for anyone watching, 27inch for 1080p is too much, you will notice the screens pixels, 24inch is the sweet spot for 1080p, 27in is for 1440p.
Cheers bro

Does it work for ps5
Yeah, you’ll notice if you are literally 1 cm from screen, otherwise you wont.
I’m ready for the black Friday deals! Looking to upgrade my monitor at the end of the year
The monitor stand matches the Spider-Man web-crest shape theme if you go for that……. I personally use 2x Philips 24” monitors in our homes “work from home” setup and they’re great quality and budget friendly monitors with very crisp displays and respectable colour representation 💪👍🥰. Great review once again Tech Critter 🥰👍
Do they have speakers?
No @@marcoslightspeed5517
If anyone is still interested and has some questions about this monitor. I will order three of them by the end of this week so I can give you my thoughts next week if I dont forget to do so. I will be using them for simracing, hence the reason I need three of them, I am looking for something inexpensive but high refresh rate and between 27-32inches. FullHD at simracing is plenty and important for me was also that the bezels are small and that the ports are at the bottom because otherwise I wouldn't be able to mount them to my SimLab Vario Vesa mounts which go on to a GTomega Prime triple monitor stand made from aluminum extrusion.
Hey! So whats the update. How was everything with this monitor so far?
@@Hlas-knih Alrighhht okay so: First of all unpacking experience, I think it's quite nice from philips to give you a displayport AND a HDMI cable. It's not a must have but still quite nice. The monitor is visually very appealing. It's minimalistic and clean. Only downside visually is the fact, that if you mount it via VESA, the back of the monitor looks like it is missing a piece of plastic but that's not too big of an issue. Turning on the monitor the image out of the box looks good. I've got the VA Panel ones, and it's nothing scream about but at the same time they're a lot better than something like a tn panel and look similar to the colors of my Asus IPS display. The 165hz feels good, G-Sync compatibility was out of the box there. I personally think they're great. If you have any more questions just let me know.
Bang for buck wise these monitors are a 9/10
most of the monitors would just give you HDMI cable as it is the cheaper one than the DP cable. overall, our verdict is about the same, bang for buck monitor.
@@3rr0rcs5 wanna ask if the 1080p gtaphics on a 27 inch monitor. Is the pixelation on the monitor bothers you when using it?
@@zoukeane2196 well in simracing im a bit further away than with a regular desk setup. I'd say if you're not used to gaming on 1440p or 4k then it won't bother you
Fantastic review!
What is the best color settings like RGB and brithness contrast for this monitor for video editing and design. I bought this monitor but the color seems off.
sorry, i don't understand how rotate the monitor in vertical position, can you explain?
Hey did u test max brightness? Is it enough for a room? And what about minimum brightness?
Thank you!
Thanks for the video!
Hello, thinking fo getting one. How is the ghosting?
i dont really see any difference between 1080p vs 1440p
This monitor allows us to avtivate VRR on ps5?
I bought the 24 inch ZA version (still waiting to be delivered) for my Nintendo Switch and mini consoles on my desk next to my 27 inch iMac. Should I have bought 27 inch instead? 😅
24 is fine
@@TechCritter This 24 inch Full HD IPS adjustable Philips monitor is just ridiculously good for the price. It is installed at max 5 minutes.
The image is almost perfect out of box without using 1 of the many presets. I am quite sensitive to a lesser image quality. The reaction time while playing games is very good (no delay) and hardly or especially no ghosting observable. Everything stays super sharp! The build quality of the metal adjustable stand and VESA mount are really top notch. The sound of built-in stereo suits for sitting at a desk.
I really don't understand how Philips can offer this at this price for this quality. In any case, I am very satisfied and therefore highly recommended!!!
(Reference, there is an iMac 27” screen next to it)
I am thinking about buying one, but all the youtube videos are, for some unknown reason, filmed in the dark. Can you advise how this screen works on a room with light? say.. sunlight or simply bright light?. Is the brightness of the screen enough for seeing clearly even in a bright room?. Thank you.
Sunlight definitely not going to be good.
Bright room is going to be a okay, assuming that it's not too bright with studio lights and such
I have a Philips Momentum monitor which can go to 165 Hz at 1080p. My pc has a AMD 5900x, Rtx 3060 and connected to monitor using the DP cable supplied with monitor. Have set Windows display to 165hz and this shows in Nvidea control panel too. The thing is I can't see the difference from 60hz to 165 Hz. I played Shadow of Tomb Raider and CS 2 and toggled between 60hz to 165hz and just can't see the difference. Even in Windows moving folders and mouse cursor I still can't see the difference. I have the latest drivers for my GPU installed. Is there something else that needs to be set or am I doing anything wrong?
reset monitor to factory setting in OSD menu, could help
@@mlg1337professional just tried that and no change...anything I can try?
@@kennethtsang9543 is difference switching between 60hz and 165hz noticeable on windows desktop? Maybe you didn't change hz in game graphic settings. Also don't use smartsize in monitor setting, use your native display size in smartsize instead of everything.
@@mlg1337professional I don't notice any difference from 60hz to 165hz. Not using smarteize. It shows 165hz in Nvidea control panel as well as in in Windows. What graphic card setting you think I may not of enabled?
hello my friend, i am undecided whether to buy it, do you think i should buy it, did it cause any problems?
Hi, is there any IPS glow or backlight leak?
Yes, depends on your luck
Is it possible to change the brightness on this monitor in srgb mode??
Sure, then it'll become custom.
How do i set it for 165hz cause its say i have only 60hz native
Use DisplayPort
Thank you
can i use it with a ps4
does this monitor work with playstation
is it possible to get 120 fps with hdmi 2.0 with it?
At 1080p yes
Does he need PS?
i bought this yesterday at price of indonesian Rp 2.800.000, or about $184 US :)I think it's a pretty solid deal :)
Does it have ghosting?
@@flavius44 i used to my 3ms (on paper) 144hz display on my ROG GL504GV laptop. I think this monitor should be better display or on par with my laptop. I play apex legends daily and there is no noticeable ghosting if I turned on the MPRT mode on the philips display.
Wah that's quite a good deal, i think the official price is around IDR 3.000.000 right? Btw want to ask how is your experience using FHD in 27"? I'm still hesitating whether to stick to FHD or go for QHD, but I'm definitely upgrading to a 27" from my 24" FHD 60hz. I play games casually but also illustrate as profession so color accuracy is a priority.
