I agree with pretty much everything you say here but so far as I'm playing the game, I'm very frustrated with it, the putting for me is absolutely horrible! It misses for no reason and it's hard to tell if where you are putting is a hill or not. You also can't see where you hit the ball in speed golf, it's a gamble.
It takes a lot of time to get used to it. Had the same problem with the 3ds game. Imo they made the story mode a bit too hard.
I hate putting SO much that I have become a freaking wizard with chip-in shots. If I'm less than a foot from the hole I'm grabbing a wedge lol.
Yeah, the toad gang wars ended in the yellow massacre, the blue gang won and erased the yellow gang from existance. Only one yellow toad survived and told the story of once great yellow gang, and how to escape from the clutches of the powerful blue gang.
I'm gonna wait until this game is ACTUALLY realized and then see if it's worth buying or not.
Honestly, what reason is there to pick this game up when it’s $60? I’d much rather pay the same price for a lazy port of Skyward Sword than pay for this game in its current state

I beat adventure mode in about 4 hours. No ring attack, no minigames, no character unlocks, laggy netplay, I'm incredibly disappointed.

No joke. I just refreshed my memory with all the different Eagle, Birdie, etc. Animations of all the characters from Toadstool Tour and World Tour and... They beat the LIVING PANTS off of Super Rush's victory animations. It's not even close. A shame because the intro cutscene is AMAZING!
That Diddy Kong one you mention was great but I wanna mention Rosalina's. Like I NEVER saw hers before (I didn't own the game) and I was like "HOLY CRAP THAT'S SO COOOOL!"

You forgot the “you can’t edit your Mii’s face once you start the golf adventure mode. You have to delete your save file if you want to edit.
