Went to about 40 Van Halen concerts through my life the last one was in 2015 I was ten years old when my uncle took me to my first Van Halen concert I'm in my 40s now VH for life ✌️☮️
Little brother, it makes my heart happy to see you reacting to King Edward and the boys! I've been with them from the beginning, and it's cool to watch you look just like us old farts looked when we were first allowed into their musical world. Welcome to the ride...it's a lifelong journey! Next tune: "Judgement Day," live from the same concert as the video you just watched...you're gonna freakin' love it!!!
My dad was cleaning out his truck when i was 16 and found his old girlfriend's 1984 van halen cassette in the glove box and asked if i wanted it. I knew a little about them but listened to it over and over and wore it out. Been a massive fan every since since. Drop dead legs was always my favorite on that album.
Evh literally took a world oversaturated in surf rock, into a world saturated in heavy metal. This dude literally changed the norms of music, and guitar with one random indie album from the seventies.
Alllllriiiight, Youngblood! I just love ALL the Van Halen you've reacted to. You remind me of me,when I was blown away the very first time I heard King Edward, and their debut album in 1978. It changed my life, and shook the world. It's quite obvious that you have an absolute love for elite level musicianship and epic song writing. That's why I subscribed to your channel. As a new member of your diverse collection, I'm going to ask you to react to "In this River" by Black Label Society. Where you will get to witness an absolute beast on the guitar, Zakk Wylde, who wrote and dedicated the song to Dimebag Darrell, of whom Zakk and Dime were best friends before the tragedy of his passing. Make ABSOLUTELY sure that you watch the Live version, from Doom Troopin', European Invasion, so you can see wth I'm talking about. Btw, Eddie Van Halen attended Dime's funeral, and put his black and yellow Frankenstrat(from the back cover of VH2) in Darrell's coffin to be laid to rest with him. Anyway, you're going to have a hard time keeping your jaw off the floor, but your mind will be blown, and you're welcome! 🤯🤘👍
It's easy to forget that people hearing debut EVH or Jimi,(RIP) NO ONE had played the guitar like that ever before,so the impact they had on music and the guitar in particular was monumental. One music mag from the 60's, the reviewer had a hard time describing the distorted sound Jimi coaxed from his gear/cranked Marshall stacks live lol. Sure, there was distorted guitar tones before Jimi, but Jimi's dirt exploding from his rig sounded like the apocalypse!
Hey man I love the appreciation for the Sammy era. They did a free live show around the mid 90s in Chicago or Boston. It is great really casual show. Check it out.
I don't honestly know how anyone can have the audacity to talk 💩 about Van Hagar when you have songs like this from that era. Freaking amazing. This was probably uploaded in 2015. Definitely not a performance from that time period.
Hey Brother, the closest thing to seeing Van Halen today is to go see Sammy Hagar's band The Circle. Mike Anthony plays bass in the band, so you got Sammy and Mikey on the vocals. Then you have Vic Johnson on guitar and the infamous Jason Bonham on drums!
I love your vids man, keep up the good work! And if you're interested in a bit heavier stuff, I recommend Slipknot (totally not asking you to join my hiperfixation) Or Ghost, if you want to listen to a more tame version or rock :D
I saw Van Halen several times with both Roth and Sammy. Love both versions. But i have to say, that hearing Sammy screaming lyrics with Eddies screaming guitar just does something to my soul. If you have never heard Humans Being by them, you need to check it out. Its from the movie soundtrack twisters. Awesome song. I believe it was the last song Sammy and Eddie ever wrote together.
It's too much..!!. Van Halen...thé sound..!. The energy...Eddie.🌟🎸❤️
F.U.C.K Was the first album i ever had. Stole it from a CD store when I was 14. It totally blew my mind
Edward, The Guitar God.

You should check out the version of this from their free concert in the streets of Dallas in 1991. Cool show.
