I watched this one, but I really missed Kimberlys commentary. I wouldn’t watch too many without her commentary-her connection with & her tips for quilters is what keeps me coming back.
As I watch Miss Speedy here, (🥰) I am fascinated by all the beautiful colorways of the different fabrics. Thank you, Kimberly and FQS, for making this video. It has inspired me. I love this scrappy house pattern. Watching this has also convinced me that a video on using the EQ computer programs is needed. How did you get the exact fabrics on the digital printouts?
Kimberly you are a MONSTER QUILTER!!! Bow to the queen!!! Incredible amount of work done!!! Just amazing!! I sure hope AND pray you are feeling better ♥️🙏♥️🙏. Merry Christmas to you and all at FQS
I like videos like these, where you include information about how long block creation takes for you at home. It provides a benchmark of sorts for me if I’m in a situation where I have to finish blocks under a deadline. As it is, I quilt only for fun and tend to linger in the process, but it’s fun to see how the other half sews! :) Thanks for taking the time to make the variety of videos that you currently offer and for always looking to keep the content interesting. Merry Christmas to the whole FQS team!
I so appreciate every video you make - because you don’t have to do them and you’re free to do any kind of video you like! But because feedback was asked for, I’ll share that I fastforwarded through this one to get to the parts with the commentary. But thank you as always for the time put in to make the video!
This was such a fun ride! Santa’s elves could never keep up with you, Miss Kimberly! Hope you are feeling much better and have a most joyous Christmas. Can’t wait for part 2!!!
Another great way to offer more ideas of how to use fabric lines, if you feel so inclined. I, too, increased the speed & turned off the volume, so I could concentrate on her processes. Absolutely fascinating methodology, Kimberly.
Thank you FQS for all you do. I’m starting to get my quilting mojo back. Love todays video. One of my favourite notions would have to be my rotary cutter and my clappers. Have a great week.
I will miss seeing you over the holidays! Enjoy the time with your family! I love the long sped up videos! Makes me feel like I’m sewing with a friend! You all at FQS do such a fabulous job! Happy Holidays to you all!!
How about a new unique Fat Quarter fabric precut “cap sets”🎉. Looking forward to part two to see the other block production and what you ultimately make with those blocks. Thanks Kimberly ❣️
I so loved seeing your thought process of cutting, using the design boards for each block, etc… I see now how you get so much sewing done. Your process is so efficient! Also having the block printed in the colorway is brilliant. I’m a visual learner and this makes so much sense to me. I too hope you are feeling better Kimberly! Thank you and thanks to your entire team for EVERYTHING!! Happiest of happy holidays! Y’all are AMAZING!! ❤
Kimberly and team…beautiful fabrics…speedy completion…I know you all tired…love everything shared…wishing everyone beautiful holidays and enjoy a little time off❤❤
Love this. My piecing is more efficient when I cut and label on a board and then strip piece. I struggle sometimes to cut squares with a rotary cutter and not over cut the corners too much. I put my pieces with the pattern in a project bag or big ziploc so it is easy to grab but I like using the boards when sewing.
This is off topic-sorry, but I want to prepare for the sew scrappy spools sewalong & I was wondering if there’s a schedule for which blocks we’ll be making each month/week. I’d like to pick out my scraps & start starching them & it would be easier if I knew which blocks we are doing first. Thank you for all that you do! I love FQS & always go to them first for my quilting needs. Kimberly is the best!
I love these videos! I am amazed at how much you get done. No wonder you have to change your rotary blades every 8 hours! Beautiful fabrics. I love to have them in my stash! Thank you
Thanks for all you do in your business. Definitely you and Kevin go way beyond most companies. My husband and I owned a small family business before retirement and I know the stress and long hours. Remember to relax and enjoy family and holidays. It’s all goes by so fast. Seems like life goes at the pace of your video…hahaha. Hohoho. Merry Christmas to you and your talented staff.
Love this video almost got sea sick🤪. Wish I sewed this fast. I am interested In more about how you did the paper blocks. Looks like several tricks to using them. Maybe you could exp them sometime eg like about the folding before you sewed? Thanks I have them but have put off using them
@kimberly jolly ,do the economy blocks tell you what sizes every piece needs to be cut to? If yes I’m definitely getting them and more triangles on a roll from you. I adore you and appreciate all you do for us beginner sewers ty and Merry Christmas 🎄
Hi Karen Brunette! Yes it will tell you what size it needs to be cut. Here is a link to our foundation paper: www.fatquartershop.com/nsearch/?q=economy+block Merry Christmas!
Hello Marilyn! A capset is a type of fabric sample that manufacturers bring to show companies upcoming fabric. We have a video here that shows what they look like ua-cam.com/video/c9Q0wPyIoO8/v-deo.html
I love your videos thank you for the instructions and the patterns that you give out you do an amazing job. But I was wondering about the tree quilt behind you on your left I could not find it in your list could you help me out on the pattern name

I really enjoyed this! Merry Christmas! Hey how about next time instead of the music, which, whew had to turn off, just ask someone to read us a fairy tale or anything. Loved watching you sew. Wow even though it was sped up, you do sew fast. I’m a turtle…lol❤
Correct. It's their version for introducing the new fabric lines to registered wholesalers. Kimberly has mentioned on her videos, occasionally, over the years, that's how she uses the fabrics in a line, to make a block or quilt/runner/wall hanging to offer ideas to us. Better than just stashing them, to gather dust & become their own "hot mess". On her seasonal videos about new Riley Blake fabric designs, she references the term: "cap sets" when introducing the "Spring fabric reveals", for example!
I know it’s hard to come up with new ideas, but this kind of video is not my jam. I started watching because I thought it would be like the ones where Kimberly does a voiceover. To be fair I don’t like those so much either, but at least they have something going on. I know what it looks like to make a quilt. I I don’t need to watch it on fast forward with a music background. I don’t learn anything from it. I don’t gain any entertainment. It’s just boring. I do appreciate what you do for us quilters, though.
Nice video. Except. I listen as I sew. The music was annoying because I was not watching the screen. Other wise nice for those that are just watching the video. Didn't work for me listening only. Keep up the videos though for those that are interested in just sitting and watching. I stopped the video and moved on to something better for me at the time.
I did not like this accelerated video, making quilt blocks/quilts is enjoyable process but not the way you did in this video. Great that you go fast but not fun to watch. 👎👎👎
I watched this one, but I really missed Kimberlys commentary. I wouldn’t watch too many without her commentary-her connection with & her tips for quilters is what keeps me coming back.
I love the idea of using EQ to color your blocks! I need a video on how to do that! Can you do that Kimberly? ❤
Omg! This woman is a master at efficiency. The manufacturing world would adore her. ❤️❤️❤️

Amazing! Merry Christmas, Kimberly and all at Fat Quarter Shop! What an exceptional company you have created!
Makes me want a speedy Juki! Just like Kimberly’s! Happy holidays everyone at FQS! You are a bright spot on a gloomy winter day❤
I’ll be honest. Because of her and the knee lift and foot cutter and watching how quickly she sews I had to get one. 🙄 I’m blaming her.
Thank you FQS for all you do. I’m starting to get my quilting mojo back. Love todays video. One of my favourite notions would have to be my rotary cutter and my clappers. Have a great week.

I second this. I’d love to see how you put it all together!
Love everything you do for us! Thank you!
I am making the 2022 Brickhouse Scrap blocks and the 2023 Star Streams Scrappy Stars.
Love watching your thought process!
I love my battery operated seam ripper
I love how you challenge yourself! You are definitely a work horse. I really liked this video.
Kimberly and staff have a very happy holidays. I absolutely love everything you and your staff create.
Amazing. Thank you! ⚘️
It would be fun to hear Kimberly's thought process as she chooses and discards the fabrics for the Scrappiness blocks!
I so loved seeing your thought process of cutting, using the design boards for each block, etc…

Great video. I loved the format. it was great to see Kimberly working with so many different collections. Very inspiring.
It made my head spin!! 😂. But it was fun! I’m a fabric addict!
Love this. My piecing is more efficient when I cut and label on a board and then strip piece. I struggle sometimes to cut squares with a rotary cutter and not over cut the corners too much. Kimberly I Just saw on amazon that the starch that you like to use is now in a trigger spray bottle they have a 12 pack for 66
WOW!!! That's a lot of blocks Kimberly!!! They are beautiful!!! That was great to watch! Thank you!!
hello Kimberly, thank you for all you do

29:02 I’m so impressed as always and as always I am learning to cut more efficiently by watching you.
What a kick to watch the little houses go together. Thanks for the fun. Lots of different lines of fabric is visual treat!
I did the scrappy strip quilt blocks at the end and I am so happy with the results!
I love these videos! I am amazed at how much you get done. No wonder you have to change your rotary blades every 8 hours! Beautiful fabrics. I love to have them in my stash! Thank you
Merry Christmas all
I love this Christmas Eve fabric❤❤❤
Not sure how you did all that. I had to take breaks just watching you Kimberly! Love your work. Thank you. Merry Christmas.
Such gorgeous fabrics to play with😀🌲🌲
I enjoy these videos as I can catch up on trimming my HSTs or any cutting. Love it!
I plan on using batting squares to make the Scrappy String quilt that way it will be like a quilt as you go!
Love watching your tutorials. I really love this fabric

I love the houses but wanted a window in it so I could feature something in each one.
Funny to watch in high speed!
I wish I could sew that fast...might actually be able to get something done.
Fun video - Merry Christmas! Hope you enjoy some time off.
❤❤❤ I do that a lot… looking for the rotary cutter 😂😂 I love the sped up version on quilts that you’ve already made!!
For my birthday I am going to ask for a Juki and an editing software to sew quickly!😅😅😅😅
Great to watch. Thanks for sharing such progress. ❤️
I love scrappy!
Sometimes I wish I could sew as fast as Kimberly, then I realize how much more I'd spend on fabric if I completed projects more quickly than I do!
I CANNOT wait for Fruit Cocktail to arrive!
Love everything! Ugh, I wish I could have an entire day to sew AND get that much accomplished! Can you please share what cutting mat you use?
Hello Sandra! Kimberly uses the Creative Grids 24" x 36" Cutting Mat - bit.ly/3GEKJ1o
What is the name of the Pink (could be red) ruller, I would like to buy one?

Hello Marilyn! A capset is a type of fabric sample that manufacturers bring to show companies upcoming fabric. We have a video here that shows what they look like ua-cam.com/video/c9Q0wPyIoO8/v-deo.html

Capsets are only available to wholesaler’s, correct
I have not heard that term before. I'm also curious if these are available. I buy the Moda scrap bags to use with my EPP.
We should do a challenge and send Kimberly scraps of our ugliest fabrics and see what she makes with them.
❤ this video!
Is there anyway to slow video down, makes one dizzy at this speed.
Hi Barbara, you can go to the video settings and reduce the playback speed as you see fit.
Suggestion… background music is whatever podcast Kimberly is listening to on her headphones. So we can stay up-to-date on her crime storylines. 🤣
She listens to some great ones!
🤍🤍🤍

Love everything you do ❤️this style video doesn’t appeal to me . 🤷♀️
Not quite sure what this is about. But it is not one of Fat Quarter shops best videos.
