that Diawa revros is a good reel , i have one in the 4000 series on a medium heavy rod , but wanted the 3000 series but they were not in stock at the time so i just got the 4000 series , i also have a 2500 series Diawa on medium action rod it doesn't hold much line i can almost cast all the line off when i cast it but my 4000 series holds plenty of line but it's also heavier
I knew he knew Martial Arts Weaponry & was a Master Sifu…see the downward cross strikes with the net? Master RGFM has mastered the Art of FishOn🙏🏾….and he’s unbeatable…..On idt….. ‘Deyyyyy-man’✊🏾😅
I love this channel. I love it so much that I’m watching it while sitting on porcelain throne inside my Airbnb on Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Been watching you for over 2 years. I have never seen any fisherman with such knowledge of fishing. And the skill to execute said knowledge. Truly amazing! God bless you RGTFM!
Mr Richard has such a great personality and when it comes to fishing he really knows what's he is doing I love the way he talks about fishing and you can learn from him he talks about fishing and at the same time teaches new ways to catch fish
Love an ultralite strung with 6lb line and carrying anything from trick worms, swivels and worm hooks, to beetlespins or hair jigs. You can finesse larger bass over the line strength with drag adjustments. I used to use ultralite a lot fishing shoals below our dam with swim baits, hellgrammites, trick worms, and lighter swim jigs. Did a lot of wade fishing down local creeks and exploring too. Just an easy setup to maneuver and fun as all can be. Good times.
Back in the 1970's there was a book titled "Night Crawler Secrets"that told how to "condition" night crawlers. We (my wife and my daughters and I) caught bunches of bass using the method described here. Get a couple of clean cottage cheese containers and punch some air holes in the lids with an awl. Tear up some newspaper in small strips and soak them in distilled or rain water. Then squeeze most of the water out and put some in the bottom of the container and lay 4 or 5 crawlers on the wet paper.Add a layer of wet paper and more crawlers until the lid will put slight pressure on the contents but not crush the worms. Put them in the fridge over night and they will swell up and get "mean". Keep them on ice until ready to use and rig them the same way as in the video. They will come alive when you hook them and the bass love them. I enjoy your videos every time you post and I tell everybody about your site. Old Elmo cracks me up!
Had a pretty rough day ,the wind blew 40 out of the south south west with my 364 ranger got a little wet. Seems like when the wind blows that hard I don't get the bites that I normally get. But I had a good week catching some good fish on a full moon in March had two days catching a limit of five with 3 over 5 and one over 8. I'm blessed to have the opportunity to have a week of good fishing at my age of 77 years and good health.
I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm holding the record for not catching anything for a very long time. Heading out tomorrow and I'm going to catch something cause you have taught us so much. Thank you so much
Been watchin for a while and love the videos! Ordered a shirt the other day you're like Bill Dance to me! My daughter is 4 and loves hearin when you give your slogan at the end of your videos you seem to be a real down to earth guy and do an excellent job of explaining your tackle and how to get on fish regardless of species. Keep it up! My best goes out to you and yours! WOOOOO!
Richard, correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think I've ever seen you do a video fishing with crickets. That's a prime bait up here in the blackwater creeks of NC, the robins (redbreasts) love em. Thanks for all the videos, I've told tons of people about you. I agree with a previous comment, I think you've got to be the most knowledgeable fisherman I've ever come across. Thanks for all the knowledge...I've learned a ton. God bless brother.
Love your channel. I learn something every video. Totally understand what you're talking about on the Tennessee. Been boating Pickwick since diapers. It can get rolling for sure. Extra wicked in an aluminum boat. Stay safe n keep pulling em in.
Me and my daddy caught a couple of nice bass today on spinner baits. One was about 2 and the other was around 3. Water was muddy and the only colors they would hit was chartreuse and orange.
That choppy water.whew. That's EXACTLY why I sold my 19' Tracker boat was too small for lake Norman. I bought a center console skiff boat and to date haven't had a problem. Love your show,. Be careful.
I really like the way you explain why you do what you do. You are not only an expert angler you are an exceptional teacher. I'm glad you made it back safe and sound. Wind against current is never fun...
You are the fisherman I aspire to become. I love your down home approach and no nonsense instruction is just easy for me to follow. I also appreciate that you are not afraid to share and profess your faith. Top 5 fisherman on UA-cam in my book. Thanks Richard and "go fishin' when it can, its guud fer ya!"
I wonder if Gene was a pro wrestler before he was a pro fisherman?? He’s got these tics, like he might have got tapped on the noggin a few times. Example @14:00 in this video. Lol. ;-D
I stumbled across your channel about 6 weeks ago and it was just a few short weeks after losing my father to a glioblastoma that was completely random. And I just want to say that the similarities between the way you two fish is uncanny. Even to the point to where I watched one of your older videos the other day and you started to sing the little rhyme fishy fishy in the brook come and bite My Little Hook, it may seem silly but it literally brought tears to my eyes and they were happy tears. So I just wanted to thank you for that, you really have no idea how much one single video can impact loads of people! Keep doing what you're doing Richard because don't forget, "THE SPORT OF FISHING, WELL ITS SECOND TO NONE!!! WOÓOOO
Sorry for your loss it's tough losing a loved one. I've lost 3 family members in one year. The kicker was people said I haven't seen you. Then asked how was your vacation I said 3 close family members to me died 😔
Nice spots. Fish fighting to get that worm and be on the Richard Gene the Fishing Machine Show. Have to tell em to go on after you release em, laying there gettin camera time
I don't know...but I have heard that there are catfish 🐱🐟...in that Tennessee River as big as a Volkswagen ? Would love to see you put one in the boat !🤣👍

I like the fact that Richard gets a hook-up, and most often, even before he sees the fish, tells you what he has on the hook.
Agree, and I love his antics/humor
Mr Richard has such a great personality and when it comes to fishing he really knows what's he is doing I love the way he talks about fishing and you can learn from him he talks about fishing and at the same time teaches new ways to catch fish

I went last Friday 18 the march 22. Light rig with 6lb line slip float rig using minnows caught 5.6lb big mouth.

Inject a little air in the trailing end with an insulin syringe. It causes it to ride a little higher than the head.
You be careful out there! We wouldn’t want to do without ya!
always look forward to your videos gene!

Throw some sticks! Love it

Once you feel that fish, how long before you set the hook? Seems if I wait too long then I gut hook the fish.
Ultralight is the best! Makes every fish feel like a trophy!
