He showed great talent and potential throughout that 2003 season. It's not a laughable scenario that he could have led them to a championship, though there was probably not enough talent around him for that to have happened.
Unfortunately When I moved I lost some tapes, one of the tapes has the overtime. I was at the end of the tape right when the 4th qtr ends. If I find it I will upload it.
The Parcells Era had some pretty amazing games - this one, the 2004 comeback at Seattle, the 2005 comeback at San Francisco and beating the 9-0 eventual Super Bowl champs Colts in 2006. Some epic fails in there as well, but who remembers those...
Still remember this game, one of my favorite of all time that year Cowboys played the Giants & Jets at the Meadowlands in a span of 2 weeks and won both for the Tuna.. I was a Quincy fan, he had the tools but couldn't deal with his demons... Now we'll see what Dak is about...
esco_town_PSYCHO I remember this game as well.. it’s good to know I’m not the only one that remembers it.. I remember bc a few days later hurricane Isabel made landfall in NC I remember after watching the game going straight to the weather channel lol
I’m amazed that I didn’t remember this game. After 30 years as a fan, you’re bound to forget at least a few, but one like that? Wow. Great finish to regulation, and if my memory serves me correctly lol, they won 35-32. Awesome.
Bill Parcells took a team led by Quincy Carter and Troy Hambrick to the playoffs. Let that set in. Best coach of all time and yeah that includes Belichick.
Say whatever you want about Quincy Carter in hindsight, but that throw was as clutch as Staubach, Aikman or Romo ever came up with. With the exception of the Hail Mary.
KingOfTheNighttime great pass but i disagree. romo's 3rd and 20 conversion to terrance williams that was the game winning drive was better against the legion of boom superbowl winning defense.
Quincy's problem was that he didn't play like that enough. Talent and ability is one thing, but you have to perform, and he was average at best when it came to that.
Finally got to show the wife this win after telling her about it so many times... "Bill Parcells first win as the Cowboys coach, team's down by three with 11 seconds left..."
Went to this game. Remember my wife forcing me to leave at end (tired & too many drinks from road trip from RI) & Bryant's made that catch as I was about to exit. So of course said we have to go back & watch OT. God talk about LUCKY!!! Q Carter was terrible. Been spoiled with good QB play from Romo & now Dak since then -those lost years trying to find a QB post Aikman are a distance t memory now....thank God. Great memories. Lifetime, diehard Cowboys fan -was living in Rhode Island at time & had to catch Parcels first game back to the Meadowlands...as Cowoys coach. Who would have thought that years earlier. Did not know what to expect from Giants fans, but they were great. Unlike the idiot Eagles fans...
Daniel B Bledsoe was good here in 05. Foo elk Adams tearing his acl killed the line or the 05 team would have been in the playoffs. Bledsoe when protected in 05 was very good. He struggled in 06.
I don't remember if the Giants cut that kicker loose after that game or not, but it's not uncommon for that to happen after a kicker craps the bed and loses the game. However, it's usually because of missing FG's. I remember one kicker missed and extra point that would have put his team ahead with seconds left, but instead the game was tied and went into OT, where he missed a FG and they ultimately lost. He was cut the next day. Can clearly remember the scenario, but can't remember the team or kicker's name. Jimmy was like that and so was Parcells. They would cut a kicker in a second. Of course, most kickers are pretty much the same, so getting a new one wasn't a big deal. Then again, when you have a Dan Baily, you'd forgive a miscue, but Baily was almost flawless until the injury. Seems once a kicker is injured, they never come back the same. Baily is now kicking for the Vikings and while he's not the Baily he was those years in Dallas averaging close to 90% over his time there, he's still OK. Maher has been inconsistent over his career. Tried out for Dallas in 2013 and was even cut by the Browns before playing in a regular season game. Up until this season, he's not officially kicked in the NFL. He's on a good streak right now and it's probably due to confidence and knowing this was likely his last shot at being on a team. I hope he doesn't go back to his old ineffective ways. At least not until next season. In his prime years, Baily was lights out, while in Maher's first official season, he's missed 6 FG's.
If it wasn't for Romo, this team would have been horrible for several years. Too bad Jerry Jones couldn't put a defense around Romo for the years we had him. Romo didn't have an offensive line until 2014, nor a running game. Playmakers on Defense is what holds the cowboys back every year. Bill parcells was a great coach, now we have a no talent ass in Garrett. Thanks Jerry Jones for ruining the Cowboys for the past 20 years plus!
I guess you conveniently forgot that we went 9-7 back-to-back Parcells's last two years? That his last game was the botched Romo snap playoff game in Seattle? Oh, and that he quit on the team and regretted it. www.dallascowboys.com/news/2013/07/31/star-parcells-still-has-regrets-leaving-cowboys-early
Why in the fuck was Belicheat NFL coach of the year in 2003? He was 11-5 winning a Super Bowl in 2001, 9-7 in 2002 missing the playoffs by the skin of their teeth, and lastly going 14-2 in 2003. Parcells took a Cowboys team that was 5-11 for three straight years as well as low expectations in 2003 got them to 10-6 plus a playoff berth.
Keith Carlson 2003 Patriots were a much more dominant team than the 2001 Patriots. Plus he was newer to the scene, everyone had seen Parcells turn numerous bad teams around before (Patriots, Jets, Dallas).
That was a foot away from being a great squib kickoff too. Giants would have won even if the cowboys ran the kick back to the 40 too. That big pass was pretty quick and it still burned 7 seconds
He only needed one more year. The year after he resigned was Romo's "high hopes" season, where they went 13-3, got the #1 seed and were bounced in the divisional round by the eventual SB champion Giants. I would have loved to see Tuna coach the team he built one more year.
Without Romo, our team through the mid 2000's, would have been HORRIBLE. Thank God for Romo, too bad Jerry waited until 2014 to get an offensive line for him. And a running game, to where Romo didn't have to throw the ball 40 times a game, cause we were always playing catch up. He could have benefited from a elite defense as well, but never had that either. I'm talking about a defense that created turnovers when needed, he never had that. I'm a Dak believer, just not sure he has the right coaching staff to make him better. Only way Dallas wins this up coming season, if Zeke runs for 1300 yards, and our defense can be top ten in TURNOVERS. Our defense was top 10 last year, but don't let that fool you one bit, they were bottom in the league in forcing TURNOVERS. YOU CAN WIN A SUPERBOWL IN THIS LEAGUE BY GIVING UP POINTS PER GAME, BUT YOU HABE TO BE ONE OF THE LEADERS IN CREATING TURNOVERS AS A DEFENSIVE UNIT. The fact of the matter is, Dallas still lacks several playmakers on defense (talent).
Lol John madden at the beginning just repeating what al Michaels says verbatim and then struggling to explain how missing the kick doesnt allow you a redo
We should have let Tuna hand the reigns to Sean Peyton. We needed a Parcells system and instead we got Wade Phillips circus & the bullshit we have now.

Cowboys won this game by another field goal by Cundiff for everybody wondering what happened :-)
DRock6906 trying to find that OT Clip
I know right?
I was wondering.....lol
J lol pass whatever you're smoking
He showed great talent and potential throughout that 2003 season. It's not a laughable scenario that he could have led them to a championship, though there was probably not enough talent around him for that to have happened.
Diehard cowboys fan here!!!Suscribed to Dallas Cowboys magazine for years and will always bleed silver and blue!!!!!!
Wow!!! I see number 88 and the last name Bryant and it throws you completely off.
Antonio Bryant was no scrub
I miss madden calling games he was the best ever at it in my opinion.

Romo mishandling the hold against Seattle was my first ever playoff game as a cowboys fan 😂. Shoulda known that was a sign of the years to come lol
@@indofokinfolkfoo3448He should’ve never been the holder from the jump smh .
I was there and to this day I still get shivers... Go Cowboys!!!
Thank you for all the clips you uploaded, you'd assume this stuff would be lost forever
These MNF games were awesome. Micheals and Madden 🔥🔥
I miss Madden.
*3 weeks
esco_town_PSYCHO I remember this game as well.. it’s good to know I’m not the only one that remembers it.. I remember bc a few days later hurricane Isabel made landfall in NC I remember after watching the game going straight to the weather channel lol
5:57 a little glimpse of Romo coming onto the field!
Lol
I’m amazed that I didn’t remember this game. After 30 years as a fan, you’re bound to forget at least a few, but one like that? Wow. Great finish to regulation, and if my memory serves me correctly lol, they won 35-32. Awesome.
Wow how could you not remember this one? One of my favorite games of the past two decades (granted, not too many to choose from with this franchise).
When mnf was still on abc
I remember this game as if it was yesterday
That's the best pass I've seen Quincy Carter throw.
I felt that way back in '89 about Irvin having that number because of how much I loved Drew Pearson, but he lived up to it. Showing my age now huh
Damn talk about the memories man where does the time go?
Quincy Carter was to bad but this was a pretty good moment for him
Seriously, it is insane. I keep hoping somebody is going to slow this ride called life down, any day now, but it doesn't seem to be happening.
I was at this game, was one of the craziest I've ever seen
I was there too. Wild game.
Oh my goodness, I remember this game. Time just goes by too fast.
Cowboys fans will get this, Antonio Brown + Dez Bryant =Antonio Bryant...there you go!!!!
Bruh wtf Timmy upload the ending!! It is a classic! Much love!
I hope you load the OVERTIME PART OF THIS GAME...BECAUSE YES THIS WAS A CLASSIC FOOTBALL GAME!
What a pass & catch!!!! That was a bullet, I can't believe he held on......THAT TAKES GUTS!!!!!
Bill Parcells took a team led by Quincy Carter and Troy Hambrick to the playoffs. Let that set in. Best coach of all time and yeah that includes Belichick.
That roster had no business making the playoffs... great coaching by Parcells
Better yet is when he guided a Giants team with Scott Bruner at QB to the playoffs in the early 80s.
The man with the golden toe!
TANK zwei ha don't tel that to Ravens fans (im a Ravens fan)
I remember this game like it was yesterday. . How bout dem cowboys!!
do you have the OVERTIME PART OF THIS GAME AVAILABLE? ? ?
Say whatever you want about Quincy Carter in hindsight, but that throw was as clutch as Staubach, Aikman or Romo ever came up with. With the exception of the Hail Mary.
KingOfTheNighttime great pass but i disagree. romo's 3rd and 20 conversion to terrance williams that was the game winning drive was better against the legion of boom superbowl winning defense.
@KingOfTheNighttime - A deep out that was on the money, too.
NOT an easy throw.
Q
Quincy's problem was that he didn't play like that enough. Talent and ability is one thing, but you have to perform, and he was average at best when it came to that.
Finally got to show the wife this win after telling her about it so many times... "Bill Parcells first win as the Cowboys coach, team's down by three with 11 seconds left..."
Classic ...and how nice seeing Parcells as Cowboys coach beating the Giants!!
As a Giants fan, this pissed me off. I know it was only week 2, but it set the tone for what would become a 4-12 season. What a nightmare to watch.
dwedge914 think of it like this, if the giants win this game, they don't get eli.
hmm...that's a good way to look at it.
Wow! I remember watching this with my future wife.. damn I'm getting old!
Do you have the 2002 panthers cowboys game?
I remember being so happy that things were finally starting to look up lol
Parcels “ situational football” pays off.....oh and BTW .....thanks for that Matt Bryant KO....
Eat it G- Men.
i remember watching this game. i couldn't believe it lol.
I watched this game. New the Giants were gaining momentum and saw the lead disappear. This was Great!!
Went to this game. Remember my wife forcing me to leave at end (tired & too many drinks from road trip from RI) & Bryant's made that catch as I was about to exit. Kenneth Kern Carter was not that bad
Carter is definitely better than Dak.
No way in hell Dak makes that throw.
Timmy Johnson, please put the Overtime of this game.
Please?
Looked like the game was over with a giants W - nice comeback by the boys
I was born during that game
Ben the QB I got lucky and was making babies after the game!!
Spiritually or....
Amazing throw by Q Carter
Sean Payton with Bill Parcells at 3:23
Damn, I remember this
I'm pretty sure that was Sean Payton called that play for Dallas. 3:23
Indeed that was
So we could have had Sean Payton instead of.......
Cowboys 4LIFE!!!Priceless!!
Where is the rest of this!? I need to see the outcome again
Antonio Bryant is the GOAT!!!!!!
please put the Overtime of this game on UA-cam PLEASE???
You need to please put OVERTIME OF THIS GAME ON UA-cam, PLEASE???
I was at this game..shocker !!
As a Cowboys fan these years were embarrassing... Quincy Carter was tough to watch followed by Vinny and Bledsoe those were hard times
Daniel B Bledsoe was good here in 05. Foo elk Adams tearing his acl killed the line or the 05 team would have been in the playoffs. Bledsoe when protected in 05 was very good. He struggled in 06.
Dude I remember this game
The game summed up the 03 Cowboys and the 03 Giants. Everything went right for the Cowboys, nothing went right for the Giants.

Wild and crazy game..:)
Is that Sean Peyton? At 3:21?
Is that the same Cundiff that threw the playoff game for new England in 2011 when he played for baltimore
was that Troy Hambrick? wow!
Raymond Solis Jr. 🗑🗑🗑🗑
I remember where I was while watching this game. Not many of those.
It’s weird seeing Sean Payton on the Cowboys sideline at 3:23
Started a streak of winning 5 in a row and 7 of 8. The loss was to a very good Tampa team.
Kicks the ball out of bounds. Points at someone else as if they were to blame.
Fuck, this game still pisses me off. The Giants absolutely should have won.
Quicy Carter could have been that man, if wasn't for his off the field issues.
Let's slow down on Quincy Carter.

I argue that in barber shop all the time under the wings of Parcell's he would've been pretty good!
they tried the defense aspect w. guys like ware, greg ellis, roy Williams and terrance Newman @@thomas1093
when or if you find the Overtime part of this game is hope you upload it soon!
Freddy H First off am not talking to you. 2nd UA-cam video records show no OT part of this game at all. 3rd BACK OFF!
i remember this
What a randomly good year that was.......btw i called dez "antonio".....for the like the first 3 years of his career
Imagine Parcells, Sean Peyton, and 2016-2022 team.
All day everyday!!! COWBOY'S
Where in the hell can I see the ending of the damn game?
Carter had immense talent and potential. What a waste.
Seventh Mist yep and he did it to himself
I was kicking it with Quincy yeasterday...he says he fucked up......he's a good dude
I kno right!
born killer at least he admits it. Hopefully he’s doing well these days.
Seventh Mist Carter didnt have enough talent to make the right plays. He was not a good QB period. At best he was o.k..
Where is the over time part to this Game???
Overtime part please!???

dude you posted like 10 comments saying post over time yeesh
Gemini Man so what!?!?
I hope someone puts the OVERTIME OF THIS GAME ON!
have you or anyone else find the Overtime of this game???
I have not had a chance to check yet.
That was a foot away from being a great squib kickoff too. Giants would have won even if the cowboys ran the kick back to the 40 too. That big pass was pretty quick and it still burned 7 seconds
I was down 19 points in fantasy with only Cundiff left. Let's say my friend didn't have a good day, the next day.
Big Tuna would've won the cowboys a sb. He just needed a bit more time. Thanks Jerry 😡
He only needed one more year. The year after he resigned was Romo's "high hopes" season, where they went 13-3, got the #1 seed and were bounced in the divisional round by the eventual SB champion Giants. I would have loved to see Tuna coach the team he built one more year.
fossil looks like a crazy man.when he gets mad
I don't care what you say about Quincy Carter that dude had a rocket for an arm
Without Romo, our team through the mid 2000's, would have been HORRIBLE. Thank God for Romo, too bad Jerry waited until 2014 to get an offensive line for him. I still haven't had the chance to search through my tapes for the overtime yet.
Still trying to figure out what was impossible about this, pretty common...
Well I do not suffer fools so I am not going to spoon feed it to you.
Both teams wearing the same uniforms today lol
Lol John madden at the beginning just repeating what al Michaels says verbatim and then struggling to explain how missing the kick doesnt allow you a redo
Was that Gary Payton on the sidelines for the Cowboys?
Edward Christopher Sean Payton Saints HC
Edward Christopher Gary Payton would have been talking smack to the Giants all night long if he were on the Cowboys' sideline.
what was the date of this
9/15/2003
I didn’t know cundiff played in 03
Classic :)
We should have let Tuna hand the reigns to Sean Peyton. We needed a Parcells system and instead we got Wade Phillips circus & the bullshit we have now.
If the ball would have stayed in bounds the returner could have stepped out of bounds and touched the ball. Still would have got it at the 40. I don't think he was thinking about that though.
Yeah strange rule I don't understand it.
The only 88 Bryant that can catch
beyond stupid comment.
one major reason football sucks: have to wait 20 minutes to watch 3 plays happen
Frank Hernandez
Lol shut the hell up that's just a dumb stereotype. You cqn have as many plays in one drive depending on how far reaches the goal line.
Frank Hernandez go watch a different sport then lol no one forces you to watch and hate football
I know I watched this game..i have never missed a Cowboy game since I have been out of diapers..but I just can't remember what happened in overtime??
brandon242 cundiff record tying 7 fg game
Antonio Bryant follows me on twitter. Just saying.
QC had an arm on em
