    Thank you so much for this video. This is such a simple pragmatic way of adding more rows for the bust. Something I had been looking for without knowing how to go about it.

    That is awesome thank you. Also I love your shadow wrap tutorial, I use shadow wraps for toe up socks, I love that there are no holes and the stiches look nice too.

    Lots of great info in this video, thank you! I also like the way you purl continental... I usually use my thumb, but it's not super convenient with ribbing. I"m going to try your way next!

    Perfect , making first sweater and needed to know how to approach this and familiar with shadow wrap , this answered my question of if can just use shadow wrap vs wrap and turn. (not as good at those ) :D

    This video was so helpful! How would you suggest knitting bust darts if we're knitting from the bottom up?

      Glad you found it helpful! Unfortunately, since Julie's patterns don't include bust darts from the bottom up, we don't have detailed instructions for you. But we know there are a lot of great tutorials about this technique on UA-cam and the internet, so you should be able to find what you need. Happy knitting!

    Love the black top you're wearing - is there a pattern for that one?

      Hi! Yes, that is Emma A from the book: Cocoknits Sweater Workshop, available on our website and at many LYS. It is knit with short sleeves and Habu Textiles a-188 Linen Cotton Paper.

    What do you do if your sweater doesn’t actually get to the full apex without adding stitches around and then it gapes at the back?

    • @CocoknitsVideos
      @CocoknitsVideos  8 місяців тому +2

      Hi Kelly, you don't mention how closely spaced you have done your short rows in this case. If they are as close as you want them, you can also add another inch or 2 to the front(s) only of the sweater. The Cocoknits method makes this easy to do while working the yoke with the worksheet. Feel free to email us at knit@cocoknits.com with the name of the sweater you are knitting and information about how closely spaced the short rows are and we'll be happy to help.

    Can I use this technique for my bottom-up top?

    • @CocoknitsVideos
      @CocoknitsVideos  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Monika, Yes, you can. You can do them as written here. Or if you'd like your dart triangle to be the same shape and orientation as Julie's are in the video, you can start with the longest short row first and do them in decreasing lengths. But it shouldn't matter which way the triangle slopes. Hope that helps!
