I wonder why the lap times were so slow relative to fp3. Usually there is a big delta between fp3 and q3 around singapore but this time it is only 1 tenth.
Besides, the red flag in Q3 didn’t do the drivers any favors, had they been able their first laps, we’d probably have seen some 29.3 or even lower maybe. In fact if you look closely most drivers did their best lap in Q2😂
since this upgraded Mclaren shines in high speed corners, I’d like to see what this current version could do on a track like Saudi Arabia where it’s mostly high speed
i think when you put the data tables on screen for the minimum speeds, maybe make the colour of the lower numbers red. idk might just help it be a bit easier to read
I highly recommend you attend a race or an F1 promotional event where you can hear the V6 turbo-hybrid cars in person. I went to the Las Vegas Grand Prix launch party back in November 2022. They closed down a section of the strip so Lewis Hamiltom and George Russell could do donuts and full-throttle runs up and down the strip itseld in the Mercedes W12 from the 2021 season, and Checo did the same in Seb's championship-winning V8 RB7 from the 2011 season. Obviously, the V6 can't really compare to the previous-generation V8s in terms of sound. I was on the sidewalk right in front of Caeser's Palace, less than 25ft from both cars as they were doing donuts, and the exhaust pipes were pointing directly at me when they pulled away and accelerated down towards the other end of the strip. I could even feel the exhaust pulses hitting me in the chest. The RB7 sounded absolutely glorious, and I could hear its exhaust echoing through the skyscrapers even when it was at the other end of the strip. That said, I was really impressed by the turbo-hybrid V6. They are loud as hell in person, and they sound unlike any other car I've ever heard. I do actually think they sound incredible, just not as good as the V8s, V10s, or V12s of the late-1980s-early-2010s. There's a bit more low-end bass in their exhaust note, along with a lot of turbo/wastegate noise that you can't hear on TV/UA-cam recordings.
an extra drs zone but i believe the track had much lower grip this year so the cars could have been even faster? norris was only a tenth faster than his fp3 time
How Norris destroyed Sainz pole lap and Sainz decided to destroy his car
lucu lu bgst
😂😂😂
even the fp2 times were quicker lmao. I just noticed while using my airpods that mcl sound plays only for the right ear and ferrari for left
His sound mixing is top notch

For me even without headphones it works

notice the detail in this video. if you put your headphone on, the sound on your left ear is Ferrari and on your right is McLaren. awesome
its just annoying

Yeah comparing laps is back! I wanna see why the time difference in Baku if someone can explain.
Track surface was really bad this year bc it didn't get cleaned
track conditions the surface was filled with dust and it was hotter this year around baku last year the gp was in april now september
That Mcl has a lot of traction everywhere.
He had at least another 0.1s in his pocket too. There were a number of corners where Norris didn’t push on his final lap
The way that Lando attacked that last couple corners was just magical. In a way, it reminded me of the way the old dominant Mercs could do that.
1:45 You made a mistake here, you put that the minimum speed was 66km In turn 10 of 2024 and it was actually 65km
It's crazy how Norris takes 3rd gear into some corners, while Sainz uses 4th gear, yet Norris has better traction. The McLaren is a rocket ship!

@@Franceee___ Yea that little delay just killed the track evolution. Its probably lucky there wasn't ANOTHER big crash.
I just watched him drop down to 40mph and accelerate to 100+ in 1 second. 🤩
That McL is smooth as butter on exits, as if it has tc
since this upgraded Mclaren shines in high speed corners, I’d like to see what this current version could do on a track like Saudi Arabia where it’s mostly high speed
Its been very weird the times on different tracks, 1.4 this weekend, but lost over 1 second in Azerbaijan
2024 is a different track layout to 2023 with an extra DRS zone.
Well yeah but the extra DRS gains are greatly overcome by the rest of the lap
Same layout, one more DRS zone
that’s more than 1 sec difference, crazy
the smoothes downshifting on the last 2 corners is still Charles
i think when you put the data tables on screen for the minimum speeds, maybe make the colour of the lower numbers red. idk might just help it be a bit easier to read
Cool idea that on the left chanell there is Ferrari Engine sound and McLaren on the right chanell
Can you do a video to analyze if RedBull was using the brake valve thingy? I think it would be pretty interesting if possible
thats what i was trying to tell everyone the extra drs zone wont affect laptime by that much this years cars are just faster
the fact that you have Anton Chigurh On Profile scares me 😅
That McLaren Sounds like a vacuum cleaner 💀
It is Hoovering up all the missed points Max could’ve achieved this season
I think its just this video because it sounds very different elsewhere.
@@bvldrmore like all the missed points Norris could've had this season with his rocketship

Max would interest me, 2023 vs 2024
This isn't even a full send lap. He leaves pretty huge amounts of space especially in the last corner.
Norris destroyed Sainz’s lap, and Sainz had telepathic powers knowing it was coming that he decided to destroy his car in respect of
What kind of lap u talking about 🤨
The merc pu’s are soothing to the ears. Not as jarring as the ferrari
Good thing Sainz signed a deal already, because his stock has gone down in recent months.
Lol you have no idea what you're talking about.
When will we see 2024 vs 2019/2018 pole lap comparison?
No point vastly different track now compared to 2018/19
Was Mclaren's mini DRS banned from this race?
They didn’t bring that wing, as it was for power circuit specific.
They had mini-drs only on low-downforce wing, so I guess they can't use it form Vegas
That wing was only for power circuits
Damn 2023 cars are tractors compared to current cars 🤣

Why are those laps so much faster than Hamilton in 2018 or Leclerc in 2019?

I heard it was raining there in the night before quali so it washed away all the rubber on the track
NORRIS BREAKS THE NEW TRACK RECORD!!!!!

mclaren just got a good car, norris didnt do much.

mate you REALLY hate Ferrari hahahahaha funny
its not the driver...its the 'car'
What do you mean Norris destroyed Sainz? 2024 cars are obviously much faster it's only natural Norris is much quicker
Talking of lap times not driver vs driver
There was never a car in F1 history that gained so much speed/time midseason with "updates". That car is illegal af.
