Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows version 4.16

- In this video I give you a tour of what's new and changed in the latest MTR on Windows version. 4.16 gives you the option to enable a whole new user interface which makes better use of the touch console real estate and promotes commonly used features by bringing them to the foreground.
4.16 is more though than a user interface. It's an entirely new and rewritten MTR application. This new application and interface isn't enabled by default. With 4.16 Microsoft is giving admins an option to stay as they are and move to the new interface when they are ready.

I fully agree to your conclusion regarding making use of the available screen real estate.
Now head over to Teams Panel and make use of its screen. Over there rethinking is even more needed.

2:07 I had such a request before - some groups of users from different companies were using the same meeting room for their meeting and they simply didn't want to show the others upcoming meeting subject, organizer and so on. The mechanism to disable this view could come in handy actually.
The ability to not show the subject is available on Teams Room Pro. But any user that marks their meeting private can prevent the subject from showing
Hope we are continued to see the option available to hide the calender thing on the front display. We have a custom wallpaper with the instruction and that calendar location hides it
Yes there is an XML attribute for that. But don't just remove it without asking if people like it. You can always change the background to accommodate

We just updated to new versione. Noticed in the layout session that "Show Chat" is missing.
it's a feature that needed to be activated by xml string? Or something like that?
It's a cloud update feature so should appear automatically

@@UCStatus Thanks for your link. On the Version before 4.16 i did it already like that and it Worked. With the "new" App, i just get a one color background as you have in your video on the left hand screen. Is there something else i have to check or look after in compare with the "old" App? What do i have to do different?
Just upload the image again and run the XML. I had the same issue with it going back to default
So there is not way to do this without an XML file change? My Teams room is already on 4.16.40 really want to get this new look. Any video tip on how to do this as I haven't worked with XML before
Correct. XML only for now. It's really easy. Just create the XML and save it to the correct folder as it says. Reboot and you get the new UI

Doesn't work like that. There are several vendors that work hard to build and sell supported hardware solutions

I can upload using my remote tool. But you can open explorer and save from a download

If you choose the option to report a problem, the teams will take screenshots and send them to the it admin. Where I can see these screenshots with the described problem?
If you add an email address in settings it will email the description, screenshots and logs to the email
So if I'm running this version but still the old UI, how do I change it over to the new look?

It might still be rolling out. Or maybe you don't have Zoom DGJ enabled in settings?
