Keystone. I loved the patriotic colors. It has inspired me to make one for my retired military husband. Great job on the sew along. Thanks.
This was the keystone video that tied it all together. Thanks for making this series of quilting videos. I enjoyed and learned something from each one. Blessings and take care.
Thank you thank you!!
Such an attractive quilt! I want one just like it! Cross stitch has taken over my world but now I’m getting that quilty bug again! Thanks so much for showing it! Keystone
Your quilt a long was FABULOUS!!!
Thank you for this series, you make everything look so approachable. I have just finished my 3rd quilt and am working on my next one . So many I want to make , so little time 😜!
Thank for sharing your time, you are always a joy to watch ! Keystone quilters are great !
Thanks for all the great tips. What an accomplished seamstress you are.
Loved the series! Good tip on the tiny piece of tape to mark the corner. I agree with others that I always get the final joining wrong unless I watch a video or see a photo! I now try to have a mantra about left and right twists. A game changer for me was ironing the binding over and then clipping. Look forward to more tutorials x
I love these quilt along videos! Keep ‘em coming. Keystone ❤️❤️🌻
I love all ur quilts they r beautiful. I learn so much from watching ur videos. Keystone
I love how your beautiful quilt came!!!!! 💚
I loved this series, and I’m sewing a half-square triangle quilt along with you. Yours came out fabulous. I’ve struggled with the fact that I was not satisfied with the way mine looked when I laid out the hourglass blocks. A scrappy setting like yours made my eyes cross as my brain tried to figure out the pattern and yet I love yours. I took a good look at your finished quilt and saw the problem (I think!). Like you, I used 20 fat quarters in 3 colors - mine were red, green and off white. But I realized your quilt essentially has 4 colors because there is a dark blue and a much lighter light blue which made a 4th color. My greens and reds are all dark and then the off white pops too much and that’s all you can see. So, I changed the setting of the squares and I’m now satisfied. Now I want to make it again with 4 colors and see what happens! When I get the top sewn together, I’ll tag you on Instagram with a photo. Thanks for this series and all your videos. Great job!
Another great flosstube. Enjoyed it and learn a lot. Thanks! Keystone
Great video, Liz. Learned a few tricks along the way. Scrappy binding just enhanced your beautiful quilt.
You are such a great teacher Liz!! I have never machine sewn my binding but I am going to try it on my next quilt! Thanks so much!!!

You are so welcome!

and instructional
UA-cam! You are so confident in your sewing and just who you are.You are an impressive leader who admits when she makes a mistake
and is able to laugh
at herself-excellent indicator for a strong manager. Oops...got off subject.. Anyway, great video.
Great video. Working through oopsies real time helps us so much! It doesn't go perfect every time! Keystone
I can never remember how to bind…this will help! Thank you! Keystone

Thank you so much!
Your quilt is beautiful 😻
Thank you so much for the binding tutorial! Love your Scrappy binding
I loved how the quilt turned out. And you really made it look so easy and manageable with this video series. I’d love to give keystone sisters a try for the long arm quilting
Love the scrappy binding!
Thank you for an interesting and informative series!
Your quilt is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your process
You did a wonderful job explaining your process. Keystone.
I just discovered your site this evening. What a surprise. I love the quilt and the scrappy binding. Thank you for your easy manner and teaching ways. I enjoyed it. Oh keystone....lol
Great video!! So fun to watch you sewing. I love the scrappy binding and I would love Keystone opportunity. So fun………..
I do one extra step when binding. I press the seam allowances open and the binding flat, but do not press the binding in half before sewing it down. I just bring the edges together as I am sewing it to the quilt. After sewing the binding down, I press it out from the quilt. Makes turning it under so much easier and neater. Thank you for your video.
Beautiful quilt. Thanks for your tutorial
Great to watch you sewing. Nothing new to me but it was enjoyable! Keystone
How nice, Keystone.
Great series ! Yes I would like to check out Keystone quilting. The quilting looks great. Way to go Elizabeth Ann
Thanks so much for the tutorial, Liz. Very well done! Keystone.
I look forward to your next series! You're such a great teacher! Not quilting related but I watched quite a few videos on stitching in hand and I tried and it just felt unnatural. Then you did a video and it clicked instantly! Thank you for sharing both your quilting knowledge but cross stitch too! Keystone
Oh thank you so much!! Glad it worked for you! It took me awhile to find my favorite way to stitch in hand, I tried a lot of different styles!
I usually hand tack my binding down. Thanks for the demo, will try this on the next baby quilt I make. Keystone ❤
You are a great teacher
Your quilt is beautiful and you made it look so easy . Thank you so much for this series.
You are so welcome!
My worst fear is missing the binding on the back as i stitch... so glad to see how to fixed that :-) thank you I need to check out Keystone!
Great video! Thank you❣️
Thanks for the tip on using seam guide tape beside the needle for corners. Genius!! ❤️
Yes! When I saw that on instagram I thought the same thing, genius!
Nice job on the binding. I usually hand stitch the binding, maybe I’ll give machine a try. Keystone quilting did a nice job. Thanks for doing these videos.
Love the quilt! The tutorial was so helpful.
Thanks for sharing the brilliant tip of using the tape by the needle. I had spots where I didn’t catch the back until I started using a 9MM felling foot. I sew the binding to the front as you do, then using felling foot I sew the binding on the back. Love your videos
Beautiful quilt! The Keystone quilting is very pretty. Thank you for sharing ❤️
Thank you! 😊
Your quilt turned out beautifully. I so enjoyed making this quilt. I loved the quilting done by Keystone.
Thank you so much!
So cute. I need to get started on something. Afraid if I make a quilt, I won't stop 🛑
do it!!
My favorite way to bind
Love your finished quilt! Keystone
Beautiful quilt! I machine sew my binding on as well. Thanks so much for the video!!!!
I enjoyed your quilt along, I have never seen chain piecing binding, will be giving this a try, I love your scrappy binding.
i will try to chain piece anything! Its my favorite quilting technique!
Keystone! Beautiful quilt!
I absolutely love your Fat Quarter Hourglass Remix Quilt! I have been working on mine and thanks to your great tips, it is coming along great! I am thinking about sending it to Keystone Sisters to have them quilt it also. I love the quilting they did on your quilt! Can't wait to see the next quilt!

I just found your channel this weekend. You do an excellent job in your tutorial. ❤️
I appreciate the detail I this binding tutorial and how you fix areas you missed.
Keystone
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Liz, your quilt looks great. It was fun watching you put on this binding.
Glad you enjoyed it!
this channel is eversew much fun and you are a favorite of lots of us, thank you for all that you do, keep bringing great content AND keep on having fun! you are the keystone of this amazing channel and subscription. this is a beautiful quilt and is on my list to complete as well. sending a big thank you to your mom for inspiring this project! happy stitching, happy sewing and happy quilting!
Thank you!! I'm so happy my mom took those fq bundles from me and turned them into this quilt, thats what started it all! And now she's helping my sister make one for her mother in law! So fun!
Wow you made that look so easy! Keystone
Keystone! What an informative video. I have always hand sewn my binding and now I eager to try your method. Thank you.
There are some really good tutorials just on that type of binding, I really liked Jordan Fabrics one
Good binding tutorial! I've done machine binding but only the other way stitching it on the front which doesn't look as good as stitching in the ditch as you did but I didn't think I would be able to catch the binding in the stitches on the other side. I think you're right adjusting as you sew worked out better than the binding clips. Love your patriotic quilt and look forward to your next SAL.
That was fun. It's a cute quilt. Congrats on getting it done.
Thank you! 😊
What beautiful fabrics. This quilt is beautiful, thanks for sharing;)
Thank you! 😊
Keystone … awesome video!
I am not familiar with the Keystone Co. I will definitely check it out! Thank you for all you do for us quilters and stitchers ❤️
Beautiful quilt! A perfect idea you using the scraps for the binding.
I usually sew the label into the binding. on two sides; It makes a nice corner triangle, open at the top for a card. Good idea to abandon the clips.....if you use straight pins as you 'stitch in the ditch', you'll be able to see right away whether you're going to catch the binding underneath.
I have been looking for a simple yet beautiful quilt for my grand daughter's bed at my house. Thank you for the tutorial. I've always struggled with binding and feel like I can tackle it now. I'd love to spend some money with keystone for my upcoming project.
Thank you! Its a super quick quilt to put together! Enjoy!
@@elizabethanncanstitch Just tried your binding on a project bag and I'm in love! I have been struggling with binding for years to the point I
I called it my kryptonite. Thank you again.
Loved the sew along! Your fabric looks fabulous in that pattern. I have never tried long arming a quilt, but hand quilting takes so long! Would love to try with KEYSTONE.
Gorgeous!
Beautiful quilt! Would love the keystone sisters for quilting. Thank you.
You do such a great job on these tutorials. Thank you so much!
I do my binding the same way. Except I’ve never had good luck sewing it on totally by machine. I think I’ll try again. I use the left over binding pieces cut up into leaders & enders. Then my machine doesn’t choke up in the beginning.
You got a very nice shout out from Shanebrook Cottage
Thank you for sharing, its beautiful
My pleasure 😊
Thank you so much for this series! I loved watching every step from your process of choosing which fat quarters to pair through the binding. Thank you also for keeping in the happy accidents and how you fix them! It is so helpful to someone less experienced like myself. Keystone.
Thank you so much for this. I'm making my binding for mine today :)
Oh yay!
Beautiful quilt.
A trick I do is to put the binding on the back side of the quilt and then bring the folded edge of the binding to the front of the quilt and topstitch. I especially do this if I am gifting the quilt to a non-quilter or non-sewer as there is no chance that the hand sewn binding will come loose.
Yes I actually normally do sew to back, top stitch on front, but I like the look of stitching in the ditch from the front better, but I definitely need to narrow my seam allowance more, I didn't quite give myself enough space to fold to the back, but in the end i think it looks good!
Thank you for this video. I always hand sew the back side but will try machine sewing my next quilt. Keystone.
Whatever works for you! My mom still hand sews all her bindings but I got tired of handsewing! 😂
You and your quilt (and your mom's hourglass quilt) have inspired me to take up quilting again. Great tutorial! Looking forward to more great learning and working with Keystone Sisters to help bring my quilts to life.
I love watching everyone’s binding videos. I have yet to perfect it myself, but they get bound. I also love keystones quilting. One day I’ll finish a quilt top big enough to warrant a quilt service.
I’ve truly enjoyed watching you put this together! What a special quilt!!
Thank you so much!
I’m almost to the point of binding a quilt that I used Lori Holts Stitch fabric. Can’t wait to get it done. TFS. Always enjoy your tutorials! 😊 Keystone
Thank you for taking me through your binding process. I still am having binding issues. After watching your process I will give it another try. Glad to see you had some errors and then went back through to correct them. Big help to me.
Oh yes, mistakes happen, and most can be fixed! And luckily the binding ones are easy!
Hello Liz ..Inspired by this series and made my own hour glass quilt. Added five inch border and finish size is 70x85 and a solid binding. Ty so much. #keystone
Awesome!
Your video as usual was perfect. Looking forward to the next quilt along.

I really enjoyed watching your quilting process. I’ve always hand finished my bindings but I’m going to finish my next binding on my machine. I’m not sure why I haven’t tried it before? I would love to have keystone quilt my next quilt.
Your quilt turned out beautifully. I so enjoyed making this quilt.
I absolutely love this video because you just helped me stop hating binding. I can't wait to give it a try using your methods. Keystone did a great job and I would love to use them with my quilt.
