Really depends where you live. For me I leave mine off. But I live in the south and there’s never any salty roads or anything that it needs to help protect against. Do you happen to have a video of what you did after removing the engine and transmission together? No one ever has a video of the process taken to separate the trans from the engine while its on the cart lol.

Couldn't you just pull the intake and shift the engine and transmission forward a little to drop it so you don't have to drop the subframe? Maybe even pull the fan?

If you were going to remove the battery, should always do that first
It’s not going to hurt to drain the fluids first. The main thing is you want to remove the battery before disconnecting connectors.
