Some very cool boats there , years ago a friend of mine had a Hacker Triple cockpit and took me for a ride , it was the first time I hade been around a boat like that . They are just amazing. Thanks for the video
I remember the boat races in Homewood in 1973. My family lived there from 1975 to 1999 in Chambers Landing and I loved the old Chris Craft boats at Obexers and the Homewood Marina. Used to always get a sandwich at the old Obexers Market before a day of boating. I miss Lake Tahoe so much. I wish we still had our family home. I have traveled the world for work and I still think Lake Tahoe is my favorite spot on this planet. Thanks for the footage.
In the Petaluma ski club; sitting on the gunwales when underway was a major no no. Years ago a guy fell out and there x was a runaway boat. Even if you weren't driving you could get run over by your own boat.
Loved this footage! My uncle, Mike Steffen used to race mahogany, wood boats nationally and internationally in the 40's and 50's. The sound of those engines and those hulls glistening in the sunshine brings back wonderful memories.
Wooden boats rides better than fiberglass or micro fiber ~ got weight to hold it down ~ WHAT A GREAT IDEAL ~ ELECTRIC BOATS! I would own one or build one 👍
Hi Steven, We are interested in using a clip of this video for our show, Blue Collar Auction. Would it be possible to use your video? Please let me know!
@@bluecollarauction9692 I just tried, but when I clicked on the B by your Blue Collar Auctions, it said "This channel doesn't have any video content". I tried to get it on all 5 of the categories and got the same response.
My family had a Chris Craft runabout built in 1950. It was 18-19’ long and featured the forward passenger area, then the engine compartment enclosed by 2 doors that lifted up and out from the center, then the rear passenger compartment. Does anyone know the model # or model name? Thanks
Good observation. These are all privately owned boats and the tradition is that the boat flys the flag of the owner and the country the owner lives in. So being that this show is in Lake Tahoe Nevada, the boats all originate from USA and fly American flags. At a boat show where new boats are for sale, they may have flags from their country of origin of manufacture.
I think she is a raceboat with a lot of historic pedigree : I think that´s the reason for winnig that Concours . I never want to be the Judge for that Competition because I never saw so many nice wooden boats in one place before
I grew up on boating on my Grandfathers new 1955 42 Mathews on Biscayne Bay. Life was good.

Love the romance aspect of these wonderful creations. The parade of awarded boats was too cool. Thanks for posting.
Great video Steven! Thanks for sharing!
An amazing selection of boats!
Wonderful footage! 🇨🇦

Love that last and holy grail of classic wooden runabouts the Chris Craft Cobra ...!
Brought back so many great memories I was raised on Lake St Clair on the mouth of the Detroit river, for us kids it seemed everyone had a Chris Craft,
Thanks so much for taking the time to share this.
All that beautiful wood has given me a huge Woody!
Whatever floats your boat, as we say. Lots of fun.
What a bunch of GREAT boats and they're King, the THUNDERBIRD
Their QUEEN, the Thunderbird. Tahoe in HER lake!
Much fun! Thx. I'm building a 24" model of a Chris Craft 1941. Helpful to see the real things!
❤👍❤👍❤👍
Tank you
Magnificent mahogany as far as the eye can see!
The classic boat show in Muskoka, Ontario is the BEST!

Thunderbird looks like the type of boat whose first owner didn't know how to say no to the builder who was taking LSD with breakfast. It's awesome.
Whats the boat at around 3:27? Looks like a racer. All of these boats are incredible works of art!
I can't tell exactly what brand, but it looks like the name is 6 letters long and the first 2 letters are VA
Now these are cool!
Q hermosa lancha...me haré uno antes de envejecer.

It sounds like fun. Which clips would you be using? Will I get credit and/or be compensated? Will I see the final production? Let me know.
@@stevenhorowitz5162 Hi Steven, I can answer better for you in an email. What is the best email to reach you at?
UA-cam does not typically allow me to write my email address. You can check out our channel description for my email to reach me, thank you!

I saw one that looked like a 1965 Boesch, but it turned out to be a Riva.

What you described is a 1950 19' Chris-Craft Racing Runabout. It is absolutely gorgeous!
What is the name of the boat G9 (3:20)
The name is" Nine Lives". You can see it around 3:05 briefly.
Yes sir, thank you! But that's his name, what's the model's name?
Sorry about that. I am not sure, but I’ll try to research it. My misunderstanding.
Are you from the United States?
@@stevenhorowitz5162 I think its a Zephyr 17ft, what do you think?

Split Second (6:12) might be impressive in many ways but it's also ugly. She must have a great personality.
And she is a fast one!

Que malo el "camarografo"
Qué chistoso! Estoy solamente un amateur. Trato hacerlo mejor en el futuro. Y que piensa acerca del resto de la producción?
De acuerdo, amigo! Deben ser muchas vistas mucho mas interesantes.
Nothing prettier
...and not a life jacket in sight!!!!!
I saw two!
They are too rich to drown!
Woodglut is nice for that.
