I grew up and lived in California for 30 years. It used to be paradise in the 60’s - 70’s. Glad I packed up & moved in September of 89’ The state is completely lost!

Yep, minimum wage hikes up to 20 bucks is the fastest way to increase inflation! That's why Pizza Hut fired all 4000 of its delivery drivers in CA the day they raised the minimum wage to $20 and started using doordash, and is why McDonald's is leaving california. They pushed food prices up over the line where they can no longer make a profit and stay in business. It's a cash grab. California instantly gets increased income tax collection on those wage hikes! they want $$$ to put towards to their bottomless pit of debt. They don't care how many millions of people across the country will lose their jobs as a result of this poor practice, or how much they raise grocery prices which are now at literally 200% of what they were 4 years ago
Yep, Snyder is the one that told us about this. He put on an entire video out on it. Look up McDonald's in his video history. I don't think it's locked in yet. McDonald's is still deciding what to do. But when they have to pay $20 an hour wages, no franchise owner is going to be able to afford doing a $10 Big Mac combo. They will lose money on every order. Wages are just too high. Some fast food restaurants are also considering doing a completely automated restaurant with no people running them because of high labor cost. That's another Snyder report. Lol. Gavin newsom's policies are literally causing massive job loss and increasing unemployment and homelessness. Nobody can afford to hire employees. Its causing massive job loss.
I’m closing in on my retirement and I’d like to move from Minnesota to a warmer climate, but the prices on homes are stupidly ridiculous and Mortgage prices has been skyrocketing on a roll(currently over 7%) do I just invest my spare cash into stock and wait for a housing crash or should I go ahead to buy a home anyways?
If anything, it'll get worse. Very soon, affordable housing will no longer be affordable. So anything anyone want to do, I will advise they do it now because the prices today will look like dips tomorrow. Until the Fed clamps down even further, I think we're going to see hysteria due to rampant inflation. You can't halfway rip the band-aid off.
Considering the present situation, diversifying by shifting investments from real estate to financial markets or gold is recommended, despite potential future home price drops. Given prevailing mortgage rates and economic uncertainty, this move is prudent, particularly due to stricter mortgage regulations. Seeking advice from a knowledgeable independent financial advisor is advisable for those seeking guidance.
I've remained in touch with a financial analyst since the start of my business.
