One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard
Listening to this song always bring me back for 2017, how I read "Into the wild" for the first time and how it brought me back to life, when I was feeling so low and it gave me a new hope. It's like feeling in peace again, like coming back home.

Yep. Pretty amazing story. The young lad to which it is attributed was clearly struggling (as most of us are), but what a sublime tune, Vedder really hit it. That piano chord near the end!

Words cannot describe how much this song means to me, I get really emotional every time I hear it, the lyrics are incredible and the movie is and always will be my favourite, I used to think there was something wrong with me because I saw life in a different way to everyone else, I was depressed for a long time, then it all started to change when I realised that there were others out there that felt the same, I know exactly what I want in life now at 47 years old, I have always been passionate about the natural world and a simple life and that's were my future lies

This probably sounds stupid but Into the Wild recently touched me in such an incredible way in how I view certain things in the world and myself and the whole movie soundtrack itself is incredible... this song specifically though. (I’m not someone who cries easily, but this song hits something in me EVERY time I hear it)
You’re not stupid or weird. I cry every time I hear this. Into the Wild hits certain people. I bought all the supplies to go off and learned a ton about survival. Lost my job recently and the only thing keeping me from doing it is my cat.
