I love how it requires you to be so precise and will highlight your flaws very quickly (and painfully). I bet getting hours in on this thing would greatly improve your technique on the hill!
It reminds me of learning how to snowboard all over again focusing on not catching edges and such, cool video Johnathan. Wish there were facilities like that in canada
@@JohnathanBuckhouse I might try it. I’m sure my wife would have a ton of fun watching me catch an edge and slam against the carpet lol! But just got my epic pass so I may not want to injure myself before the season starts. Since I’m old, I have to choose whether I’d rather get hurt on snow or carpet haha!
actually going to work in a place like this from next month on after 4 months (full season) in austria. its really good to get a clean technique because there is no slack from the snow. really excited to see how much better prepped one gets for the mountains when training this first.
@@JohnathanBuckhouse yea it was simply heaven man, i worked over where you visited in silvretta montafon, only i worked in gargellen another smaller mountain with a 1400m base level, best powder in the montafon area.
Glad to see a new video brother. Please, for the love of god shave the mustache, it looks awful. Swing and a miss on that one bro lol. Keep up the great work on the videos and keep shredding.
Hi, i want a specific board. The burton custom 22/23 version. I found one in size 156. I am 6ft 4 inches. 225lbs Is this gonna be a problem? I know i should have at least a165. But is it possible to ride a smaller board comfortably? Anyone?
This is a "no frame of reference" problem. If they had graphics projected on the side rails showing movement, trees whizzing past or whatever, sync'd to the carpet speed, it would be more natural. Right now, our boy is fighting his own senses - and he isn't even a beginner. This is the inverse of that feeling you get in slow traffic, when you get the sense you are going backward, because everything around you is moving slightly faster than you, and you stomp the brake, and similar to the situation when you are snowboarding in fog where your senses are telling you that you have stopped, but you are still moving...now imagine that while on an edge.....well, you catch it... This is also encouraging bad snowboard technique - where you swish your tail to transition to the other edge - how do I know? Learned on a dry-slope...and had to unlearn that when I switched to carving and hardboots.

Thank you 🙏🏼
i got into snow boarding because of your content
no way! I love hearing that!
Great video! You got the hang of it so fast! I’ve seen the one in centennial through the windows, but thought it was gimmicky. Now it seems legit
Yes dude go do it with the family! So much fun.

I'd like to see how hard you can carve, I imagine its only sliding turns since the boards are heavily detuned?
oh no you cab carve!!!
He was facing straight down the fallline, leaning way over toeside edge, and nothing was happening. Really slick slides are what works, it appears.
Dopeeee ripping in the summer time baby
right!!
That's a timely video, I just learned about this place and was going to go when i pass thru denver
Heck yeah 😂
Skibidi Doc!
Ive actually been wanting to go check this place out. Sweet.
Do it! free this month!

Had to make sure someone commented this before doing so myself.

thanks mom!
That's so sick
Right!
Very crazy
Do it!
The Thorton location is just 12 min away from my home and I was there today lol. I guess the algorithm does pick up the cues
That’s sick 😂
Nicccccccce...

That thumbnail 😂
Stoked you approve lol
WOW
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Love this place wether the skatepark or the snowboarding

I just take my Ripstik down steep hills. I use worn out Rollerblade wheels of a larger size, and the back wheel is toast in one run.

My wife says otherwise 😂😅
Cool but no way i can afford that. What's the best dryland: mountainboard ($$$), longboard ($$), or Ripstik ($)
Is this legit training or just for entertainment. Either way I’m trying it when I get home
I thinks it can be legit training for sure!
What’s your bindings angle?
in this video IDK lol

I couldnt wait for you guys to answer me. I bought the board. Well see how it handles....
Question 1 is what's your boot size?
I'm 5'10 190 and I ride a 158W
Yo wazzzz uppp
Dude!!!
Yo dude your content makes me so happy
Can you catch and edge
yes! I do in this video
Jump-turns on skis are cool. On a snowboard?? Probably not.

The hardbooter always reveals himself.
