    A big understated reason for the defence issues is Mike Brown leaving last year. He was the unofficial defence coach & we haven’t been the same since.

      @@uno1728 Warriors offense is a modernized version of the triangle. For any game state, there are several possible options that will lead to a successful shot. Too many for Kuminga, who is not a geek like the rest of the Warriors, except for Wig, and including KD. You have to be a basketball savant to unlock the championship power. Even CP3 as booster pak cannot raise JK's on court awareness to the level it needs to be at to get even sixth man minutes. So he ends up doing a lot of buffering, when he should just be running around jumping over people, and catching 5 lobs a night.
      Because Golden State does not value athleticism in their players the same way the GM's do. The pick that was Wiseman should have been LaMelo. If anything of Lonzo is left, then he's got to get on a jet to Frisco.
      Sigh. But there is nothing left, is there? Downer.

      That's literally it. They need to let those young guys play and make a couple of trades for size and fresher legs. They blew a 21 point lead tonight to the Clippers, and it exposed their issues. By the time the postseason rolls around, those veteran guys legs are not going to be very fresh, and I suspect they will lose more leads due to fatigue. I understand that core had a great run, but the only one who is still in a high prime is Steph Curry.

    I think the Warriors dynasty is over. They just don't have it this year. They won 4 titles in 8 seasons and that is a good run. I see the Warriors winning their next title in 2063.

    You clearly had to change the coach before this season started. If you keep Kerr, and some "key" pieces leave - they will still suck. Like I said, you needed to change the coach and see where the team is. Now that the coach isn't changed you have way more questions about this team after this season.
    Who cares if Klay leaves? Who cares when Poole was traded? You got the same coach and the team kind of sucks right now. You had to change the coach first - then the lineup to figure out where the team is.

    Good they didn’t give Klay the max because shit we knew it wasn’t worth the move but they would have been screwed with Draymond and Klay having max extensions.

    They're not cooked, they just need a REAL BENCH. The guys they have coming off the bench cannot in any way compare to the classic Warriors teams. And because the League has adapted to and COPIED the Curry Revolution, they can't win on Steph alone.

    Poole was the 3rd leading scorer on the Warriors for the past 2 seasons. Even the year they won the chip. When Steph or Klay didn't have it going, Poole came in and still gave them production being the 3rd option.
    What's even scarier is at some point Curry is going to get injured and miss time. What happens to them then?
    In the past 2 years they had Poole who filled in for Curry or Klay when they were out and he was great. Last season he gave them 26ppg when Curry was out and they won more games then they lost.
    They're going to be shii out of luck when Curry goes down and it's coming. Just a matter of time!

    • @chiggsytube
      @chiggsytube 6 місяців тому

      Stop it, Poole gave them buckets back at the other end. When Curry missed time and Poole was on the team, scored more and defended less. Curry's range spread the floor and that's what allowed the back cutting game to thrive. The defense they played meant that you had to settle for a lot of bad shots, and the pace they played at meant that you put up a ton of them. Replace Curry with Poole? Now his man gonna shoot like Steph.
      What Kerr has not been able to implement is an offensive switch we saw with say, the Showtime Lakers at the end of the 80's, when they became a halfcourt powerhouse, instead of the run and gun style they had earlier. So if the system doesn't change then the players have to.
      Something to think about: This historic amount of luxury tax being paid was seen as being Ok because of the new stadium. Now, I admit to being quite curious, how they are monetizing people at that level? Why is it so lucrative? Strongly feel the answers will be displeasing.
