18:40 i SOOO agree with this take. i just read mona awad’s bunny and rouge back to back and found her lack of ANY explanation pretty refreshing and weirdly addictive
3:27 assassins apprentice is now one of my all time favorite books, it’s definitely slow but it really builds up the basis for the entire realm of the elderlings and is heavily character focused. 14:29 I also loved the legendborn books omg, I reread the first book as soon as I got the sequel and finished them back to back in 4 days😭😭
Yes to you reading legendborn !! SO excited to hear what you think of this book, one of my favourite fantasy books! And Chlorine is also one of my highly anticipated reads, it sounds right up my alley! I'm currently kicking off autumn season by FINALLY reading Babel and oh my god, already a new favourite book and I'm only 100 pages in!
So happy to see you! I really hope you enjoy Robin Hobb, I started this series this year and am hoping to complete it before the end of the year. And when I tell you it has taken over my life!!! Ah can't wait to hear your thoughts!
I'm desperately trying to finish the th book of the Wheel of Time series. Frankenstein is definitely on my list, and I've noted down a couple from your video, too! Also, it always makes me so happy when people mention Bristol. It's my hometown and the absolute best
vicious is my all time favorite book (and I've read most of v.e. schwab's works!!) SOOOO excited that ur reading it !!!! would love to see a reading vlog for that one (and threads of power ofc!)
so excited for you ( & jealous) to read Mistborn for the first time! my main reading goal this year was to read the Stormlight Archive, and my god, was it worth all those pages. my autumn tbr is constantly shifting, but i definitely want to read The Secret History
I'm reading Ninth House right now and it is pretty good but it took me until about 120 pages in to understand anything that was really happening and start to enjoy the story
so excited to see you again!!! this video is giving me some much needed inspiration for my autumn tbr. super intrigued about your dark academia thesis!!!
Can't wait to see what you thought of Assassin's apprentice. I have read the first 2 books and loving it so far. I am also in the mood for all the fantasy and dark academia this autumn ! Currently reading Babel, then probably A magic steeped in poison, Ninth House, Jonathan Strange and Mister Norrel, House of Hollow, Mrs Peregrine home for peculiar Children, The forest knows your name, more Robin Hobb...
I'm in the Traven Club and I'm re-reading Wuthering Heights on the Fable app. Also, The book That Wouldn't Burn is amazing. Mark Lawrence commented on my IG post, saying he was happy I was reading it.f
Omg yes I love autumn and I’ve been playing Balders Gate too! It’s so good, I still need to decide my fall tbr I can’t wait, I need everything cozy and Halloween themed 🍁
so many great reads on this list! Mistborn and Atlas Six are two of my fav series, and I loved Chlorine, it was relatable as a swimmer. I’m also hoping to get to Ninth House this fall! ❤
Saw dark academia in the title and thought to myself: "I wonder if he's going to read Ninth House" because that's what I'm reading right now. I hope to see you do a review on it.
You should read Lockwood and Co! It gives Halloween vibes, with it being based around ghosts and hauntings, so I think it would be a great Autumn read. I always re-read it around Autumn time, and it is a great series! The Netflix show is amazing as well!
Finally I had gotten to my reread of ToA like 2-3 weeks ago! A quarter done w Tower of Nero! Then I’ll get to solangelo’s book and can watch your previous video😂
I can't believe how many of these books overlap with my fall TBR! Almost all of them! Easiest subscribe ever. Haha I look forward to reading them all with you!!
Nettle & Bone was SO GOOD!!! I wanted to love The Atlas Six but it fell really flat for me (don’t come for me). I found the author relied very heavily on the enemies to lovers trope and her writing was just really choppy. My TBR list for autumn includes Gallant by VE Schwab, the Hell’s Library series by AJ Hackwith, and The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye.
wait okay I NEED to hear your opinion on the non-Welsh people kind of commandeering Wales as a setting for their fairytale novel thing I don't know if I'm overly sensitive or what but for some reason books like A Study in Drowning me feel kind of weird sometimes because of that maybe I'm a lunatic lmao
My name is wasim from india, i look your video your video is very interesting, sir i have one question please give correct answers, sir my question that if we upload video on youtube and we not select video language so what is effect to my video, i am waiting for your reply
So glad to have you back. I’m currently watching this video during an early September heatwave, so I’m in desperate need of these autumn vibes.
Same here!!! It’s 90 degrees F where I live. Awful
Same here... I am done with summer lol
Legendborn is such a fantastic book! it's definitely dark academia and quickly became one of my favorite books once I read it
18:40 i SOOO agree with this take. i just read mona awad’s bunny and rouge back to back and found her lack of ANY explanation pretty refreshing and weirdly addictive
I just finished Assassins apprentice today and it’s just become my favourite book not to be dramatic but wow. Enjoy
it’s the way i’m watching and taking notes as if it isn’t sweltering hot outside
3:27 assassins apprentice is now one of my all time favorite books, it’s definitely slow but it really builds up the basis for the entire realm of the elderlings and is heavily character focused.

Ok, i need that dark academia video. The sparkle in your eyes when talking about the subject is enough to make me belive your thoughts are gold!
Omg The Atlas Six is incredible. Hope you enjoy it!

Julia Armfield’s salt slow and our wives under the sea fit the -transformative fiction- genre that you were talking about! Both were great
The Book That Wouldn't Burn is so good! It's a lot of vibes and you'll be unsure where it's going, but just let yourself enjoy the journey!
Who gives Joel a thumbs up before watching the video!??? One of my favorite youtubers!! 💙💙
Great to see that THE BOOK THAT WOULDN'T BURN is on your list 🙂 I hope you have fun with it!
Joel! Lovely to see you're back. Hope you had a good break ✨

The amount of unread books on one’s TBR is the ultimate horror of every reader in any situation, darling
JOEL YOURE BACK IVE MISSED YOU!!
I'm reading Ninth House right now and it is pretty good but it took me until about 120 pages in to understand anything that was really happening and start to enjoy the story

so many great reads on this list! Mistborn and Atlas Six are two of my fav series, and I loved Chlorine, it was relatable as a swimmer. I’m also hoping to get to Ninth House this fall! ❤
We have incredibly similar tastes and I’ve added a lot of these books to my own StoryGraph TBR 😂 not mad about it though!
First timer to Mistborn too and I am currently in book 2! You gotta do it, give yourself the gift of joy this fall 🥹😅
Good to see you back!
So happy to see a new video on the channel! It’s nice to see a Dedicated Fall Girlie on UA-cam 🎃 🌶️ 🥛
Our TBR lists are incredibly similar. It’s nice to know I’m not the only lagging behind on some of these popular books.
Saw dark academia in the title and thought to myself: "I wonder if he's going to read Ninth House" because that's what I'm reading right now. I hope to see you do a review on it.
Another wonderful transmogrifying book is Our Wives Under the Sea - it's a short, poetic read and really beautiful
So happy you’re back!
Yaaayy my fav booktuber is back! Watching this before going to work. Happy autumn! 🧡
Ahhhhh love me a new video!!!! The vibes are immaculate and the tbr selection is so exciting!! 🤍
Vicious is one of my faves. It’s incredible!

Please do a video on your 2023 book collection.
I can't believe how many of these books overlap with my fall TBR! Almost all of them! Easiest subscribe ever. Haha I look forward to reading them all with you!!
i love thissss, autumn is the best 😭 bestie where did you get your copy of a study in drowning?
I’m so excited for autumn too!!!! 🍁🍂🥮
Nettle & Bone was SO GOOD!!! I wanted to love The Atlas Six but it fell really flat for me (don’t come for me). I found the author relied very heavily on the enemies to lovers trope and her writing was just really choppy.

Oo so happy to see you in my sub box again!
You're going to like Legendborn, I already know. And Bloodmarked (the sequel) will absolutely take you out. Have fun! 😍
this video is a boost of ✨serotonin✨. prove. me. wrong.
so excited for you to read the atlas six
26th of September will be a glorious day
I listened to NightB**** on the way to Myrtle beach last year. It was very interesting.
Ooooh if you like revenge tragedies, I suggest playing The Last of Us pt2 (if you haven't already)
i live in north carolina and its still so hot even in september😭
More videoooos 😍
I think you will really love Natural Beauty by Ling Ling Huang
Loved Nettle & Bone and Vicious! Hope you enjoy too :)

I have so many books to read for autumn it’s not even funny.
Fear not, Fall was a British term that the Americans kept and we moved on from.
VICIOUS GIVES WHAT IT NEEDS TO GIVE 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 It’s amazing!
