Anytime you are on the water wear a life jacket. If you’re in the ocean have a flair gun or radio.
Or a locater beacon.
Radio is a must.
@@kgilliagorilla2761 They make life vests that have a radio beacon that is activated automaticaly by satelite because many parts of the ocean don't have cell service.

I have never understood anyone on the water not wearing a life jacket. I'm sure a lot of people have died because of it. And, in my opinion, they should be required for children and pets onboard.
Dept of Wildlife agent said he had never seen a drowning victim with a life jacket on.

Dude almost earned himself a Darwin Award. If he’s an “experienced” kayaker, he would have known to wear a life vest. Plus, any time you put yourself in a potentially problematic situation, you should have some means of contacting help.
You couldn’t pay me to kayak in the ocean. It is way too volatile for a little arm power to go against it for me
This husband/father goes:
-out into the Gulf of México,
-fishing alone on a small kayak,
-bad weather with strong northerly wind,
-NO life jacket
-no phone or radio
-no emergency beacon
What is wrong with you?! Really! Wife needs to smack some sense into this guy. He is lucky to be alive. And make sure his life insurance is current.

Rupert Murdoch/Fox News required women on camera to wear dresses or skirts instead of pantsuits to appear more feminine and appealing to traditional male viewers. It worked. Pantsuits are for feminists, liberals, journalists like Christiane Amanpour and Rachel Maddow and female anchors at a desk, and the evening news. Dresses/evening attire are for the eye candy, the person delivering the fluff pieces, freshly graduated female journalists, women who stand or who sit at a clear desk where their legs are in the frame, morning shows. Look and you'll see it.
