World Rewilding Day | Message from Rewilding Southern Carpathians | This is

Europe and its people face a wide range of challenges, including biodiversity decline, rising global temperatures, and declining opportunities for rural economies. Applied at scale, rewilding can help to address these challenges simultaneously!
Since 2013, Rewilding Europe and WWF Romania have been working together to reintroduce the iconic European bison back to the Southern Carpathians rewilding area. Ranger Matei takes us into the field and tells about the bison comeback and the benefits this brings for both nature and people. In and around the Southern Carpathians rewilding area the ongoing bison reintroduction is already having a significant economic and social impact.
