Beautiful design & engineering. Absolutely stunning when stationary but I find the bow rides high underway. But I’m most impressed with the young shipwrights, tradespersons, & engineers building this beauty. That, as a retired shipwrights, warms my heart.
I thought the same thing about the bow riding high. The boat slaps a bit when throttled up. Some bow ballast would solve that. But otherwise, it is a work of art. Gorgeous to look at.
@@davidhmacdermott I'd prefer a trimtab on each side - she ain't too high in front for pretty little trim tabs. Would make it possible to out-trim different amounts of people/load in different situations. Ballast is just so static.
As a designer, I really have to bow down to you. You have combined the consistency and clarity of a Wally design with the warmth and craftsmanship of a Classic and created something really new and unique. There will be imitators, be sure. But no one will be able to imitate the charisma of this work. This is my new favourite boat project.
How wonderful would it be to see an interview involving these brilliant, talented young shipwrights on site at Cockwells and Louis Sauzedde from the UA-cam channel Tips from a shipwright. Guys please make this happen it would be so special, the mutual benefit would be enormous! The views would be in the millions, guaranteed.
Years ago I helped my brother build a Dory fishing boat. I always cringed seeing all our craftsmanship covered by fiberglass and paint. It is amazing to see the work put into this amazing craft.
Gorgeous top quality workmanship and excellent choice of engines! The fit and finish is high end. I grew up around Morgan’s and Chris-Craft Sportsman U22.
this is a piece of art and engineer too, and the materials are unique the wood, the steel pieces , the kind of propulsion amazing !!! great job and passion in a yatch , the interior ceiling looks like the murano lamps in some fabulous lobby hotel in las vegas with a lot of murano lamps converted to a drawing or canvas , how i said "piece of art, inside and outside " !!!
Absolutely delightful in every way. If only, just to go for a ride. Best place in the world for that boat, South Channel, Parry Sound, Georgian Bay. If you haven't taken her there yet you owe her the satisfaction.

Congratulations, what an absolute gem. I hope the team are incredibly proud of what they have achieved and it helps bring in lots of new work to the yard.
A stylish looking boat, no doubt, but I'm not sure I'd want to take it out in any kind of weather. Rides too high in the bow at speed, and feels like a wave and a gust would flip her over. I love the teak veneer and the treatment with the copper. Would look great alongside, but I worry whether 3mm glued veneer on a plywood base would have any longevity. I note on the portside stern cleat, there seems to be veneer peeling away already. the fact that there is a cloth there tells me that this is so (7:16). I do love the view out over the wake at speed - awesome. If it was planing I think it would be even better, and those 2 Rangerover motors would not have to work quite as hard to get that speed. Perhaps the ballast needs to be shifted a few feet for'ard? But overall, a very tasteful looking toy. Congrats to your team.
@@kevincoates1597 38' keelboat finished late last year. Currently sailing in the Whitsundays with her new owner and his family. Painstakingly completed with exotic wood finishes to client specifications along with two custom-made sets of kevlar/mylar sails. The perfect boat for cruising. Would you like the full sales pitch - I am looking to build more for cashed-up discerning customers?
@@kevincoates1597 and since I took the time out to reply, I'd like to add something that I missed on my last pass - I think the passion and commitment presented by a young team was admirable. I have no doubt that those youngsters will go far.
Stunning boat. Would be another cool design if not already done out there. But, to design a pilot seat that is able to go from seated to standing. Maybe with seatbelt even to really hold ya while standing.
Absolutely stunning work guys. The teak, the copper inlays, the stainless, the bomb door anchor, the sound of those engines is perfect. As soon as I've won the lottery/premium bonds/ robbed a Drug baron I'm yours...
Make a vision board; place many pictures of this boat the water and coastline you wish to boat along. Place the board near your waking place. Each day look at your boat and the life you will live on it. You will subconsciously be drawing towards your boat ownership goals. I have made three vision boards and everything on them has come to fruition. God Bless your dreams...
Bloody magnificent piece of art! It would be cool to see a mono-hull hydroplane bottom version, with a mid/fore engine design (turbo charged to keep the footprint/size down) for those speed freaks out there. That classy looking anchor system popped out at me right away too! Even before the shots of it at anchor I was thinking "hold on a minute, what's this!?" Absolutely brilliant design!
STUNNING .... just absolutely STUNNING ... JOB WELL DONE to the Ladies and Gentlemen who have their hands on everyone of these MAGNIFICENT works of ART ...
It is an amazing boat the lines an use of the materials are superb. From what i can see on the video the fit and finish could have been a bit sharper. People that can afford these luxury items are used to very high standards. But it is a thing of beauty.
I have a Chris Craft mahogany and I look at this and think about what Chris Smith would say if he was still with us. I believe he would be dumbfounded and in the next breath would be " how can I do it better ". I can't imagine better!
What an awesome boat. Why haven't I seen this sooner:-) At first glance I was thinking it reminded me of a classic Chris Craft or Riva, and they were mentioned in the video, but this is clearly its own thing. It seems to have a timeless yet modern look to it, or is it a modern but classic look to it? I can't decide. It's definitely a piece of floating artwork. I especially like the water jets which should give it a nice boost in manoeuvrability. I can easily see this as a mega yacht tender.
Boat anchor system does not remind me of a bomb bay but more along the lines of hidden machine guns on a James Bond vehicle. I could easily image a pair of these as tenders for a Benetti Super Yacht.
It does look heavy by the stern. I think they should redesign the transom to accommodate a couple of Mercury outboards. It looks like it doesn’t plane. If not you should redesign the bottom. Since you don’t use a boat like this in rough water, you certainly want it to plane.
Young craftsmen with different accents working together to make art. Awesome

Quite fantastic workmanship on display
Money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy a nice boat.
Same thing right
What a marvellous amount of pride you all have for your craft. 😊

its nice to see young builders. so much of this kind of craft is being lost. you all should be very proud of what you created. it is a beautiful boat.

There's only on to say........ It's absolutel beautiful. A Handmade dream. Wonderful.
Thumbs up from a german boatbuilder. Really nice work.
As an engineer, many congrats on making such a technical and crafted masterpiece to your team Mr. Cockwell

outstanding boat. Well done to the team that built it.

That is a nice boat. I like the anchor locker design, and the mechanics involved with raising and lowering the anchor, that’s pretty slick.

Classic cars and boats were aesthetically designed to be a treat for the eyes rather than eye sores like some modern vehicles.

Simple and understated is the most difficult goal to achieve and you all have succeeded.
Incredible!!!!
The way she sits in the is elegant but underway she looks like a Beast.
the boat isn't bad either
A swell ship for the skipper, but a hellship for the crew! .. think of cleaning and maintenenc… But … beautiful!!!!
Pure beauty.
from a distance it looks very nice.
Stunning.
Absolutely beautiful piece of craftsmanship, but does it ever plane out?
10.5m 370bhp for § 1.3M. that price seems very well balanced. absolute perfect craftsmanship.
Looks like a Lego Riva copy, all the design accents are all Riva. Certainly a very beautiful craft, shame I could never afford one.
Beauty!
That's a very pretty dinghy...
Never mind, I think that's technically a mini-yacht for the primary yacht

looks amazing what drives the vessel i know it has twin diesel v8's but is it shaft drive ,stern drives or jet units cheers
Hi @trinescape, it is powered by Twin 320hp Yanmar 8LV Hamilton Jet Drives

Could you please advise, was this Lady on the deck included to standard Kit, or its aftermarket?
I'm guessing the elegant adornment at the rear of the craft is a very high cost optional upgrade ... the one in a black bathing suit? ;)
They didn't pick her for her diving prowess that's for sure 🤣
I see old Chris Crafts and Gar Woods frequently and this is missing something I can't put my finger on it but like the new take on the shape
Beautiful. As one with no knowledge of boatbuilding. Is that teak wood covered by epoxi on top?
Twin jet drives like the Uniflight PBRs. And an awesome design. Can I get one?
