I would really love for this channel to also do break downs of costs, or at least give the overall total cost of renovation, apartment cost, etc. That would help more people be inspired to do these great things, versus thinking it's only meant for millionaires.
@@kathklim that's perfect! If it's in Athens, then say the cost in Euro. If in the US, then in dollars. I think that provides some context, otherwise I'm thinking this is a million dollar make over in every video.
Well I think you actually have to be - maybe not a millionaire - but at least rather wealthy. It’s not a cheap bargain if you consider all the handmade specifics that are required to make these small apartments as convenient as they are.
The curved glass wall is everything, absolutely stunning detail. And the lighting around the column suddenly gives it a purpose in the design instead of feeling like it’s in the way as they often can feel.
Wow…. I can see myself living in this space. So luxurious and practical at the same time. This really showcases the possibility of small spaces w/o compromising luxury.
This is definitely one of the most stylish apartments featured on this channel. Midcentury Modern meets Streamline Artdeco, with a splash of Japanese Zen. Probably one of the more expensive renovations, but it makes for great room porn.
Beautiful design. Very ‘70s/‘80s Southern European but brighter and lighter. Genius placing the kitchen in what amounts to a walkway on the way to the bathroom. The long low counter means it doesn’t feel cramped but is still very usable and also well integrated with the living area. Agree with others that I’d want a desk of some sort, but that could be integrated into the room divider I’d imagine.
I miss Athens. I visited my American college roommate there for a two week vacation in 1989 and stayed 5 years. We traveled to so many islands, worked, went to an American University there. It was the best time. Greece is a beautiful country and the people were very warm. The food was fantastic. I remember walking to the train station and on the hill was the Parthenon. Amazing.
@Michael Ellingsworth I’d love to but time, money…. I’m 60, bad knee, life is more complicated. I know it wouldn’t be the same as my late 20’s but what a time. I had broken up with my first boyfriend of 6 years and took off…. Just what my soul needed, the islands and exciting city of Athens. An island would be ideal renting a place. I did know some Greek, but my jobs then expected English to be spoken and my friends had no patience to hear my elementary Greek when they wanted to practice their English. My roommate worked at the embassy and spoke fluent Greek, so I was spoiled.
@@KunaiForce yes since age 16. She lived there for 15 years, married a Greek and moved back to Ohio, our home state. They are happily married and doing well. We both have children born on the same date. If she hadn’t worked at the embassy, I never would have had the opportunity to stay so long. I remember Santorini before it was so famous. It took my breath away.
That signature wall is SO COOL. And I thought I'd hate the dining nook looking at the floor plan but it actually is very intimate and cute. Love this space. What a dream to live in with all that sunlight!
absolutely brilliant! it's the curved counter of the kitchen that help the flow of the room and keeps it organic. I would normally not choose a 60s retro design for myself but after seeing this? I may allow myself to be convinced, it's that good
“Charming environment without neglecting attention to detail” yes it is, and they absolutely achieved that for their client. I also love that you can read at least some of the history and evolution of the apartment in the final design.
Gorgeous shapes, colours and materials. The exposed wall with the artist signatures is amazing and a wonderful piece of history to preserve with the apartment.
Out of all the redesigns on this channel, this has become my new favourite one. It's giving me luxury, city penthouse vibes, yet somehow fitting for such a small space.
The apartment feels so warm! The industrial elements gives the space a bit of a high-end coffee shop feel, but I find that really charming. I might have teared up a bit that they kept the artists' signatures on the wall.
This apartment is a piece of art. So enjoyable to watch. I’m not watching this program seeing what I can or cannot afford. I simply enjoy the glimpse into how people live around the world in small spaces. I enjoy the creativity and imagination and clever ideas. This apartment is full of that. Thank you for sharing.
LOVE IT! Best design from this channel in a while, great find! The curved wood of the kitchen/bedroom divider is brilliant. The warm wood and black makes a nice change, I’m tired of viewing a white void.
Very clever design to transform the column from rectangular to round. Plus adding the brass light to it. Together with the mirrors to make the "hanging-down" walls disappear - genius. Columns always feel like standing in the way, this is a nice one!
WOW! This design is so stunning. I love how everything isn’t too matchy or minimalist. It has a lot of personality and that autograph wall is so special.
Very satisfying design. They have brought in more than enough light. The wall space with all those famous signatures should be framed as an art piece all in itself.
That curved kitchen and the translucent panel system is sheer genius. The whole place is so perfectly thought out and detailed, and I love that they retained the section with the artists’ signature.
After seeing over 1K videos on the redesign of small spaces across the internet since 2019, this is perhaps the most aesthetically beautiful and highly functional of all the small homes designs I have ever seen! Exquisite and phenomenal job! Thank you so much for sharing this design.
Given the constraint to make it functional for a day-to-day activities, this is one very tasteful designed small apartment. From the use of curve to soften the hard materials, transparent divider to infuse light into the structured of frames, there is still space to add a touch or retro yellow-perforated partition to the dinning corner, yet, it doesn’t look cluttered at all! Most designers just resolve the space with off-the-template - white against white concept, here, the use of wood finishing are, carefully considered, boldly executed!! Love it!
Feels so luxurious!! Every nook in this apartment was so well thought out and absolutely functional, the 70's design is done with style and there's still plenty chance for the renter to make it their own. Definitely one of my favorite tours on this channel!
Fantastic design, especially the placement of the kitchen and the materials used, I live in Greece, where in residential spaces Interior design is normally not well thought out, so refreshing to see this!
Also just looked at the website of the architects, fantastic small apartment designs, the best I have seen in Greece, I love their use of mirrors! Thanks Never To Small for a great vlog!
I stayed in this neighborhood during my week in Athens last year, and it was wonderful. I can't believe how much useful space they created in such a small footprint, I'd be happy here!
In some of the spaces that are featured the compromises are obvious, there isnt a hint of compromise here. Stunning design. Think this is my favourite.. so far.
Won’t the light from bedroom be blocked if the wardrobe is filled? Currently there’s only a few items hanging 5:28 and that portion is looking opaque already. Having said that, I still love the curves on the kitchen with the pillar
@@valerieann2751 seeing the kitchen stuff wouldn’t be an issue for me. Those things have a cute silhouette. Hanging clothes do not plus they would block the natural light
Yes, the whole design looks like it was only ever tried out with 3 items, when even a minimalist would own 10. I'm in computer science, and we have the same problem in computer UI design. People only ever try their designs with 3 items when in regular use, the app will have hundreds of entries. It angers me so much. And the light problem is not only with the wardrobe, but also this room dividing bookshelf - if you actually put even 2 dozen books there, it would totally block the light to the entrance area. And if you don't have books, what are you going to do in this apartment at night? There's no space for a tv and the orientation of the sofas as well as the bed is such that you can't use a projector either. All facing glass. Also, those sofas look pretty uncomfortable, when you lounge on them lengthwise with your feet up, they offer no head support. So, you couldn't even sit length wise on the floating sofa and project a movie onto the wall behind the dining area. The kitchen looks pre-destined for having lots of parties, but where would you put a sound system? Or let people sit down to eat together? Idk, somehow this apartment totally gives me the vibes as if it's the workplace of a high end escort. She brings some rich guy there, everything looks high class, they have some drinks or maybe eat something in the small eating area, then they have sex. And nobody considers everyday practicality such as owning more than 1 jacket or wanting to watch a bit of Netflix at night on something bigger than a tablet or phone.
I love this one so, so much. It has so much character and is so stylish, yet the designs don't feel like they're just following trends. It feels very unique. I love what they did with the kitchen! And the artist wall, wow!
👍🏼 Am a big fan of this channel, and I have loved many of the featured apartments and cottages, yet this project truly stands out! And it's in Greece! 🇬🇷😎✌🏼
I absolutely love this episode and I’m so glad you’ve kept the signatures. This is my favorite episode ever. Yes, I would pick this apartment without second thought. It’s beyond beautiful.
I absolutely love the walls and wardrobe of the bedroom, making it super stylish and private but also functional as they allow light into the remaining part of the apartment, Love love love this
I love this apartment. Not usually my style with those eras and around but I still love it. The kitchen is awesome and unique. Probably one of my favorite designs Ive seen so far.
What a gorgeous space. The wrap around kitchen adds to the wonderful flow of the studio apartment. With sufficient nooks and crannies for one to just escape with a space that is never too small!
I can see myself living in this flat! It’s been well designed and remains fully functional. I love how the light lends itself to the space via screens that permit it to fill the house. Bravo to the designers! And thanks to the owners who allowed us into their personal spaces.
I would really love for this channel to also do break downs of costs, or at least give the overall total cost of renovation, apartment cost, etc. That would help more people be inspired to do these great things, versus thinking it's only meant for millionaires.
They showcase apartments from all over the world and the cost of the renovations and apartments would only be relevant if you are in the same city.
Really beautiful idea,its awesome
Yep, almost everything is custom made , so by no means low or medium budget for this apartment.

That is a perfect description!! I am stealing that to describe my aesthetic from now on lol
this is stunning: the brass light fixture, the curved kitchen counter and window, even those light switches!
Those light switches are most probably "Serie 1930" by German manufacturer Berker. Beautiful design reminiscent of Bauhaus-Style…
This is one of my favorite episodes in a while. Amazing design

I'm surprised at how much I like this space... I have to give credit to the designers. They had a theme and they ran with it.
Love the whole apartment but the Jackie O headshot in the dining nook was the cherry on top!

Love this retro style apartment.
This is so tastefully done! It looks retro yet modern at the same time - so chic. Aesthetically pleasing yet no compromise on function, so envious.
It feels so clean and rich, adult but fun; masculine yet not so much that's intimidating. I love it.

love the floating sofa, wardrobe and the column, the banquette with storage and the mirrors on the beam
