I’m very disappointed the club allowed it to get to this point, some hard questions need to be asked. And if it’s true minthe was threatened with being put in the development squad to pressure him to move that’s not a good look for the club

If we need to sell, we need to sell. We can't be constantly keeping players who don't want to leave.
@@BaronSpamedi I agree on the need to sell, but we recruited a teenager which must have included the idea of playing in the premier league. It’s not his fault we need to balance PSR and it won’t help future recruitment I’d we have a reputation of treating teenage players badly. I also think aside from the optics that it’s not the way I want the club to treat people, especially teenagers. So I hope it’s not what happens if it is then we need to take action to learn and make sure it doesn’t happen again. If any other business left it that late to address such a large shortfall their would be huge questions asked of the senior management
@@oliwoodstar football is a business. Academy players are bought and sold all the time. Well, not from our academy because for years it's not been very good. That's why we're having to buy young players in to sell them on.
In an ideal world, where Ashley hadn't left us with a squad worth next to nothing and PSR didn't exist, maybe we could afford to be excessively sentimental. Unfortunately it's not an ideal world.
Minteh has nothing to moan about. We've brought him to the Premier League. He's probably just got a tasty little payrise, and he's gone to a Premier League club who've had an excellent track record for developing young players and getting them big moves.

Not sure that I agree with the analysis. We could have played it safe with PSR and finished mid table the last 2 seasons. The fact the club are pushing the rules to the limits is to be praised as it’s the only way to break the cartel. Man City didn’t get where they are by playing it safe, nor did Chelsea 😂

The club will do whatever they want to do. The fans won’t agree with everything they do, I certainly don’t. My biggest concern is Howes in game management and other football related decisions. Fix the away form as well. Prove to the fans that you can win the biggest games.

Is the problem that Eddie wants too much control? We need to get a DOF in and there needs to be a clear plan of who makes the decisions on what. It's a worrying situation. I am a bit nervous about what happens going forward. Eales is supposed to be talking, lets hope it's soon.

Imo we were forced and pushed into an embarrassing awkward scramble due to PL FFP. Luckily it hasn’t dinted wor first team…look oot for Minteh with a point to prove ala Chris Wood when Brighton come to Toon😮😂

For me, we had to do what we did regarding transfers, stressful and all that but we swerved a massive hurdle, we can push on to an extent now, there will always be enquiries about our better players, but in time we will also be looking at other clubs better players, Darren Eales done his job, as late as it was, if he had not, and we get a 10 point deduction would his job have been on the line?
Anyway if we can get some quality in then brilliant, i personally think we will, and we will have some squad, add, Trippier and Almiron most probably going, i still believe great things will happen at NUFC.

They possibly could have sold Wilson and Trippier in January, but they were probably concerned about selling those two in the middle of an injury crisis.

Can you please ask ManU if they have put a "notice period" in Dan Ashford's contract? Sir Jim Rad reckons these clauses are unfair and he hasn't heard about them before. Dan might be able to leave a joint a new club 😊

This could have really serious if they did indeed try to sell Gordon to Liverpool that’s disgraceful if it’s true
According to the press, Liverpool tried to unsettle Gordon. Possibly, this was thanks to the Premier League and Sky leaking the information that we had a deficit to settle, prior to the PSR deadline.
Newcastle told Liverpool to sling their hook because their offer was derisory.

Plus, we aren't very easily going to be in a position to stop the 'big' clubs trying to unsettled our players until our revenue is such that we can pay bigger wages, and/or we start regularly finishing in the Champions League places.
If we end up selling a big name we just need to make sure we get big money, like Villa did when they sold Grealish.

At the end of the day, if someone offered £100m for Bruno, and he decided to go, I'd be sad to see him go but if that meant we could then spend a couple of hundred million on new players, I'd get over it.
I remember all the fans twisting on at Keegan after he sold Andy Cole. We went on to buy Shearer.
Great video as always guys. I’ll probably get destroyed for putting this perspective forward but I do wonder if the club have played an absolute blinder over this PSR story. January put it out there that in order to meet PSR rules we might have to sell one of our jewels. Next let the story run ever since the season has finished and when Bruno’s release clause becomes active fooling the vultures that we are desperate. Vultures start circling expecting to get a jewel on the cheap whilst all time Minteh sale was the plan which no one expected and also one of our home grown was also the plan. Then the club can sell to the media and the supporters we managed to hold on to our jewels. I honestly believe the Gordon story was part of the plan just to ensure the panic in the media seemed real. Our owners were never going to mess this up because it would have affected PIF’S reputation and their culture does not allow this to happen. Just my perspective. Keep the videos coming.

We've lost Anderson and Minteh but by going over gained the more proven Barnes and Livramento so it kind of balances out tbf when u get past the surprise of being in this position

They tried to sell Amiron months ago. He wouldnt leave. They possibly would have shifted Wilson and/or Trippier too, but decided not to because of the injury crisis, which also drastically reduced the number of fit players available to sell anyway.
Theyve been trying to sell the likes of Frazer and Hendricks etc for well over a season. No one wanted to buy them, and/or they didnt want to leave and get less wages.
Minteh refused a move to Lyon.
Im sure there were some squeaky bums, but its not like they havent tried to sell players.

It’s blatantly obvious the club expected Bruno’s release clause to be triggered and panicked when it wasn’t. The profit from £100m Bruno sale would’ve been £62m, the profit from Anderson + Minteh was £61m, not a coincidence.
Yup but it's where we are now with the Cartel manipulating the rules. They have had an agenda against us from day one. Slowly, slowly, catch a monkey. We will get there eventually and all the entitled journalists and supporters of the Cartel can then get stuffed.
Where does £62m come from... The profit would be way more than that more like £80m I think

@@hjc9912 We signed him in Jan 2022 for £40m, the 4.5 year contract was amortised for 1.5 years before we then signed an extension in Oct 2023 for 5 years. He then played another year. His book value by now is more like £21m (40/4.5*1.5=26, 26/5*4=21), which give a £79m profit if sold.
Of course, this doesn't refute your point with the club expecting to sell Bruno, just the coincidence thing is not that much of a thing and there could be more to it
@@internetm8 I’m not an accountant for a football club mate so yeah my maths was basic but as you say the point stands. Worryingly amateur running of a club when you’re expecting to sell your best player so you can fund a window of £105m on players who won’t start, and then turn down £13m for a 33 year old who’s on £120k a week.

The transfer window only opened two weeks ago. If Minteh had accepted Lyon, it wouldnt have felt quite so rushed.
Imagine what Gordon must of thought, his club trying to force him out. Im astonished this was allowed to happen, who ever done this doesn't have the clubs best interests at heart. My prediction is Gordon will ask to leave. Being forced into loosing 2 potentially very good first team players in Anderson and mintah and now maybe even Gordon and replacing them with 2 sunday league goalkeepers and a Bournemouth reject, deary me. The club is broken.
