Ironically, this is all being dismantled right in front of your eyes today.
And that is very admirable. Perhaps we could use that kind of thinking in politics now.
He was able to identify and see the common feelings that slaves would have felt because as a child he was made to work and someone else recieved the pay. So he saw similarities between himself and slaves instead of seeing differences.

So in a nutshell, the power of words is shown to have power for change to utilize a stronger union for all.
It is extremely disconcerting when the talking heads in this video seem to have less knowledge of the English language than the uneducated master. President Abraham Lincoln. I have read Michael Burlingame’s book. Its as ambiguous as calling lincoln lucky to take on the debates. History tells us that Luck was not one of Lincolns strong points . Douglas was arrogant and even though the men had known each other for years, he allowed his class to judge Lincoln. MB calls this luck ?
What a great video, wish this was shown in our schools today.
