    Well explained. It has to have contact with matter and then register points that would correspond with the shape of a human. If people can ‘see’ these shadows or shapes (that are allegedly ghosts) then they would not be in the IR spectrum as they would be in our visible spectrum!!! ( I studied physics , mainly optics as an optician). It’s science, it’s fact.

    100% spot on. Although I don't have SLS gear..and unlikely I ever will. I KNOW something about electronics (city & Guilds) I KNOW beyond any doubt that IR DEMANDS an object to bounce off or detect. IF and its a huge IF a ghost is in front of that rather clever detector, that ghost HAS TO BE SOLID! As the good doctor said...it can't bounce back from a none solid....anything!. I've even seen fakers using PIR sensored gear like a door annunciator (goes ding dong when someone enters a room etc) to detect ghosts...the same rule applies but in PIR that moving 'thing' also has to be WARM...not cold as a ghost is supposed to be. Nice one Dr Grey...don't be too hard on Dan, he does his best 🙂

    • @theoccultlifemedia
      @theoccultlifemedia 7 місяців тому

      I/r can see shadows (which are not solid objects) it doesn’t relay depth as light does bouncing off objects. The detector is perceiving emitted I/r. The I/r light grid is is sending an hide of I/r out as is passes through some objects and bounces off others. Infrared sees things the human eye cannot. Air movement, heat, electromagnetic field. NASA uses it to take pictures of things we cannot perceive with the naked eye or regular cameras.

    So I think what you're saying is that the Kinect 2 is detecting ghosts because they're using their EMF energy to directly manipulate the bytes stored in memory, altering the depth data that the Kinect ends up processing, right? Thanks for clearing that up, Dr Grey.

  • @vultar9999
    @vultar9999 7 місяців тому +1

    I have nothing to say about ghosts, but I was on a game testing team working with launch titles for the Kinect 1 and was part of a team creating data to help improve the Kinect 2's reading. We used to slowly hide behind chairs because you could peel off your skeleton and the game would keep going (our game would rig winning for kids so if you were short, aka sitting, you could do nothing and still finish). We used that for time-based achievements, Other times you'd lose control because some piece of furniture had stolen your skeleton. It was fun.
    We always thought chasing kinect 'ghosts' out of the room would have made a fun game.

  • @Athos42
    @Athos42 7 місяців тому

    Soo, some theory-crafting: for the Kinect to be a ghost detector, the ghost must either bend light of the visual spectrum (but not Infra-Red) around itself like a Predator. Or it must consist of an exotic matter which is transparent in the visual spectrum but non-transparent for Infra-Red light, like very high-quality window glass. In both cases, the Kinect should detect the ghost, but it would not be visible to the human eye. But in both cases the ghost must be solid, either it would not reflect IR at all back to the Kinect. In both cases, the ghost should be clearly visible on an IR camera, so why not use this instead of a Kinect.
    Don't get me wrong, I am 100% sure in what you told us several times, Dan. You are right. This is only a play of thought. 😊

    I've been in to photography for nearly 40 years. In the late 80's I had a camera that had I/r built into the front and although it was 35mm film, the i/r helped with close objects, this was pre digital btw. It did manipulate the photo, and at times did produce ghosting and sometimes blurriness in static objects.
    Some photos would produce fantastic " ghost" pictures 🤣 When in practice it was mostly device error, usually when an object in the I/r range was static, and an object in the background is moving so the sensor would add blur to most of the foreground.
    My point is, technology is pretty crap, even today. Add algorithms and sensors......... = bollocks big time.
    Go back to old school 35mm, analogue days, ( where no tech is present) and you will see a big difference.
    I will add, video is the same. Optical zoom is better than digital zoom. That's why doorbell cameras videos are always stupid evidence on tiktok (no zoom and fixed focal point on near objects) so ghosts always appear in background.......... sorry it's early am.........🛏

    Great! Exactly what applying logic got me to. The IR footage that you see is what the Kinect sees. If YOU don't see a humanoid shaped figure in the IR footage, then the Kinect won't detect a humanoid shaped figure in the IR footage and thus it won't have any reason to project a stick figure.

    I'm no expert, but for me another nail in the coffin of the Kinect as a ghost-camera is the fact it uses IR at all. Surely if the IR in the Kinect could detect a ghost, then the IR lights the ghost hunters have on their main cameras would illuminate the ghost and they wouldn't need a Kinect anyway 🤷👻

    Awesome video. Glad you broke it down to us. But what gets me, no matter what the designers say, or the ones who actually created this device say, people are always going to tell them, the creators, they're wrong. Like, before someone tries to respond claiming they know it works because their favorite channel uses it, and it works, you're too simple minded to think logically. Lol. No matter what, viewers are always going to try and argue about why it does or doesn't work, as if they were the creators of the devices in question.

    It's weird, before I saw your videos debunking Kinects I didn't even know what they were, so I didn't know exactly how it worked, but I figured that it would have to be something solid and visible for it to detect it, I didn't know whether it had to be a human or not, but I was at least close to the truth. But apparently we got people who were aware of the thing, who still don't understand how it works, lol! I mean it should be obvious now, if YOU can't see it, then the Kinect also can't see it, lol!

    That was a whole lot of jargon when you could have just said "the sensor won't detect anything that is not solid."
    Invisibility while being solid is possible by manipulating the light so that it mimics the environment, but in that case it would still be detectable by a lazer or infrared beam.
    If ghosts are just people with invisible bodies how is it possible for their physical body and "ghost" body to both exist? Also how does their consciousness transfer to a new invisible body? And if they have invisible bodies how are they able to pass through things or go undetected by a person with a visible body, wouldn't they either bump into them at some point or be able to follow the sounds of their movement until they cornered them?
    And what about the people who die and don't come back with invisible bodies as ghosts? Why would some people cone back while others don't? Wouldn't everyone who dies be chilling with their loved ones once they came back as ghosts?
    Anyway enough rambling from me I just don't see it as logical that ghosts have solid invisible bodies.
