I had a Lews handle break. I took a power handle off of Abu Garcia 6500. It fit but needed a slight tweek to avoid bumping on the Lews. Works like a charm. (PS: Lews repair does not have handled in stock they are on back order for 2-years. )
We have tried several different styles of weights on Pickwick lake, and have found almost NONE prevent lots of snags on this rocky bottom if doing much more than vertical drifting. The only ones to keep halfway going is the flexible pencil weights...
Just got home from fishing a small lake for catfish.... It was my first time out this year.... While I was fishing for perch to use. one of my three rods got a bite.... My fishing buddy that day goes over and grabs my rod. He thought he was doing the right thing by just picking up my rod real quick and giving it a yank..... The fish did make it to shore until it let go of the bait.... I was using a circle hook and If I had been there I would of given the fish a chance to grab the bait. (chicken, cool aid, which I won't make again because it is just too messy) Oh well even though it was only bite we got,, it was still a good time just being there. Watched you put your fishing rig on your boat this AM. So I did some rerigging on my rods..... Remember I haven't fished for catfish in over fifty years and you and Catfish Dave, Higgins and others have made my retirement years more enjoyable.. I'm 75 years young and having as many good times as I can..
Just recently found channel, great info thanks. I wanted to ask you how you decide when to troll and when to anchor and fish. Also do you ever use Carolina rig with bait on bottom or even when stopped do you put a float on to get a little off bottom. I am on a big river with soft silty bottom
I fish channels up here in manitoba canada 🇨🇦. We run a slip weights and finikie fish will drop it with heavy weight s. I would definitely try these weights up here on the red river
Got into those small fish myself. Bank fishing. Everything small. Had 3 ounce, didnt even know they were there. Seen the line jumping a little. Caught 3 like that, one bigger channel.
Hey what time of year do you vacation in Florida. I live in the same town as JC from Rad Reeling and we are casual friends. If you are interested i can take you Bay fishing in my 17 foot boat on your next vacation.
It take over 1 oz weight to sink a 2.5" cigar float, with nice chunk of bait need 2 oz minimum in current. Not sure how 2 or 3 oz is to heavy, replace that little fish catching chicken and pop on some fresh cutbait of size. Lol
Wao all those views in just some hours...good work. I would like to send you a free fish bait of my company for you to try it. Send communication and i'l send it to you. Thank you bro.

Out at the river today bank fishing under the bridge untill the rain stops. Got some Walmart magic bait on.
Man I thought you were about to tell me I was too fat to fish. I almost put down my bowl of ice cream. 😳
Ice cream at 9am!?!? Lol
@@jondoe8914 hey don’t judge me. 🤣🤣🤣
Theory, maybe you have been using to light of weight and not keeping contact with the bottom when drifting. I never use less than 2 oz and usually 3
Very informative video, good presentation. Would tell me the name of the black and blue reels you used and how you like them.
Thanks for the great video! I'm looking for a good drift/trolling sinker to start trying on SML, so this helps.
This is a very inspiring youtuber and makes me want to keep fishing I wish you more success Very cool

So, you still use b-kat products?? Hmmmmm
Absolutely. Their boards work great for my style of fishing.
