I found another way to blend the effect over the video track - you can go to Generators -> Solids -> choose Custom; leave parameters without changes, so you are interested in Compositing only; Blend Mode - Screen. Not sure if it gives you the same 100% result, but you won’t need to mess up the main video track. *LIKE*
