I just pulled the capsule out of a Shure mic I've had for 30 years that I don't use because it had a fixed cable. It looks like a SM57 but must be a cheaper model. Installed like the video except I did all the soldering on the bench before installing. Works great. Cost me nothing. THANK YOU!
New SUBSCRIBER and watched 9 of your videos. I've played for 30+ years but not in the past 18 so you are a good refresher. You showed a lot of what I already knew from 10yrs old but I like your technique. You are inspiring to all. Are you still on UA-cam with new musical items? I love what you've done and THANK YOU! Thanks for looking at this video. I have had a lot of requests for where to obtain these microphone heads. Well, they come up on ebay all the time. I chose the head by doing a bit of research on the lowest and highest frequency notes ( only 2 the lowest note and the highest) and bought the head which covered both ends easily. Its also very important to get the jack socket which is airtight or you'll suffer an air loss when you don't have the jack in. You could put a dummy jack in when your not using your amp .Also don't buy a condenser mic , they're a different breed and don't like accordion internals. fine externally but not inside. Pugsy.
