I am more than happy to fight my own battles. I am working hard behind the scenes to tie up all the legal knots. Beat stars have been helpful in this respect. If you want to help the situation by showing support share this video far and wide when it drops!!
To Kujo and any associates - I have more than enough weight now to seek compensation for a video that was wrongly removed, for future losses, attempted defamation, fraudulent misinfomration. This video is my way of venting and putting a full stop on the situation, but if I see any further attempts to try and extort money or drag my name through the dirt I won't be so nice, after this I just want to move on."
Beatstars are providing kujo with the lawyers. How can they be also be helping ren? Do not trust the music industry. Playing both sides. Kujo is probably just a pawn to bring ren down. They do not want independents. Or is it just all coincidence?

Kujo did Ren dirty, even when Ren repeatedly went above and beyond to rectify a problem of Kujo's making. It all boils down to the fact that Kujo stole a sample and sold it as his own work. He deserves nothing for that, yet he was offered a massive boost to his career (working with Ren on a new song, with a 50/50 financial split) and he still turned it down. I thought that was insanity, but now I realise that he's following his "standard approach" and didn't know what to do when Ren through him a kindness curve ball.
Everything that comes next for Kujo is deserved. I dread to think how many up-and-coming artists he's f'd over, that don't have the support that Ren does.
Kujo is an artist alright... A scam artist...

@mellifluousaNow Kujo should apply everything he said about that sample with his beat to his beat and Ren's song, album, video, promotion, etc. His beat, though an integral part of the original version of the song, is replaceable, and does not, in any way, make the song.
And as far as samples go, no one is knocking him for sampling. They're after him for selling his beat with an uncleared sample as 100% his own work (which was explicitly against the terms of the contract), lying about it when confronted and saying that it was Ren's responsibility to clear it, and refusing to take responsibility for the fact that his lack of due diligence is ultimately all on him, as should be the fees that the sample owner is now seeking.
He either really, really lacks the ability to think critically and comprehend the difference between unlicensed and licensed samples AND incapable of understanding that the publishing (that he may or may not be owed to him now because of what he did) is not Ren's problem or responsibility, or he's playing dumb to dodge responsibility and continue to attack Ren's credibility. The fact that he cannot see the parallels between what he said about the sample being a fractional part of the beat and his beat being a fractional part of the song, and an even smaller fractional part of the video and album is so frustrating. That he thinks he's owed anything above and beyond publishing is ludicrous.
And after seeing an interview from 2 years ago with Kujo about beef he had with another artist, I'm starting to think it's a combination of not being very good at critical thinking AND being envious when someone else uses his beat (legally and with full permission) and then blows up a little bit. He thinks he's entitled to a cut, even though he's already signed away those rights by selling an unlimited license.
It's sad.
He turned into the thing he himself was fearful of.

Kujo did him dirty. Ren will show him that his community is more powerful and worth so much more than money. It's really greed that is breaking so many people's neck and thiis Ren & Kujo situation shows it once more. I don't think anyone else would've ever made offers like him, when Ren didn't owe him anything and showed a big heart despite Kujo treating him like garbage. I feel so bad for Ren but I'm glad he is staying positive and making something creative out of all this. I can't wait to hear his new songs
I'm almost sure, if he just contacted Ren about needing money (if that was the reason why Kujo did what he did), Ren probably would've helped him out. I mean after all this, he even offered to make a song with him and do 50/50. I don't understand this man at all. If they did that and everything goes well, I'm also sure they could've done more together in the future. Now Kujo doesn't get anything. The beat from sick boi was really cool, but who really made that thing blow up was Ren himself, his story and his supporters. If I understood correctly, Ren paid the money for the beat and all rights to it so he was allowed to do with it whatever he wanted and Kujo sold his rights with that and whatever Ren earned from the beat/his song, would've been all his. I hope this stress is not messing up his health
This guy was literally trying to extort Ren for more money. He sold a beat with a stolen sample. He broke the terms of his contract by doing so. First of all, Ren is too kind and gave this guy way too many olive branches. The fact that this guy turned down an offer from ren to do a 50-50 split on a new song is nuts to me. Talk about someone being consumed by greed and being shortsighted. I’m mad about it and I’m so heartbroken for Ren. The gaslighting this guy did to Ren is the most manipulative awful thing! Please don't worry - I've no doubt that Sick Boi 2.0 will be bigger and better 😎 The best art takes on a life of it's own, and all Kujo has achieved by doing this is prove a lot of what Ren was saying in the piece. This is all part of Sick Boi's provenance now 😊
Do you remember the Banksy piece that was sold at auction and then almost immediately shredded? The "destruction" that horrified many actually made it more powerful, more successful, and a much stronger statement. I think that this debacle will do the same for Sick Boi.
Also, as both a doc and a fellow Fibromite (like you, I also have a few other chronic health issues, too), I'd be willing to bet that your journey with chronic illness has (like mine) taken many twists and turns along the way - and, at times, it's felt hopeless. Sick Boi has that path, that we've both walked, in it's history now, along with redevelopment, growth, and overcoming the harshest of adversities (which feels rather apt just after Ren has received cutting edge, life-changing treatment). Along with it's original message, it now also shouts from the rooftops that we CAN fight back and that hope IS forever present, even though we might not always be able to see it, or view it as a positive.

We all know that Sick Boi means a lot to Ren not just because people's responding to it make Ren feel less alone, but because people's positive response to it gave meaning and reason to all the suffering he went through. He said he desperately needed it to be justified. So it is not just an emotional thing for Ren, it has also spiritual and even existential level.
But... it is what it is. The song is down on platforms, but it went up to the stratosphere, man, straight into legend...

All I'll say is that his answers were disrespectful and immature.
Wouldn't it be amazing if Ren reached out to the Bulgarian choir... who are already a little upset at Kujo for stealing and selling their music... and asked to do a live collaboration with them.

I've only been chased down once on a UA-cam comment on a Ren video (seven sins) by a true hater and I went back to it because the name sounded familiar.... kujobeats was the name of the hater and tried to "clue me in" that Ren lies about making his own music. I told him that was cute, because Ren put out a video on Patreon where he's producing Seven Sins and then he shows Connor, who loses his damn mind. After I told him that, he shut up lol. This bro is a problem, and at first I felt sorry for him... But now, he deserves everything that's about to head his way...
When you reach out to Ren, be sure to let him know that we all feel his pain over this issue, but know that Karma is on his side! Ren - epitome of 'Speak softly and carry a big stick'! 💪🏻❤🐀🤗

I love supporting independent artists. So when I got to the part in Ren's video where he proposed working on a new track with Kujo, I was 100% here for it. I was ready to go subscribe to his channel, give his stuff a listen and help support him whether I liked his stuff or not. But the way he responded, and how this whole thing spiraled... Kujo himself killed my desire to help him out in any way. Now I'm 100% here for Thursday instead! lol

Finally! Gave up hope. Okay, halfway through and worth waiting for. Your reactions to each twist and turn is Everything!
Kujo and the BeatStars attorney underestimated Ren. Kujo is a fool for not taking the creative counter offer to create a new song with a 50:50 split, but the lawyer probably advised against it, since they only get paid on a settlement with Sick Boi.
But now that Ren took the nuclear option, they get nothing, other than the original publishing split. I can almost guarantee the new version of Sick Boi will do even better than the original and it gives Ren’s team an excuse to release a special anniversary edition of the album. And now the original CDs/Vinyls/Cassettes will go up in value since they will be collectors items.
But most importantly, I’m glad Ren went public with this so that it can help other artists and producers against the greed and shadiness in the industry. Even a lyric in Sick Boi talks about how the industry is cut throat.
You should watch the end of Anthony Ray’s reaction to this right when Ren announces #KujoBeatDown! He says the best way to great music out of a rapper is to make them angry. I think the song and video will be epic! Ren is a nice guy, but he’s also a man of principle that won’t be stepped on or taken advantage of.
I actually have a cd, so I will always have sick boi, but I'm more interested in the production ren creates for it.

Kujo turning down that collab was such a huge mistake. Could have made his career and flipped the whole script on this thing.

And King Dotta was actually in the premiere for this video when Ren dropped it, and was backing Ren 💯. It was great to see. Dotta also did some reactions to Ren's stuff and is pushing the beat down too. That battle with Ren and the way it was handled means he's got Ren's back now. It's great to see.
It wouldn't surprise me if Ren reached out to arrange a live collab with the Bulgarian Choir... maybe even recorded live in Bulgaria. Think about it... they're pissed off at Kujo for selling their music without permission. Ren is pissed at Kujo too. So a full-on collab would be instant karma!

Why is no one focusing on the fact that Beatstars is legally representing Kujo? Is this not like a huge red flag? So Beatstars is trying to shake down Ren? Maybe Beatstars didn’t handle the process of clearing the choir sample correctly? Or their vague contract caused the problem? Why are they representing Kujo? There’s gotta be more to this…
I'm curious about this too. If that's Kujo's only legal counsel, it really doesn't look good on them, especially considering the stolen sample breaches their own terms. I'd say it was a conflict of interest if true.
Not an expert, but I feel like Kujo probably went to Beatstars with an issue on getting paid. That would make some sense. When the problem turned out to be more complicated - and in breach of the Beatstars contract - it definitely feels like a conflict of interest. I don't know why they would have continued like this.

On Rens Instagram, he has a photo from the kujo beat down video, I believe, and the music is the Bulgarian choir sample that had been stolen by kujo. I am soo hoping Ren got it cleared to be in the full song. That would be a huge fuck you to Kujo and the industry.

The level of cool and maturity Ren showed during this entire situation is such an inspiration, to loose ones temper in the end and letting some words fry is a natural reaction most of us would have turned to much sooner then Ren did. And even then Ren kept it on a good level in my opinion. Can't wait to see what his anger has created to clense himself of all these feelings of frustration, sadness and anger that was building up inside of him during this ordeal. No matter what, I know it will be great and it will serve its purpose.
Pains me to see how much this situation has hurt Ren but he is turning it all around and making Sick Boi even better ❤

I swear, the more times I hear the story the less I understand how it all went from Kujo selling a beat with a stolen sample and the owners going “oi that’s ours!” to Kujo and his attorney demanding money from Ren as if he was the thief. It’s like there’s a huge gap and I suspect it’s between Kujo’s ears 👀
Now I am just very impatiently waiting for Kujo Beat Down 🔥 Cause you’re right. It’s the nicest guys you need to be scared of. Ren is very passionate about his art, empathetic, and devoted to doing good in the world, so he uses his art to speak up against the wrongs he sees. I can imagine someone making a movie of this. The Kujo character is written as a sandwich short of a picnic; his lawyer would be written as a shyster with the girlfriend played as very manipulative.
Hell, I think you are right. Bloody Nora. He probably did get the money, or the ad revenue at least. Wings of Pegasus has recently discovered a similar copyright/revenue issue on yt with scammers lip syncing stolen songs and images and registering as their own.
Technically, I do not think it is illegal to defame someone. If it was, the police would be full time arresting people. It is a Civil Wrong, not a Criminal Offense.
Ed to add. I like your term 'reflection of self'. I have said in a few other reactions that I felt K was putting things he recognised in himself onto Ren. Your term is a clean and succinct way of putting those thoughts. Thanks.

Scam,fraud,libel and defamation of character could be topped off with financial and mental damages. Ren makes the gentleman's decision to remove the problem and deal with it his way. Diss and recreate.
Kujo dropped the ball with how he handled this. Especially rejecting Ren’s 50/50 olive branch
I have been in the building trades for almost 2 decades now. When someone decides that they need money, they will abandon all moral integrity to get that money. I also knew a subcontractor who did a ton of pot. He was always desperate for money to the point where he kept trying to cash a check from me every month or so for almost 6 months until I told him about it and to figure it out and stop it. These people won't stop unless they get all of Rens money from everything.
Kujo is playing checkers and Ren is playing 4D chess.
It seems he LEGALLY bought the bulgarian choir sample kujo STOLE and is legally using it in tge Sick Boi remake and maybe the Kujo Beat Down track.
Kujo doesn't know how smart Ren is..
Judging by his Instagram it appears Ren got the rights to use the Bulgarian Chior presumably in the beatdown track. Also would not surprise me if he gets them live in new version. The right people get paid and Kujo looses. Win win win.
What Kujo didn't understand was that Ren never NEEDED that beat to make a great song! One of my favorite videos of Ren isn't even a music video or live music video, it's from one of his Twitch streams from last year when he was promoting Sick Boi the album prior to release. The video is on Hexenkind1's channel as it is a clip from a Twitch live and it is titled Ren's Spontaneous Stream Jam! It's Ren streaming on Twitch with an Unplugged accoustic guitar, sitting at his desk, eating dinner at the same time and he sings several songs and it just feels like an intimate concert with an amazing artist that doesn't need anything except himself and his guitar..... Honestly, I love watching new reactors react to that video so they can see the talent, charisma, and personality of Ren and they are always blown away!
Ren more then likely bought the beat cuz he WAS in treatment and it was less time consuming. I haven't heard the original beat from before Ren rearranged it and added to it for Sick Boi but I'm willing to bet the guitar in that beat is 100% added to the beat by Ren.
Anyway, I'm glad Ren didn't give in cuz I feel like this is going to set a precedent for anyone that thinks they can pull this crap or something similar with Ren because he is so kind, humble, genuine and caring and they think that makes him someone they can manipulate or use..... this should show anyone that he will stick to his guns if you want to just be greedy and rude.
