Other than the weight loss from removing g the interior what’s the advantages from fitting a cage into a track car? Is it purely safety or does it add to the rigidity of the shell?
Best golf r on UA-cam (for me ) But She needs : - a rear diff LSD and billet pinions I know what I'm saying - Xona turbo 7864 xc2 - intake manifold (ie) -Lpfp and hpfp upgrade -Mpi bigger Injectors - cnc head work with bigger valves and head work from bar-tec (they do that in Greece) - exhaust porting for better flow - forged rods and 83mm pistons with 23mm piston wrist pins and lower comp ratio to 9.3 -Upgraded oil pump see (arlows golf r Germany) they sell a oil pump upgrades - Engine oil cooler - bigger aluminium oil pan with extra 1l oil - haldex controller (ve veer) - syvecs ECU and a proper tune with a real no lift shift and als launch control - there's parts that are needed that I didn't mention because it's obvious And I let you do the suspension work my friend ... Good luck .
Incredible track build! Next up for my GTI Clubsport is the Integrated Engineering carbon intake & turbo inlet! Already have full custom turbo back exhaust. Coupled the Cobra Sport nonres catback with an Invidia highflow downpipe on sportcat, which is *SOUNDLY* recomended! Couldent be any happier! Huge sound and still less drone than original dp!!! 👍
For a roll cage to be FIA compliant our design must conform to the regulations set out in the relevant FIA Yearbook. This dictates the tube sizes and layout required. These cages are fully acceptable for most international events. Alternatively, we may ‘certificate’ a design that uses different tube sizes and alternative tube layouts to achieve additional strength, safety and bodyshell stiffness. These designs are then stress tested by an approved ‘house’ in order to prove their integrity. Generally, they are lighter and more comprehensive than ‘compliant’ cages. The FIA/MSUK certificate that accompanies them is recognised the world over and allows competition in all events. The above is from Custom Cages website. So in short, if it’s made to a homologated design and spec, it should be fine. But seeing as this car won’t see the type of event that a FIA cage is required in, it’s a moot point.
looks incredible, more of this mate
That gear stick reminds me of something 🤔
Enjoying the R updates, please keep them coming.👍👍
Totally incredible mate. Keep the step by step updates coming! Love seeing this come together. Looking forward to seeing the final outcome! 😍
Thanks so much mate! Must catch up soon

There’s one BIG thing you’re missing out on 😂 safety if he rolls it
it does make the chassis more rigid and stops it flexing as much, improving handling i believe
Its called a roll cage for a reason haha but yeah more rigid body
Anyone know what diffuser that is?

That's a crazy ass Job can't imagine your excitement 😳
Proper job 👌🏻

So is this cage FIA approved?

Just wow that’s auto arotica You don’t do things by half Can’t wait to see the car completed but enjoying the content
Super travail efficace 👍
Jesus I thought it'll be some little half cage? That's mental! So its a race car not a track car?
Amazing work,it’s going to be a cracker!!
Great job, what is a music ? Please write track name
Cannot wait to ride shotgun in this thing!! Looks crazy dude 💥
