    Got induced with a midwife with both pregnancies...one at 42 weeks and the other at 41. Never received pitocin but Foley only. The contractions were very very painful but it was extremely effective for me and put me into active labor within a couple hours each time. Everyone's experience is different but I think not being on pit helped because I could walk around with it and relieve pain positionally

    I just had a placental abruption on 8/11 from a foley bulb. I was 41 weeks and agreed to do a foley bulb induction even though I was terrified of it. I was so afraid to get the bulb that I was even crying in the office before the procedure. My doctor told me there was nothing to be afraid of. My doctor inserted the foley and inflated it and I started hemorrhaging right away. There was so much blood. I said goodbye to husband that was in the room with us. The hospital called a code c and rushed me to L&D down the hall. I had to have an emergency c section. Both my baby and I came close to dying. They said it’s extremely rare and they have never seen it happen before. I looked it up online and it appears only 3 cases have been documented.

    I had a foley bulb put in during my induction last month...not super comfortable getting it put in, what was most painful for me were the wild and super intense contractions it triggered. I was on all fours throwing up from the contraction pain and i was ready for an epidural but it finally fell out. My active labor contractions that I had later on were more manageable.

    Just want to say thank you for sharing that. My daughter who is 2,000 miles away having her first baby. She has her fiance with her. They do not have any family there. She is 37 weeks and because her blood pressure has gone up the doctor decided to induce her. We are texting each other and she is so scared to have this bulb placement. My heart is so tore up to know she will be in pain and there is no voice to help support her. I wish I could be there so bad but the baby's due date wasn't until the end of June. This video has helped me to understand what this induction procedure is. I have had 6 vaginal births and she is my baby. Thank you so much for sharing.

    I hated that Balloon so much 😩. I had Hypertension and had to do an induction 21 days before my Daughters due date (April 1). It seemed like forever for them to insert it lol. Talk about awkward. Then when it was inserted it was taped to my leg. I had to get up and keep going the bathroom and it made me feel so uncomfortable. Not to mention I had to get unhooked from monitors too. When they took it out, I don’t know what made me look but I regretted it 😫🤭😂😂. At 6:05 am April 2nd 2023. all of the agony was a thing of the past when I met my Baby Girl. She was 4lbs 15oz 🙏🏽❤️. She was worth it all

    I had 5 unsucessful attempts of inserting foley and then I adamantly refused it when my OB insisted to try again. It was a horrible experience for me. Then they finally put me on pitocin drip.

    I just got induced with the balloon. STM. It did not hurt for me. My OB used a speculum to instert the balloon and that was the worst part. I actually did not feel the foley balloon instertion itself or when the OB inflated it. I just had painful contractions right after. I have been doing pelvic floor physio since 18 weeks. I think thats why i have not had problems with the cervical sweeps, cervical checks or this induction.

    I was also concerned because one of the videos I saw our listen to send that for steps were involved in putting the bulb in. My first child was pulled out with forceps and it was one of the most painful things I've ever had done to me the doctor had wanted me to have a 6 pound baby but I had almost a 9 lb baby was 19 years old

    I can't understand people who'd make you feel bad for your reasons to be induced. I started a new job (in the U.S.) when I was 33 weeks pregnant. I completely understand you. Also, being pregnant is hard. Some women have elective C-sections just for that reason. So, don't let people make you feel bad about it!

    • @AshleyReavesFit
      @AshleyReavesFit  Рік тому

      Everyone is different, but it was painful the whole time for me. I got an epidural after about 5 hours and that obviously helped. Good luck to you both!

  • @alee550
    @alee550 Рік тому +3

    I got one done after days of Cytotec not working or dilating me. So the next step was a cook catheter or a balloon catheter. Same thing. It was the single most awful painful experience. Even worse than my gallbladder attack. Worse than childbirth. I'd push a baby out 10x over before getting the balloon. It was pure torture/suffering. I've never heard myself scream the WAY I did when they did it. The only thought in my head while they were doing it was how can I end my life to end this suffering. I wanted to throw myself out of the window. I'm not suicidal, but the pure torture of this makes u consider things u never did before. My biggest BIGGEST piece of advice to woman who need to get this is to consider getting an epidural BEFORE they do the balloon on you. I WISH I had done one. At the end though and I want people to take away from all this, this, the balloon was the only thing that actually helped dilate me and move my labor forward. So I don't regret getting it. I regret not getting an epidural first.
