I play Irish rock. Started with a 57. Tough with drums in the background. Moved on to a microvox accordion mic that velcros to the grill(outside). 1/4” plug in. Step up from 57 but still touchy with feedback. Fantastic for more acoustic setting. Moved on to a Harmonik accordion mic. Came from Germany, had it installed by a local music store on the inside of the grill and 1/4” Jack. Awesome mic. Still some trouble with feedback once in a while but that was more inexperience with the sound engineer. Still using this mic on my backup accordion. Currently using a Mengascini button accordion and had Mengascini themselves install and pickup inside the accordion with a 1/4” Jack. Amazing sound.
This would've been useful Sunday. Surprising I guess I've seen a lot of accordions in my life (Half Polish) had an Argentinian band. They wanted double Mike's either side. Kind of just threw some thing up there with two vocal mikes was wondering what the normal would be. Sounded great. I've mostly ever seen those things acoustic.

Ella tiene 21 años, canta bien, compone ya sus canciones, y casi está lista para formar un grupo. A pesar de tener Autismo, todo indica que va ser un éxito en el mundo de la música. Mi pregunta es - como le podría conectar micrófonos a las dos acordeónes? Tengo en menta los micrófonos DPA 4099. Tendría que hacer hoyos/holes en las acordeónes de este tipo? O podría usar unos tornillos/screws que ya están establecidos en las acordeónes? Gracias por su tiempo!
Dominicans install a sm58 inside the accordion between the reedblocks. It picks up both the treble and bass reeds. It becomes less effective the larger the accordion is, though…
