Ali is the GOAT according to Jordan yet similar weight Usyk is ‘too small for the heavyweight division’ having already beaten chisora, aj and Dubois? Jordan is an idiot.
You missed the point. Usyk is a similar weight to what Ali was. Ali fought 18stone fighters. By his logic Ali and many other greats couldn’t have lived in this era because of their size. Total casual talk.
comparisons to Ali with trash talk would be fine, if he had the same level of competition as Ali. This generation has been plagued by avoidance of fights to protect the 0 and promoter's egos, and we're absolutely done with it.
Modern heavyweights avoid tough fights. Fury has taken risky fights since he fought Chisora in 2011 as a novice. Anthony Joshua ducked Undisputed with Wilder 3 times in 2018, ran from his mandatory Ortiz, ducked Fury twice in 2023 to fight Franklin and Helenius for no belt and less money😂
Ali often fought more top fighters in a single year than Tyson has in his entire career. The washed up Ali that lost to Leon Spinks in 1978 threw more punches per round and had a better connect rate than the 'prime' Fury that beat Klitschko. Comparison over.
I’m saying they avoid them, can’t get the credit if you don’t do the work. All the best brawls of the last ten years have been in the lower weight classes.
@@djo-dji6018 no the hasn’t fought everyone. He hasn’t took on all the different styles. He isn’t even close to cleaning out his era. He hasn’t done what a Louis, Ali, Tyson, Lewis or even a Wlad did. Fury fanboys have this weird attitude that we should all lower the standards of what it means to be a true ATG Heavyweight Champion ranked up with the very best in the sports history to accommodate Fury. Why would we lower the standards accommodate him? Ali, Lewis, Louis, Tyson all took on top contender after top contender. They didn’t take an occasional risk with a load of cherry picks inbetween.
Tyson Fury a man with so much controversy against him its untrue. Ngannou he lost that one. McDermott he lost that one. Wallin, fight should have been stopped with that cut. Wilder longest 10 count in history. Fight was done when he the canvas. He has the most flexible wrists in the world (check out floppy gloves). Tested positive for PED's and conveniently retires and has a meltdown.
They're both going to have a hard night if they both fight to their best ability. Usyk's movement and precision will be a nightmare for Fury. Fury's awkwardness and clinch work will be a nightmare for Usyk. I'm just hoping that it's a good fight, something deserving of the 25yrs wait that we've had. It's history in the making for both fighters win or lose.
This is Usyks easiest fight of his career. Fury can train all he likes,he can lose weight tone up do whatever. He will never be as good as Usyk and everyone will agree after the fight. Fury needs a miracle to stop a boxer as skilful fast techinally excellent and who has yet to be pushed to his limit. If Fury somehow pushes Usyk to the limit it will be magic to see Usyk.
you're about to look ridiculous and i will be back to this comment to embarrass you further when Usyk goes down with the first decent body shot 🤣 Dubois beat Usyk hes not even Average
Simon you're going to be proved wrong. You have taken your eye off the nuances of this fight and just believe bigger is better. In this case better beats bigger!!.
After Fury got cut against Wallin and knew he was in deep trouble, he tried his hardest to knock him out (really), but couldn’t. So not sure why Simon expects him to be able to KO Usyk
To be fair, during the lockdown Fury did those workouts at home with Paris for people to join in with which was really great. It doesn't excuse anything but he did consider 'the people' and did it brilliantly.
Fury gonna be surprised when he feels the power of Usyk. Might not be knockout power but the accuracy and timing is spot on. Fury not gonna be able to lean on cause Usyk simply won’t be there he’s got the best feet in boxing especially at heavyweight.
If Usyk could deal with the punches from the heavier handed Joshua, I'm sure he could handle the punches from a slimmed down Fury. Could Usyk stop Fury? I doubt it, Fury has a great recovery ability. So now probably that leaves the option of the fight going the distance. Usyk has great round to round work ethic and punch volume, along with footwork and ring craft and should pick up points in closely contested rounds, albeit the first half of the fight will more than likely be reserved as both have so much at steak. Usyk should win on points. But I can see the nod being given to Fury, because it will suit the money narrative more
By way of the comments, it seems people dislike your commentary more than they like it. I wonder why they are hanging on till the end--just to comment once again that they dislike your thoughts? :-) Actions speak louder. In terms of conversational English, Simon and Spencer offer a class that is not-too-common among boxing podcasters. For that alone, I thank you both. I don't always agree with your analysis. But that's neither here nor there. I enjoy Simon's clarity of speech. Spencer does a commendable job even though at times I wondered whether he tries a little too hard to be politically correct. Maybe that's their shtick. Whatever it is, it has been my pleasure to watch this channel. Regards.
How can he believe Fury will work out Usyk and KO him in the first few rounds of their first fight when it took him 2 fights to work out a one dimensional Wilder?
That's a newbie question, Wilder was powerful and tough despite his technical deficiencies. Each match has its own history and boxing is not mathematics.
I'd love to know the real rationale behind thinking Fury is the favorite in this fight after years of worsening performances (his last "great" performance was in 2021) and he is going up against arguably the best heavyweight currently, all because he dipped... had an eye injury before the original date and now looks good in pictures for Fury's standard? Fury is going to be up against arguably his most difficult opponent ever, he is coming off the back of what is arguably a loss to Francis Ngannou and he hasn't had any show-reel performances in years and somehow because he's lost the weight he can now turn back the clock and get back to his old self? I wouldn't be shocked if we see USYK absolutely school Fury in this and it becomes a hugely underwhelming event when we look back at it.
Fury failed to secure a knockout against Wallin, his last southpaw opponent, despite exerting maximum effort. Usyk poses a unique challenge, and it's unlikely Fury will be able to knock him out.
What are these two on about. People have got fed up with Fury in a way that they didn’t with Ali largely because ALI BACKED IT UP IN THE RING. Ali had like 25 world title fights and was three time champion, he literally fought everyone he was supposed to and when he was supposed to. Fury has faced what? Four opponents in world title fights? No unifications? Only faced one mandatory? And then we have to put up with bullshit like Fury-Chisora 3.
You're also doing a disfavour to Neven Pajkic. He dropped Fury in round 2 of their fight, a very similar punch to the one that Cunningham threw that also dropped Fury, a looping overhand right to the temple. I watched it live on channel 5 when Fury was managed by Hennessey, 2011.
Finally someone acknowledges that Fury rolled his ankle bad against Wilder and hasn't been same since... The ring side never mentioned it and I watch every back stage video clip and finally found it at the time, Fury immediately tells Paris "I destroyed my Ankle" and no one ever mentions or talks about it and that's when he peaked right there....
Usyk loses confidence very quickly? WTF is Spencer talking about there? It's like he just invented his own version of reality.

Completely different era. Heavyweights are bigger now.
You missed the point. Usyk is a similar weight to what Ali was. Ali fought 18stone fighters. By his logic Ali and many other greats couldn’t have lived in this era because of their size. Total casual talk.
@@RoadsideGee 100 percent
comparisons to Ali with trash talk would be fine, if he had the same level of competition as Ali.
@@Anthony.Joshua-s_Irish_Grandma Fury cherry picked a 37 year old inactive MMA fighter and got battered and dropped 😂😂😂
@@martynsharman1735 You can't blame today's boxers for trying to avoid ending up like Ali. Fans can be incredibly selfish.
Tyson Fury's trash talk isn't tolerated because of his shiftiness. No-one talks about Ali ducking fights. Not the same for Fury.
Tyson looks so nervous, but not a good nervous. Usyk just looks cool
doesn't look nervous to me... looks petrified
Beta's sharing their thoughts...😂
It means nothing, tension comes and go.
So true, I think we're all keen to see a good fight. No controversy.
John Fury is a complete embarrassment
In Fury's interviews in Saudi, Tyson looks scared.
John is a twat
Usyk's crazy eye's spooked fury
I've seen plenty of times people saying 'that boxer looks scared ', only for him to dominate the fight. Only Saturday we'll know who's who.
No. The difference is Ali BACKED UP HIS WORDS.
Fury DOESN'T.
TalkSport once again showing MASSIVE bias here 🤦🏻♂️
Exactly. Even mentioning him in the same sentence is a joke.
Sad that people forget that during lockdown Tyson fury.
And his wife.. Everyday was on social media. Doing exercises
to help motivate people.
People love to hype and hate, and they quickly forget.
Ali mouthed off but he fought EVERYONE. Fury takes an occasional risk with cherry picks in between.
Fury fought all the best apart from Joshua, who's surely not as dangerous as Usyk, so what's your problem?
You seem to be having quite a meltdown too. Fury's a serious champion with an incredible personal story, how can you guys dislike him?
Im going for a rocky 2 style double knockout 😎
😆👍
They're both going to have a hard night if they both fight to their best ability.
Usyk's movement and precision will be a nightmare for Fury.
Fury's awkwardness and clinch work will be a nightmare for Usyk.
I'm just hoping that it's a good fight, something deserving of the 25yrs wait that we've had.
It's history in the making for both fighters win or lose.
Come on Usyk let’s get these Fury’s out of Boxing
Says the tennis playing Barry Manilow lookalike traitor...😅😂
The big GK Fury will be undisputed King 👑 soon
Il return here after the fight to soak up that feeling of been right😂
@@ireland6690 No you wont. You will delete.
usyk will knock fury out cold inside 10 rds. it will be similar to the bellew fight.
😂
Behave yourself
Yes your right😊days
Clown. Your clueless
You're funny if you belive that. Usyk can't knockout heavyweight smaller than Tyson, so NO.
Simon you're going to be proved wrong. You have taken your eye off the nuances of this fight and just believe bigger is better. In this case better beats bigger!!.
I believe you are correct Adam.
It could go either way, but I want an Usyk win 🎉🎉
If spence stopped saying 'you go...' these uploads would be a short
Couple of AR Sol's kissing Fury's ring
People Keeping talking about Fury's adaptability..
He didn't adapt in the N'ganou fight did he.. it's a total myth about how great he is at adapting
I’m not sure about that, but we will see!
After Fury got cut against Wallin and knew he was in deep trouble, he tried his hardest to knock him out (really), but couldn’t. So not sure why Simon expects him to be able to KO Usyk
The Fury hype train is about to pull into Reality Station on Saturdy night.
what by a guy Dubois bodyshot KO'D ? hahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂 im defo coming back to this comment after the fight
And me lets watch him eat his words
For what seems to be a 50/50 fight, 16/1 for the draw looks great value
I think Usyk has to beat Fury and most importantly the judges because the Saudis and the industry are invested in Fury. it's all about the money.
Ok doctor ..
C'Mon TYSONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!
I am a Tyson Fury fan but , he does get caught out with his lies & bullshit etc & his dad doesn't help.
Where’s Simon? He predicted the round fury got TKOd 😂😂
Saturday will be a rude awaking for these two muppets 😂
They picked the rounds, just not the person being knocked out!
But I can see the nod being given to Fury, because it will suit the money narrative more
But Joshua didn't land many punches. He never got close enough.
John Fury putting the "mental" in monumental fight week
absolutely
Regards.
All of Spencer’s growth went on his ears - man the size of those puppies - his boxing name should have been Danger Mouse
You had me at Usyk is the better boxer.
Usyk WINS
Simon knows more about boxing then most off the people listening to he show
Sir Simon = Top LAD Proper Clobber 💯 Facts
What are these two on about. People have got fed up with Fury in a way that they didn’t with Ali largely because ALI BACKED IT UP IN THE RING. Ali had like 25 world title fights and was three time champion, he literally fought everyone he was supposed to and when he was supposed to.
Fury has faced what? Four opponents in world title fights? No unifications? Only faced one mandatory?
And then we have to put up with bullshit like Fury-Chisora 3.
Fury walks around at 480lbs naturally. I think he comes into this fight weighing 290-310lbs and flattens uysk! 🎉
No matter how many times you pretend to think Fury is going to KO Usyk, he’s not going to allow you to go to the fight lads. Give it up
Usyk will re open Tyson’s cut
@talksport: what’s the intro music please ? It’s banging!
Fury fighting sub par opponents have kissed people off. Seferi, Pianeta, Chisora, Whyte, Ngannou, Wallin, Wilder x 3, Schwarz.....All time great 😂
Simon Jordan mentioning Fury in the same sentence as Ali? You can’t compare the two inside and outside of the ring.
As a english man i support fury and do believe fury beats uysk. But usyk is a likable guy. John fury really needs to take a back seat
Spencer’s favourite word is “adaptability”
Finally someone acknowledges that Fury rolled his ankle bad against Wilder and hasn't been same since...
The ring side never mentioned it and I watch every back stage video clip and finally found it at the time, Fury immediately tells Paris "I destroyed my Ankle" and no one ever mentions or talks about it and that's when he peaked right there....
Great conversation as always guys Simon knows his stuff
