Hi Simon, Nice vid, brought back memories. Just a tip that you might like to try when getting sail up. Raise the jib first. Sheet it to just eased from hard on and start sailing. I just use a bungee on the tiller. Ease the main right down the traveler, so that the mainsail is feathering. Mainsheet uncleated so it will run as required. Should be easy to get the main up with the boat steady & not tangling with the lazy jacks. No need to have the motor on. Good Luck
@@simoncarteroz Hi Simon. In a couple of weeks I am trailing to Yeppon to spend 6 weeks between Yellow patch on Curtis and the Percies. Will keep a lookout for you. You are certainly having a long trip this year. Enjoy.
Thank you, Simon. Like yourself. I felt a little down after my son left to go back to Brisbane after helping me get ‘Sayshell’ up to Townsville. We have been very fortunate to be able to share our experiences with our children.
Hi Jim, I am anchored on the Johnston river up at Innisfail having a bit of a rest, hope the head up to Cairns in a week weather permitting to meet my wife who is flying up. I am feeling a bit isolated not getting much social interaction but still enjoying myself. Safe sailing regards Simon
Hi Simon. That’s so good to hear your catching up with your wife in Cairns. You’ve do so well since leaving Brisbane. Seem like a lifetime ago. Stay safe.
So nice to hear the water on the hull, sound of the winches, which might need a wee service, sun on the pretty water. Brings back a lot of memories. Your daughter seems to have a following.
I'm on a project boat. I purchased a Hartley 34 ferrocement yacht and I live aboard whilst doing her up. I'm hoping our boats meet and greet one day Simon. Cheers Gray. Logan river Queensland
Not sure how you ended up with embedded adverts in the video Simon, but it keeps causing my TV connection to drop out. Stopping viewing at about 9 minutes.
Simon, please tell me what video editing program you use for youtube. Loved the video...and you gotta love small boats and their frugal ways. I am of the same mind. Seven days in Horseshoe bay...but you don't let on what you did other than a few hikes. Do you hang out with other sailors in the evenings for sundowners?
Alan Davinci Resolve 16 I go walking. Self distancing between sailors so no sundowners. There is not much self interaction between boats if you are not head around in a group, Up here in far North Queensland not many traveling around. stay safe regards Simon

Graham, I give it a go. See you when I get back in the bay, in the new year.

Hi Simon, I been to magnetic island, do they still have the moke cars there ?
yes they do
A bit more modern then they used to be though, with a lot of them featuring pink trim. The tourists call them Barbie cars.
