Excellent job...You did everything I would strongly recommend to anyone installing aftermarket equipment. Remember your ground wire should be the gauge or larger to the power wire.
Thank you!
I have a control module for aftermarket tail lights that needs to be connected to ground wire, is this the same concept?
Yes, any aftermarket electronic device will use the concepts in the video.
@@AnthonyJ350 what did you do to shave off the paint for bare metal contact?
@@cheex9861 I use a circular brush used for rivets. It's in my Amazon store.
@@AnthonyJ350 thank you!
@@cheex9861 You're welcome 😊
Where can I buy that bolt and the washer
Which part in the video?
@@AnthonyJ350 you know how to disable the anc in Lexus 2020 is300 I’m getting a humming noise when the car is started
I can’t find the module do I disconnect the mic. Is there a wire I could cut?
@@krodyssey4770 You can try unplugging the mics. Just don't unplug the Bluetooth mic.
@@AnthonyJ350 should I tap into a diffrent speakers becuase I tap them into the front door speakers. Should I do rear door? Becuase I think the anc works on front door and stock subwoofer. Idk tho if I’m correct
I found out that there isn't a good ground point for my dash cam in my 2011 Jetta. There are some screws near the cabin fuse box but unfortunately they're ALL "floating" screws attached to plastic parts. Does anybody have any ideas on what to do? I've looked EVERYWHERE near the fuse box and there's NOTHING reasonably close by.
Can't run a longer wire to the kick panel area. There's usually a factory ground bolt in there.
Can you ground the black wire without the little metal circle piece Like could i just pull alittle bit of the metal out of the wire and electrical tape it onto a metal bolt?
No, put the ring on the wire and crimp for maximum reliability.
Did it work and the radio unit turn on normally after using the vehicle metal chassis for the ground?
Should only turn on with ignition.
Can I just run the ground wire to the negative battery?
You can do that too.
What kind of bolt was that brass one you used for the ground? also what kind of drill bit did you use to clean the ground spot? thanks.
Check out Pozitiveground.com
Where do you find the part you use at 4min Mark? I can’t find it in other videos
The cleaning bit? Look up rivet cleaning brush or bit on Amazon. I have them in my Amazon store.
Great video. Thanks! I had a question about the reverse, if my display only has a single pin for reverse input then how do I use the reverse lights?
