My right arm is covered in a Red Rising sleeve. My dogs are named Darrow and Kalindora. To say this is my favorite series is an understatement, so glad to hear people reflecting on Darrow in the ways you did at the end. Favorite scenes: prologue of DA “here I am, the motherfucking consequence”, Cassius dueling the Raa “my honor remains”. And when at the end of LB he drops the au, he’s simply Cassius Bellona. And Diomedes kneeling in front of Gaia in Lightbringer “gold has failed its duty”. So many awesome moments!
@@austinkane3366 omg we need to see this sleeve! These are all ICONIC moments. Pierce Brown knows how to load on the drama but also how to make it subtle and so poignant!
Ugh, that message at the end about leadership reminded me again of why I love this series so much. I still tear up when thinking about Cassius. I could listen to people talk about this series FOREVER.
I’m late to this party but I’m also absolutely obsessed. Like in my top 5 series of all time. I was actually surprised to learn Pierce Brown wasn’t a veteran because of how well he depicted the feelings of battle/war/leadership through Darrow. My husband and I are both veterans and he isn’t much of a reader (I think mostly to annoyed me lol) and he listened in to chunks of Golden Son and Morning Star and he turned to me and said “that’s the most accurate depiction of the feelings around battle I’ve ever heard”. I agree and I’m dying for a Red God release date
Wow this is a really cool perspective! He does write such amazing scenes I have no idea where he gets the inspiration from. Would LOVE to interview him and ask!
You guys I just finished Light Bringer last night and I’ll never be okay. Cassius’ arc is incredible. But thank god now I can finally watch this!! And cannot wait for Red God 😭
Ladies! I was introduced to and convinced give Red Rising a go by y’all! And let me say, yes to ALL the thoughts and feels. Also, I have NEVER cried during a book but Pax Au Telemanus (gotta go full name) and Ragnar had me weeeeeeeping! Bloody damn Pierce. 😭 Thanks again for always sharing your hearts and experiences!!
This came at just the right time, I needed some one to help me get through the black hole in my life that is finishing Lightbringer. Crying along here 😅 I honestly don’t know what else to read next!
I just finished Lightbringer today and was extremely disappointed at the ending- I did not know there will be a final Book- I thought it was done and I’m like what- it just ends there. So happy it was not the end. This was a great series. Sevro is my favorite and the brotherly bond him and Darrow have ❤! Ugh Cassius-nooo - that and Ragnor were the worst… I have so many feelings about this series.. I still can’t believe there is another book- I can’t wait!!
Oh no! If you thought it was the last book, that must have been so stressful! Oh man, Piece knows how to just punch you in the gut emotionally! We are so desperate for Red God!
I've read the first 3 so far and absolutely love the series. Have to mute now, though, but will let the video play in the background so I can support you guys (most of all) and this series that I'm also super passionate about. Enjoy to all the readers that are all caught up :D
Favourite series of all time, discovered you two by searching for creators who made content about RR and saw Madi(?)s tattoos and immediately followed! Love your thoughts! Have you guys read the greenbone saga and would you consider doing a video/podcast similar to this on that trilogy?? ❤️🐺
This series finally ended a reading slump I thought I'd never get out of. I was afraid I'd never find another series that would literally absorb me, but Pierce managed that. The first book had been sitting on my shelf for a while already because once I've heard someone say LOTR fans would like it. I was hooked right from the start, I couldn't understand how a character's death (Eo) after knowing them for such a short time could bring out such strong emotions. I have never cried so hysterically while reading like when Ragnar died. Cassius' beef with Darrow over Julian wasn't sitting right with me and I was so happy when they teamed up again. Just to get my hear ripped out at the end of Light bringer. Lysander has to die, there is nothing that this hypocritical piece of garbage could do to change my mind. I can't wait for Red God.
I stopped watching this vid at the 1:34 mark, at the spoiler warning. I’ve heard great great things about this book and currently reading it. Ngl, I’m struggling but I’ve heard so many good things that I’m going to continue
Red Rising is my favourite series, can’t wait for Red God!
Same!!! It's going to blow our minds we already know. In Pierce Brown we trust!

Absolutely adore the first trilogy! The amount of heart and ATTACHMENT is just beyond insane. I need to pick up Iron Gold.....
Totally agree! The ongoing series is even more complex with amazing character work and political specificity even beyond the first trilogy!

The way he weaves this theme throughout the series is spectacular!

I'll come back when I'm done! I'm halfway thru Dark Age! This has been some of my favorite reading this year🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Red Rising is PEAK reading! ENJOY!
This is a great deep dive! I will watch the 2nd half of the video once I finish the series! Gotta get to Iron Gold!
Fair enough! Stoked for you to pick it up. The first three are GOATED!
This video is EVERYTHING. Also my favorite series ever. I try to force it on everyone I know to read it!!
We do the exact same! It's so special to us!

It is such an intense ending. Difficult to move on from! We need RED GOD!

I binged the Red Rising series this year and have zero regrets. I haven't found anything that scratches that same itch sense.
We feel the exact same way. It's super special and in a league of its own.
I've been trying to decide to put this on my TBR or not, so I guess this clinches it, 2025 here we go!
So excited for you to pick it up!

This is so nice! Thank you so much for the support. So excited for you to read the rest of the series!

Maddie has read Green Bone Saga. It is a top series for sure! Would love to do a deep dive! Maybe after Kristen reads it!!
I love the Red Rising saga!
We will never get over it!

Totally agree with all of your thoughts! Red God can't come soon enough!
Ok going to finish the series then, brb!
Good call! lol
Unpopular opinion… I like Red Rising more than Golden Son 🙃
Ohhh! That's tea! Love it.

It just gets better and better. Book one is maybe the toughest to get into, but once you do, the series is un-put-down-able!
