Theres a difference between a superficial wish and a sincere desire, and the magic has a failsafe to protect the former if the effects were undesired and make the latter permanent. Yes this goes against any malicious intent that could be in the potion, however with a lot of these things, malice comes from the people themselves realising their “happy ever after” didn’t need this, but being too late.

@TheTheorizer I always assumed that Fortuna just turned a female donkey into a dragon to gard Fiona. That's why she was into donkey and without Fiona to gard she reverted back to a donkey, got preg from donkey and didn't have the babies till after she turned back to a dragon causing them to be part dragon.
If the dragon was pregnant before turned into a dragon, maybe the happily ever after potion allowed the pregnancy to finish, and like you said this caused the babies to be half dragon.
@kassidytucker8431 well the dragon and donkey didn't meet till after she was already a dragon, so if I remember the time line right many the happily ever after potion that turned donkey into a horse turned the dragon back so donkey could have his dreams come true. After that potion stopped and he turned back into a donkey dragon changed back but pregnant. And the magic allowed for the hybrids to work.
Buuut remember he was with Shrek that time because Dragon was pregnant n he didn't realize that's why she was upset asab and going off she was scared she wouldn't be able to pass them properly since she was supposed to lay eggs but was scared the kids wasnt gonna survive also Fiona and Shrek's whole thing is basically superficial unlike donkey because he loved his family already the way they were no second guesses on his part but Shrek thought they needed to look a certain way
so, i love Megamind. here's a more sane theory that better fits the character's as theyre portrayed in the movie: firstly, Megamind lands in the prison. where the convicts find him, and hide him away, raising them as their own. at some point, the warden - someone who demonstrably cares for Megamind when we see him in the movie -, chooses to let him remain in the prison, probably going so far as to adopt him himself. this is likely because he has bonded with the inmates, and the warden doesnt want to take their child away from them. especially considering the child is not human, and keeping him in the prison where the warden can protect him from experiments and larger government influence is the best compromise he can find. better to keep him close then entrust him to a system that at best will see him in foster homes until adulthood. when Megamind grows older, it is shown that his attempts to escape emerge, and this is when the warden has to consider for the first time the future of the child he has kept essentially as a pet in his prison. thus, the school for gifted kids is born. its built right next to the prison, where Megamind can be kept an eye on at all times, and the warden himself remains on the bus to ensure nothing bad happens to his escape artist child. its built so close to the prison that in real life, it would still be on prison grounds. its clear the warden had a hand in it's creation, his fingerprints are all over the place. at the same time, Metroman's parents are facing a similar issue, worried their son, with the powers of a deity, will struggle to socialize in even the expensive private schools they can afford. so when they read about the school for gifted kids, and how it is looking for applicants to fill the seats, they of course send their child, along with hefty donations. from here the story plays out more or less how we see it, with Megamind and Metroman falling into these societal roles that they were expected to. Metroman expected to be the cities savior by his adopted parents, and Megamind expected to be a villain by his convict found family. but both of them, not truly wanting these lives that were laid out for them. i understand these are entertainment theories, and so is this. I just can't look at the warden's portrayal and think he ever intended anything sinister for Megamind.
In a way.. you could say he likes Reggae humor Also I've lost pets who were the center of my world for the moment I saw them. Nana brought him to Africa to be sure he was safe and given the age lengthening stuff to help him be alive. It would take a FEAT to let them just let them take his body and mount it.. but maybe family or respect demanded it..
the way the writing and performance becomes increasingly feverish and raving I feel like I'm going mad with the host as I watch this. Incredibly made video, never let anyone tell you it's not artistically valuable just because of the subject matter, this is a fucking masterpiece.
55:06 on Donkeys Magic Kids, in shrek 4 during the apocalypse timeline when Shrek tells Donkey about his kids, Donkey barely hears Shrek describing them because he is simply overwhelmed with happiness that he has kids. Pointing further towards the happily ever after potion truly leading to his happiest end, fatherhood.

About Nana: to be fair girl guides/ girl scouts do be like that we're tough as nails survivalists if we actually take it seriously. Also, about the accent, if she moved from Russia, and grew up in a family that mostly (or only) spoke Russian at home, and also grew up with a friend group comprised of children also from Russia who of course mostly speak their 1st language in the casual social context, which would probably be Russian, she would actually most likely keep her accent until she dies and her children would be the ones to have an accent in early years and mostly lose that accent in adulthood, and her grandchildren wouldn't have much of that Russian accent. Language anthropology man, its real.
I think something really interesting about the underlying connection centering around the theme of repression is DreamWorks entire start. Its common knowledge that the company started as a sort of middle finger towards the Disney CEO at the time, for essentially repressing and ignoring artist's imput and ideas
I do really like that he talks about it. I was only able to watch it about a year ago for the very first time because I had never heard of it before and I loved it.
Hear me out, The potion makes you exactly as your lover loves you, your true self. Fiona prefers Shrek as his Ogre self, Shrek sees Fiona more happy, more beautiful and more herself as an Ogre. Donkey might have wanted kids and biology was the only thing in the way, so Dragon became a mother. Dragon loves donkey as just that, a Donkey.
I just watched part 3 go up, and get privated, DONT LET THEM STOP YOU FROM GETTING THE TRUTH OUT!!! I have loved how unhinged this theory goes, I hope everything goes smoothly in unloading it!!
Something to consider. If dana put dragon to guard the tower, and donkey became a horse when he drank the potion, he may have turned into dragon's true form. A horse. Is dragon actually a horse, like how fiona is a human turned ogre?
the only thing i could say is the mirror was just using public knowledge, there was tons of dead knights trying to save her before even shrek came along. not only that but the information was in shreks book at the beginning. getting the information that she was locked in the tower was pretty common knowledge.
I just realized that the characters in the movie refer to the moon as the man in the moon so that could mean that the character that is almost always on the moon at the start of every movie could be a god of some sort in this universe
Well, here's some info that I've found about Oogway from watching some vids on the various series and paying closer attention to the movies: -The dude led an army with Kai, one that presumably had good intentions, but that still makes him a confirmed warlord none the less, so there goes the confirmation. -He was born in the Galapagos Islands and then started traveling the world so unless he's lying about his past, he probably isn't the Over the Hedge turtle. -He apparently invented kung-fu by meditating and honing his self-defense craft for like 10 000 days so he might've reinvented it, although that still begs the question as to how he knows. So again, either he's lying or there's something we don't know. -The original Dragon Warrior was a dragon named Jindao who got greedy, tried to take all the world's chi and then got put in a pack by his disciples, the Four Constellations. Oogway then inherited that dude's chi, if I remember correctly, and used it to be a great hero and do all types of Dragon Warrior type shit, but the actual legend was entirely made up by him. So if part of being the Dragon Warrior is being his successor and inheriting that chi, then arguably, it isn't so much a legendary cycle that repeats itself or some profound vision that came to Oogway, he literally made it all up with the intention of passing his chi unto someone worthy of his power. He then took it as no coincidence that a panda, some of the greatest chi users he knows, dropped in front of his nose exactly when he needed a successor and gave his chi to Po when he died. So, yeah, he was sort of the original Dragon Warrior, although that's technically a title he himself made up. Hope that helps.
@@TheTheorizer what does this mean. Rip? Are you insinuating you died? What happened to you in your quest for mort knowledge? Why have you changed? Did he.. take your soul? Theorizer. Are you still... theorizer?
I am so hyped about this video that I had to pause it and make a comment saying yes yes yes more I want oh my gosh this is gonna be great thank you for making my night!❤
HOLY MORT, PLEASE SEE THIS!!! I've spent yesterday and today watching through all 3 Mort Theory longform videos, and I have two small and a MEGA theory to add to the mix for you. Quickly, in Theory One, I noticed tears mentioned a few times, being used in different purposes. Thought that was interesting. Secondly, in Part 3, you mention at time stamp 28:40 of that video that Hammy gains supernatural power when drinking soda. Feels similar to how something like coffee effects More. Both caffeinated drinks. BUT HERE'S WHY I REALLY NEEDED TO COMMENT, and why I'm commenting on part two, as something caught my attention here, and it's something massive you've been overlooking. I think I know what happened to Mort that caused him to split. Both the Megamind movie and Over the Hedge explain it. 1:12:50 You mention that Megamind's world ended via a black hole or something "shadier". You said that topic was for another day, and that day is today! (Barring that you've not covered it yet. I found your channel yesterday and have only watched these 3 videos and the Baby Smitty video.) 1:32:50 So we know there's a third planet, and it's right next to Megamind's home world. 1:34:25 You theorize that Megamind and Metro Man's planets fought each other, which caused one of them to make this "black hole". 1:35:00 You ask if they wanted to go down together. 1:34:40 "They'll go down, so long as their enemy goes down with them." I do not believe they fought each other to the point that one caused the "black hole" to destroy the other. I believe they used to fight, but ended up coexisting until Mort, before he was split, came into the picture and threatened their existence. Maybe Mort is what caused the fighting to stop; a common enemy. Seeing how resilient he is after the split, I'm sure that this "black hole" was the final decision they had to take him out. And in order for it to work, every member of both planets had to take part as Mort was that great a threat to existence as a whole, and they decided to heroically sacrifice themselves. Metro-world's super-powers kept Mort from escaping, Mega-world's intellect created the "black hole". Metro was closer to the "black hole", so they had Mort held there. And this "black hole" didn't destroy Mort, it split him across different multi-verses. A worm hole then maybe? But each planet had a couple who let their child escape anyway, and maybe losing two members of the dual planet collective is what caused the plan to fail, and instead of killing mort, they split him. But they were also babies... This would also mirror the Megamind movie. Megamind and Metro fighting, just like their home planets, before a common enemy made them team up to destroy them. Now we've also seen this tech possible before in Dreamworks. In Mort Theory part 3 at 28:10 you say that Dwayne from Over the Hedge has "Access to a weapon so powerful... ...has the ability to create what equates to a super nova, which breaks the laws of luminous flux... ...view of it from outer space." "This is a super-nova blast designed to kill an elder god." Mort was an Elder God before the split, and the Metro- and Mega-world's created a super nova to destroy him. But then there's that third planet... And this is where it get's fun. Minion is a sky god. Or, at least a descendent of them. I believe Mega-world aided in the third planets evolution. Hence why we see Minion have a robotic antenna. They traveled to the third planted, and gifted the fish-like creatures with intellect, and some stayed on the Mega-world as servants in thanks. Though I would assume respectfully treated regardless of position. Now when the super nova was created, inhabitants of the third planet escaped, maybe before it started, with the help of Mega-world's tech. Not all of them, maybe most stayed to help those who gave them intelligence, but some. And they went towards earth too. A destination set by the Mega-world people, as they knew it also had intelligent life and water. But they didn't make it to Earth. They landed on the moon. Looking at real life, we can theorize that ancient humans may have mistaken aliens as gods from the sky, and I think this is what occurs here. The third planet's aliens, upon finally contacting humanity, were considered gods. Except, I think they wanted to pass on their gift of intelligence. Like the Mega-world gave it to them, they saw Earth's animals as the next best creatures to give the gift to. And this is why we see so many with human intelligence, and why they reference sky god's. 2:31:30 "Humans are trying to force-evolve themselves." As the animals are getting smarter, humans as humans do are becoming afraid. So they turn to the only one's they know who can help them keep up with the animals growing intelligence. Metro Man and Megamind. Taking DNA from Metro Man, and using his scientific brain, he help genetically alter humans to be able to take out these new, smarter animals. He also supplied them with tech, like what Dwayne has, mirroring a smaller version of what his palnets used to take out Elder God Mort. Therefore, the kindness of Mega-world to a lesser-evolved planet, caused the formation of the Sky God's who gifted animals with intelligence, causing humans to turn to a former member of Mega-world to "fight back". A new war for a new Mega-world generation. A species who only wanted to give, but instead, is cursed to only cause destruction. And finally, at some point, the Sky God's, now highly advanced and having taken over Earth with their intellectually evolved animals, send down some of their tech disguised as a piece of the moon, and shaped like a heart, showing that the sharing kindness of Mega-World never left them.
@@oliviarettberg7173 that's exactly what I was referring to, yes xD The bad guys world is the outcome of the powered up humans vs the intellectual animal war. Animals won, anthropomorphized more, and we're gifted that rock we see in the movie.

While I totally understand assuming Nana is Russian because there are few countries that have Russian as their official language, this is not the case with French. French is one of the two main languages spoken in Madagascar, for example. There's actually a lot of African countries that do so. If there was a secret organisation training people to keep sentient animals in check, with perhaps a focus on Mort, it would totally make sense to train someone who knows a language which could allow them to communicate with locals: a French person. But maybe it's just people from all over the world who get trained in French in one of these African countries.

Buuut remember he was with Shrek that time because Dragon was pregnant n he didn't realize that's why she was upset asab and going off she was scared she wouldn't be able to pass them properly since she was supposed to lay eggs but was scared the kids wasnt gonna survive also Fiona and Shrek's whole thing is basically superficial unlike donkey because he loved his family already the way they were no second guesses on his part but Shrek thought they needed to look a certain way
so, i love Megamind. here's a more sane theory that better fits the character's as theyre portrayed in the movie:
firstly, Megamind lands in the prison. where the convicts find him, and hide him away, raising them as their own.
at some point, the warden - someone who demonstrably cares for Megamind when we see him in the movie -, chooses to let him remain in the prison, probably going so far as to adopt him himself. this is likely because he has bonded with the inmates, and the warden doesnt want to take their child away from them. especially considering the child is not human, and keeping him in the prison where the warden can protect him from experiments and larger government influence is the best compromise he can find. better to keep him close then entrust him to a system that at best will see him in foster homes until adulthood.
when Megamind grows older, it is shown that his attempts to escape emerge, and this is when the warden has to consider for the first time the future of the child he has kept essentially as a pet in his prison. thus, the school for gifted kids is born. its built right next to the prison, where Megamind can be kept an eye on at all times, and the warden himself remains on the bus to ensure nothing bad happens to his escape artist child. its built so close to the prison that in real life, it would still be on prison grounds. its clear the warden had a hand in it's creation, his fingerprints are all over the place.
at the same time, Metroman's parents are facing a similar issue, worried their son, with the powers of a deity, will struggle to socialize in even the expensive private schools they can afford. so when they read about the school for gifted kids, and how it is looking for applicants to fill the seats, they of course send their child, along with hefty donations. from here the story plays out more or less how we see it, with Megamind and Metroman falling into these societal roles that they were expected to.
How did Shrek learn to read?
Explain that, Theory Boy
He read a book about it, duh 🙄

55:06 on Donkeys Magic Kids, in shrek 4 during the apocalypse timeline when Shrek tells Donkey about his kids, Donkey barely hears Shrek describing them because he is simply overwhelmed with happiness that he has kids. Pointing further towards the happily ever after potion truly leading to his happiest end, fatherhood.

well imma be watching this entire video to brush up on it. btw has anyone ever mentioned you have a good reading voice? its very soothing when you are calmly discussing the theories
Disappointed that there’s no one talking about your appreciation of Rise of the Guardians, which i also believe to be one of DreamWorks’ best ideas

It's so strange watching this channel's evolution, and how integral to it Mort has been.
I thought PART 1 was everything, I cant believe there are 3 OF THESE

Im so ready to sit and be amazed by the amount of thought time and passion goes into such a small thing 💀
This really is evolution of The Theoriser. You can really tell how he has changed over the years.
All throughout the years, he hasn't done a how to train your dragon theory at all, which shocks me.
I just realized that the characters in the movie refer to the moon as the man in the moon so that could mean that the character that is almost always on the moon at the start of every movie could be a god of some sort in this universe
1:00:00 idk about that one, almost all mythology has dragons innately able to reproduce half-dragons with any species.
Well, here's some info that I've found about Oogway from watching some vids on the various series and paying closer attention to the movies:
-The dude led an army with Kai, one that presumably had good intentions, but that still makes him a confirmed warlord none the less, so there goes the confirmation.

I adore this. This got me through my mega anxious summer job in retail 2 years ago. THANK YOU.
I found your channel yesterday and have only watched these 3 videos and the Baby Smitty video.)
1:32:50 So we know there's a third planet, and it's right next to Megamind's home world.
1:34:25 You theorize that Megamind and Metro Man's planets fought each other, which caused one of them to make this "black hole".
1:35:00 You ask if they wanted to go down together.
1:34:40 "They'll go down, so long as their enemy goes down with them."
I do not believe they fought each other to the point that one caused the "black hole" to destroy the other.
In Mort Theory part 3 at 28:10 you say that Dwayne from Over the Hedge has "Access to a weapon so powerful... ...has the ability to create what equates to a super nova, which breaks the laws of luminous flux... ...view of it from outer space." "This is a super-nova blast designed to kill an elder god."
Mort was an Elder God before the split, and the Metro- and Mega-world's created a super nova to destroy him.
2:31:30 "Humans are trying to force-evolve themselves."
As the animals are getting smarter, humans as humans do are becoming afraid.
What if that piece of technology disguised as part of the moon is the moon rock from Bad Guys??
@@oliviarettberg7173 that's exactly what I was referring to, yes xD
The bad guys world is the outcome of the powered up humans vs the intellectual animal war. Animals won, anthropomorphized more, and we're gifted that rock we see in the movie.
And when we all needed a two hour essay on Mort. He reapeared
i wonder what future civilizations will think of this series
Bruh I thought he somehow made a 2 hour long part 27

While I totally understand assuming Nana is Russian because there are few countries that have Russian as their official language, this is not the case with French. French is one of the two main languages spoken in Madagascar, for example. There's actually a lot of African countries that do so.
If there was a secret organisation training people to keep sentient animals in check, with perhaps a focus on Mort, it would totally make sense to train someone who knows a language which could allow them to communicate with locals: a French person. But maybe it's just people from all over the world who get trained in French in one of these African countries.
