That's what I'm talking about. They both have good camera's but a DSLR they're not LOL. I consider them both hit and miss especially with bokeh.
That's it, Douglas. Amateur will praise video quality on a phone, because of nice colours, but the professional will praise DSLR for that ugly grey, non contarsty and sharpy footage, also called RAW.

Both phones have very good cameras. It’s just a matter of personal preference. But for me the Note has a “pro” mode in the camera which can give more control and flexibility than the iPhone.
You can get pro mode with third party apps on iPhone like halide.

Lol, nope. Never has been. But for me that was fine because my pictures always came out nicely. Unlike on Samsung, which was hit or miss typically 🤷🏽♀️. But it's personal preference.
These little differences in quality just don't matter for the average user... But that's my opinion
I agree - it feels wrong to have to zoom in 3x to see differences sometimes. The average user is just going to put it on Instagram..but often that's the only way of spotting a difference (aside from more obvious night mode differences)

I took my note 10+ for camera testing today it it turned out pretty good. There are still a lot for me to learn to get better photos though, so that's exciting to look forward to. As for the Night Mode, it was alright but I just switch it to normal photo mode it it took better and clearer photos for me.

Both look good. I've got the Note 10 Plus and I'm loving it, I've got lot of compliments on the videos I'm posting in my Brazilian channel due to the video quality going up recently! my only complain is the speaker quality, to me the Note 9 sounded it better but it doesn't bother me much!

I have the note 10+ which is admittedly a huge upgrade from my S8+, but I have noticed that low light video is a real punish, it's almost not worth filming in low light on the note sadly.

Honestly, what this tells me is these phones really aren't too far apart and it comes down to what you want in software from Android/iOS

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and my friend has a Galaxy S10+.
When I compare my phone to his, I found that the 11 Pro Max picture quality looked more realistic and the S10+ picture quality was amazing and looked as if it was filtered, which was pleasing to the eye.
I also noticed that when you took a close up picture with the S10+, it would easily auto focus on the object and it would take an extremely fine detailed picture. I tried to take the same photo with the 11Pro Max (close up picture) but it would not focus unless I backed the phone up a little. The picture quality could not compare to the S10+.
When I compared the video quality between the two, I found the 11 Pro Max produced better video and sound quality.
The S10+ also produced great video and sound quality but the 11 Pro Max just wins in this area, for my eyes and ears anyway.
Both are good phones with best and worst things, sometimes the Apple will let u down and sometimes the Note.
But overall the Note beats the Apple in loooks..

Other youtubers had me thinking i was delusional with they way they presented the note 10 camera.
Even guys i respect their reviewers such as supersaf and mrwhosetheboss photos of the note 10 was shockingly horrible. Compare their photos of the note 10 when it came out to the ones they took with the iphone.

I feel the same - I’ve had Samsung for many years I got tired of the over saturated pics with Samsung. iPhone has that natural look if I want to edit it than I can. I prefer natural cause it looks better.
I've always complained about the frame drops in Samsung's footage, especially while panning! Thought it was solved by now, but too a friend's S10 to test and a simple 10s video had a lot of frame drops. Why is it so hard to find an Android phone with perfectly smooth video recording? Is that a GPU limitation?

I'm not an Apple fan but this year the iphone has vastly improved cameras which is a huge plus. If you are an Apple fan their cameras are something to chirp about. The batteries are also improved!
Yeah, begrudgingly this opinion is shared with a lot of android fans who don't want to admit this. I'm ok with the iphone being a top tier competitor now (for hardware). I'm not interested in the rigidity of the iphones software however, and it's truely an ugly phone in my opinion. Those bezels are still massive and the notch is an eye-sore still. But they get massive respect for actually catching up with camera tech after about 7 years.

As a videographer I can see the iPhone has better dynamic range and doesn’t oversharpen (which actually reduces resolution) and reproduces colour naturally which for editors allows for more flexibility in editing and applying filters. Also the image stabilisation is impressive on the 11 Pro. I’m definitely gonna go for the iPhone Pro Max

Both phones have it's plus an minus, but overall I would definitely go for the Note 10 any day. Apple is playing catch up, and in some ways succeed, in others still lack behind unfortunately. Both great phones. It's up to each users preferences in the end of the day.

I would say they are just neck and neck with slight color difference. Note 10 held up really well against iPhone though, I mean it uses same setup as S10.

I think in this comparison the Samsung did better than I've seen it do in some other recent ones vs. the Apple, but Apple prob still wins out overall. Though I was surprised to see how well the Samsung did with handling the light overexposure vs. Apple this time around.

The note 10 has been a underdog this year with the camera, over time the camera has got better and better.
I think both are so similar it really just boils down to personal preference, specially in a country like mine where both have similar price points. I was leaning more for note 10 but problem is iPhone has better deals going on with carriers so I will actually have shell out even more for note 10 because I am not getting as competitive discounts.
