellent job at explaining. In fact, I’m glad I watched because even though I have made some yo-yos, I like your point about having them lie flatter. So I will stop turning the hem. FYI. I have recommended your channel be shared on Robin Dudley Howes channel as she is wanting to help other channels grow. My favorite thing to use in my junk journals is... I don’t know if I have one favorite... lol. Uhhmmmm. Quotes! I enjoy using quotes that go with the theme of the journal. 💖
Thank you so much! It's amazing how much flatter the yo-yos lay when the hem isn't turned over. I find with my journals that they get bulky enough that I'm always looking for ways to make them more flat:) Thank you so much for thinking of my channel to recommend it it is much appreciated! I always find that my favorite thing to decorate my journal is whatever I am using at the time, so right now it's yo-yos. However, I love the idea of using quotes and you got me at themes:)
Thanks Jen, I can’t wait to get them. I make yo-yos as well but make mine bigger and have made a cover for my table and a toilet lid cover. I did not know about the quilters knot and the needle opening. So thank you sharing your knowledge. I love the way you organize your needles as I am constantly looking for the right needle. Also, I will be trying your method of the smaller yo-yos. I have always turned the edges over so they don’t lay as flat. Can’t wait to see how you use them.
Now I'm nervous:) I hope the ones I send you are up to par with the ones you make:) Wow, did those projects take some time to make? Amazing! I'm so glad you enjoyed the content of the video and will be posting another one tomorrow, Thursday May 27, 2021 to show you how I use them. Thanks for commenting.
Thank you for the tutorial. I'm still learning and this was really helpful. I use buttons, because that is something I can get at a decent price. And my kids old clothes😄. Don't worry about the draw, I'm international. (South Africa).

Thanks for this tutorial. I’ve made yo-yos before but I got a couple good tips from you! 💙
Your welcome! So glad to hear there was useful information for a seasoned crafter. Enjoy making more yo-yos!

So glad this was helpful! I also love using buttons and am always tempted to buy more at thrift stores when I see them:)
