I want to say thank you for making these videos. I started Restoring a 79 C3 about 6 years ago. My father was realy into Corvette's especially the C3 and it gave us valued time together. Shortly after starting restoring my car I lost my father. So I have kept my promise to him an carried on by watching your videos and now it's nearly complete.
I really enjoy the C3 videos. Your customers are lucky to have you work on their Vette's! One 10 minute video per week would be cool
LOL...he's a Dad and Hubby and has a job... it would be nice, but I have been watching him since his first video when he was like 19 and I don't see it happening LOL
Great video! I just changed my turn signal indicator bulbs and dropped the steering column, etc. Wish I saw this a month ago😂
Some time ago I saw a video of a guy dropping the steering column, taking half the dash apart, etc. to change his bulbs. It looked like such a pain to do that I have been putting it off. Glad I did!
Making jobs people put off easy by clear explanation as always.
Love the C3 content!
I have a 1981 - after watching your video I am going to swap mine to LEDs. Thank you
this guy is cool I'd watch anything you post
My dad has a 82 CE that he wants me to fix up, so any videos you put out for it's type specifically, are greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Thanks Ben , Just what I was looking for - I just changed mine thanks to your video.
can you make a video for changing the center gauge cluster bulbs as well?
Thanks for this video Ben. I finally got my right turn signal bulb working thanks to your instructions. I have had my '78 SA seven and one half years and the bulb has never worked. Bulb was good just needed a better connection. Wishing you and your family the best.
I have replaced the hot bubs with LEDs. They come in any colour if you wat to be original. I used full daylight, 4400 kelvin color temp.
Great to see you back making corvette videos.
Outstanding Video, this really helped me a lot but I noticed the 77-dash lights are way different and a little more challenging to replace. Thanks for sharing.
Always informative videos, also great car!!!
Nice video - helped me on a 1980 Corvette with a burned out turn indicator bulb. 15 minutes to repair with your video as a guide. Thank you!
PERFECT TIMING Ben!!! One of my winter projects.
This helps out a lot! Not so much for the light bulbs. ✌️But for the Tachometer, circuit board to be replaced. Thanks a lot, for this! Glad you’re still doing these!,💪✌️😉🙏
Man, I thought you had stopped posting vids, great to see ya back
Good Seeing Back At It On The C3 Corvettes Ben, Always Informative, Waiting To See What’s Next..
Thank you for all the information. You have a beautiful shop.
Dudes!! This ain’t “Cadillac Jack”. It’s “Corvette Ben”. He’s only got one Caddy and this is a Corvette channel. So please simmer down on more Cadillac content. 🤗
I've been a subscriber for a while and I guess I haven't gotten notifications on new videos recently. I've been specifically looking at an 82 Vette to buy and I'm so excited to see what you do with this one!!
Thanks Ben, I'm always willing to learn stuff.
Thank you for all C3 content. These are great cars and need to be on the road. Your videos help people service them and learn. Always subscribed!
Again, so incredibly helpful! Thank you thank you thank you!
Saved me allot of time and headaches with this video ...Thank you so much...Do you know where I can get a set of screws for the lens...missing 2 of the little screws that hold it in...
great content, look forward to your vids lots of good info
Your vids really get me nostalgic for my '78 vett I had in college in the late 80's. I swapped out the L48 for a better 350 when it turned a main. I also dropped the spare, factory exhaust and useless AC for a major weight drop and had a great time. I'm glad you're keeping these cars on the road! Regarding this particular video, is there no LED alternative for the old, hot, yellow bulbs?
Saving this video for when I get around to doing this on mine :)
Thats my corvettes interior in your thumbnail !! nice vid btw
That’s for sharing your knowledge with us
Good on you for keeping us informed.
Thanks for this. Will also create a video om how to remove the door panels on that same model that has the power lock switch please?
Ben, Great videos. I have watched just about every video you have made on the 80-82 C3. Can you make a video on how to replace the bulbs in the center gauge cluster? Having some difficulty getting it undone.
Do you have a video for changing dash bulbs in a 68-77?
Great video Ben.
I had a 78 Ford Capri with the same issue; where the bulbs would get too hot and burn the lightbulb socket out, it wasn't just in the dashboard, but throughout the whole car....as far as I am aware the only solution is to replace the bulbs with LEDs....personally I don't think the bright "Ice white" light look was appropriate for a classic car, so I found some that has a more "yellow" (white-yellow) color that looked factory but obviously gave better light (without being too bright).
Ben, I have been working on my 79, L82. My tach pegged out with the engine running. I hand been having all kind on issues with my center console instrument cluster. I’ve replaced the circuit board 3 times.
Is there a easy way to change the bulbs in the middle cluster without having to take the entire dash apart? I’m so glad you showed how to do the speedo and tach, I was thinking I’d have to take everything apart for that too after seeing other videos on changing bulbs in older models.
Hello Ben love the video's and what you do. Not sure if this is something you would do ... but I have a 81 vett that really needs your help. Can ship car to you . Ty keep vids coming
Have to do this on my iroc gonna use LED cheaper and way more brighter
1981 Corvette. All dash and gages lights work including dim feature. However, all the lights are WAY too dim on brightest setting. Thinking to replace ALL bulbs to LED. What do you think?
Good stuff
Can you show a video on how to remove the gauge cluster? i am having a hard time getting it removed.
Excellent... Have u done one for Quadrajet rebuild?
Great info great video👍
I'm going to find a non-numbers matching '78 that's worth resurrecting (with a rust-free birdcage), chop that p.o.s. back end off and install a 68-73 rear end. Then have the hood modded to have some awesome gill slits fabbed on it to get that pressurized hot air out of the engine bay.
I been thinkin of led or smd bulbs for these as both draw alot lower current an in turn produce basically no heat an those style bulbs are called wedge bulbs .
Have you installed a borgeson steering unit? If so do you like the upgrade?
Thanks
Great video!! Can't seem to get my speedometer seated back in. Do I need to push the clip in that I pushed in to remove it?
Figured it out. Had to reach under the dash and push up a bit on the speedo cable so they would line up.
Nice vett
How do you pull the center bulbs for the flashers and brake?
Do they make LEDs that fit those sockets?
I tried to change my dash bulbs in my e320 to LEDs, and none of the ones I got fit even though they were listed for it. I finally gave up on that.
Ok so as I was replacing them they stopped working even the ones that worked I try putting back in and then they didn't any thoughts?
More vettes!
it did.
Where can I find some corvette decals for the caliper on a 76 Corvette that say corvette
I have an 81 and was wondering how blue led bulbs would look.
Does anybody by chance know if the LED version of this 194 bulb actually make the lights appear brighter ? Thanks
Is there led replacement bulbs, I wonder.
What's your thoughts on LED bulbs?
I was wondering the same thing, it would cut down on the heat.
@@raylz19 …and last forever.
wondering...why didn't you replace with LED bulbs?
How about replacing the bulbs with high quality LED's? ....Russell D.
Has anyone replaced the dash light bulbs with led's??
More Cadillac
Instead of more Vettes or more 56 Caddy, why not
SURPRISE us with something unexpected?
Oh, and don't fergit a tour of your NEW SHOP!

I replaced the tach board and the bulbs on that side. Neither turn signals were working so I used a pair of small bulb pliers and pulled both out. The left one works now but the bulb socket on the right side fell out the back. It looks like a ton of work to get that replaced.
