I just installed one of these on my fridge.. you did amazing explaining process.. one thing I tho the 3 in 1 starter kit is made so that u do not have to hook up that black relay box.. that box is made in the 3 in 1 device

ME too, started out on the Frig side, then we cleaned everything and reset the thing then it started on the Freezer side so now both sides flashing H1. I see your issue was 6 months ago, SOOO, was it the capacitator?
@@chrisboucher79 to tell you the truth I replace first the relay/ overload and it worked but then its have me h1 and there's a fan opening at the top left of the fridge side and it wont open so being from a small town I just broke it and now every thing is working great it bait colder to the top but I just put drink up there lol so yea good luck hope you get your to work

So I've got a Frigidaire side by side fridge freezer. The unit was freezing the refrigerator size but reading like 86 or something. I replaced the temperature sensor on the fridge side. The old one was burnt and now the unit isn't getting cold at all after plugging back in. Any suggestions?
Would this set of Relay and Capacitor work? They just look the same as the ones showing in your links, but yours are way more expensive especially the relay.

What if its just on the freezer?
my fridge is doing this showing the code for both sides, the fridge is not cooling but the freezer is gettinf cold now and iceing up on the back wall, not sure if i need to do the relay and something else or what.

What was the reason of installing the 3 in 1. Is it OK if I replace the capacitor and the starter relay, which is more expensive. Was the 3 in 1 installed because of the cost of other 2 parts?
common seen installed when originally relay is not on handy and customer wants the unit up and running asap... thats only for single phase compressor not multispeed or aka variable / inverter compressors

I’m getting the error code but everything is cooling as should with cold air coming from the vent in the fridge
If it’s an issue the temperature will start decreasing little by little if not don’t pay attention to the error code will go away👍🏻
This only worked for two weeks. Now compressor clicks again

So you are saying the h1 code means the capacitor and relay are bad??
I don’t know what’s wrong with it because I am not there but it’s a possibility because H 1 and refrigerator and freezer means that is high temperatures meaning that is too hot and if it is hot it could be Compressor, compressor relay or Freon leak the most common thing it’s Freon leak number 2 compressor relay

What if it's only showing h1 on the freezer side ?
If it’s not cooling at all, you need to check compressor, compressor relay, If it still cool, there’s a big chance there is losing Freon. This means it’s a freon leak in my recommendation. If it’s losing Freon on this model, my recommendation will be replace it

Replaced damper now code is F and fridge not working
I have this same problem. Sometimes at first it's just H1 on fridge side but then both fridge and freezer and when all this starts its when my freezer coils freeze and frost over. If I unplug it and defrost it and reset by clicking the door switches 6 times the error goes away for multiple days even to a week and then happens again.
If you get in a frost coil’s you’ll probably need a defrost thermostat
I can't post a picture but the whole inside coil in freezer gets frosted over and the metal panel ends up that way as well and then we get the H1 error for both freezer and fridge as well. I don't want to play a guessing game and can't afford to fix things that don't need fixing. But I'm also so tired of having to unplug and deforst and reset the panel once a week. It's getting old.
What if the compressor runs but the fans loose power and shut down after five min
What if you get the H 1 code only on the freezer side but your freezer reads 0 degrees and fridge is cool too?
This is what's going on with ours. H-1 only on freezer side. Did you ever figure it out?
@@dreuaustin it's been doing this over 4 months. I think it was because we had an extended power outage around that time..The appliance repairman told me it means the freezer reached or reaches above zero. In our case it just needs to be reset and it's nothing, probably that power outage caused it to trip.
Been having the issue you describe for at least the past few months, maybe year. Freezer side will cool almost continuously (I hardly hear it off these days) and it reaches a steady -5 deg F in there, but I'll still get the 'H1' (only on freezer, never fridge). This is with the Freezer set to the WARMEST setting! Not 100% sure what's going on, but ONCE I used the diagnostic mode to read the freezer thermistor while it was displaying 'H1' and it came out to 32 deg F (iced up maybe?!) while my thermometer was reading -5 deg F... Diagnostic mode has NEVER said anything is wrong either... but I did note how after I forced the fridge into/out of diagnostic mode the 'H1' has yet to return... Quite perplexed.... If I ever figure it out I'll be sure to let everyone know!

Did you ever figure out what the problem was..my side by side is only getting the code on freezer side and isn't cooling
So I had to call a professional, and they fixed it..the relay went up.. took them less than 30 minutes of labor time

@raidersfanallday iirc around $150-175..took tech all of 20 minutes to fix..it was a bad relay
