Good morning what a wonderful story of your garden. Could you believe it’s 13 years and you did such a wonderful job you and your family and enjoy every introvert God bless you all.❤️🙏
You did an incredible job Olga . You inspire me a lot . I was never much interested in gardening all those years ago, when my mum and grandma were busy in our garden in a small polish village. I wishI could go back in time and learn from them . I’m converting my garden here in UK since pandemic, and it’s an amazing journey. I love roses , peonies, hydrangeas. My garden is truly a labour of love, lots of effort and sweat , carrying heavy bags of compost, planting and pruning etc , but I think my mum and nan are proud of me there , in heaven. ❤ Hugs for you and your family x
What a gorgeous and inspiring video to see on this winter morning! Your creativity and industriousness is remarkable. I'm always delighted to see a new video from you, Olga, and you are so generous with instructions and information. God bless you and your family!
Thank you! Sometimes I look at my garden and think: Did I really do all that? With the help of God we did. And how quickly everything matured… God bless you too!
I'm from Louisiana and I have the Peggy Martin/Katrina Rose, it is 3 years old and a beast! One of the most beautiful roses I've ever seen! Mine is in peak bloom the later part of April and I also have a double row of spanish lavender right in front of my arch for the Peggy Martins and they are peak at the same time! I also have a Cecil Brunner and that is how I found you today...I am in the process of trimming it...something I've never done, I think mine is 3 or 4 years old and it didn't bloom much last year. So happy to have found you!
Even before you said you hoped to inspire people, I was thinking of how much you've inspired me in my garden. I love how you described yourself as a "quiet, introvert gardener." That could describe me as well. I've learned so much from you, you are a wonderful teacher. Each of your videos brings me joy, it makes me happy each time I see you have a new one for us to watch! I have learned so much about soil health and healthy plants from you. I have also discovered that I love to build things out of used lumber for my garden. I am on a journey of learning what plants do best in my very cold, arid zone 4 climate. I used to be envious of all the plants zone 5 and higher that would not grow well here. But then I realized the trick is to find perennials that are resilient, hardy and easily make my garden look lush. (I specifically love to use roses, hydrangeas, and ornamental grasses. And many David Austin Roses do well here) Thank you for helping me on my journey!
Inspiring and beautiful transformation! I like how you were able to build the waddle fence and other structures, and create the different garden features.
You’ve created such a beautiful spot for you and your family. I’ve built a lot of the structures in my garden, but I was super impressed by all the things you created for your garden.
Yes your garden is lovely. I am glad to have found your channel. I have enjoyed watching your garden become, I love every inch of it. Your creativity You are an inspiration. The cement pot you made left me thinking I can do it and I failed. I can’t wait to see your 2025 projects💚
Olga, what a peaceful and beautiful garden you have created. I love your stone walks and particularly the wattle structures. What a compliment to your abilities that your garden structures stand tall along with the actual lovely plantings. I wish I was 50 again and had the stamina to build those structures. At 75 I do more and more planting in pots!
Such a beautiful space! I love how you created a garden room. I've been in my space for 4 seasons now, starting year 5 this summer. I'm working on a garden room. I do live in a wooded area with deer pressure so I have to be realistic with what I can put in as we can't put up fencing. . I finally got my Lady of Shallot rose last year! I'm so excited to see what it will do this year.
Such a beautiful story of how you created your garden and you showed how enjoying the process over 13 years is as important as your end goal, which, incidentally for me, keeps moving but as they say, a gardener's work is never done. Love it!!!
I have watched changes to your garden over the years - and have thoroughly enjoyed them - and you. Watching your garden’s story in one viewing provided a beautiful story. Thank you.
Fantastic. You have created such a beautiful garden. And you can never have too many roses. I keep thinking I can't fit any more in but somehow manage it 😄. I love your rose pruning and training advice. I've got The Generous Gardener rose too (and around 20 other David Austin ones in a not very big garden!) so it's been really useful to see what an older one looks like, thank you. (I'm in UK)
Congratulation on a fantastic garden! From one ukrainian transplant to another - well done! I'm also a master gardener and will be following your videos. Warm regards, Jenny
What a fun video! I am one of the people you have inspired and I can say now that I am finally having success with roses. They are addictive! ❤. Thank you so much.
I have been watching your videos for the last two weeks after I saw a recommendation from another gardener about your channel. Your talent for design and your knowledge of gardening show when you take us through your beautiful gardens. I am inspired to create a few wattle fences and a wattle wall this year as soon as the weather warms up here in Maine. I have been hesitant to grow roses because it gets so cold up here but I think this year I will give it a try. I like Tottering-By-Gently, Lady of Shalott, Roald Dahl and Windermere for starters. I am so glad I discovered your channel, you have such a beautiful way with words. It is pleasant to listen to you describing the beauty of your garden, or like in today's video describing your love for gardening and your journey for the last thirteen years. I have been in my home for seven and I hope that by the 13th year my garden looks as nice as yours.
Your garden story is truly beautiful and reminds of my own journey/s through my gardening life. I really adore all of your amazing craft and construction work. Thank you💚🌲🍏
This beautifully narrated story of garden design and creation is inspiring indeed. I love watching your gardening and projects. I also love your references to the family history embedded in the design (where you all worked and played). I love the privacy and the nestled seating. I am very inspired by the dining areà amidst massed roses. I am in zone 6b and shortly will be moving to zone 5 or even 4 - to be decided latèr - however i think there are concepts i can also adopt there. Your resilience and the fact that you build and DO stuff by yourself is reassujng; maybe i too can do this.
Oh how you have inspired me to keep at my yard. Sadly we have Zoysia grass and it is a devil to remove and keep at bay. We moved into our house a year ago and I immediately started on digging up the grass to create gardens. I was raised in the garden beside my mother and she was called to the earth to constantly create beauty. I have the same calling and like you, I love transforming my surroundings. God Bless you for sharing your lovely story with us and for all your inspiration.
Thank you! Zoysia grass! We learned about it during Master Gardening classes, oh boy. Although, I would recommend it to folks who have only grass on their property: no fertilization, no watering, yellow coat in winter, low maintenance. Probably a menace to neighbors with roses! Happy gardening and God bless you too!
@@OlgaCarmody Thank you so kindly for your thoughtful message. Yes, zoysia grass is a menace. The root travels over two feet under concreate and the thatch of roots are impossible to dig without a lot of muscle and time. BUT, I will get the garden I want. It will take more time than I thought, but I will win. The previous owners of this house used Round up on the sides of their driveway to prevent the grass from destroying the pavement and the grass returned year after year.
Ohhh my goodness how beautiful is your garden, as well as your telling of the story of how it all has come to fruition!! Both a just lovely and so inspiring! Thank you so very much for sharing! You are immensely talented! What a welcoming person, home, garden 😊

It is the hardest part of the projects. I hunt down neighbors who take down their trees and ask to harvest wood.
